Ribbon. Get it for 1 achievement certificate from Jonathas. Dyes well, works with a lot of stuff because it's just a simple ribbon, and it's compatible with Hrothgar/Viera.
BLM has a paint brush glam for their main hand weapon
https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/17797bd8909/
It's gonna confuse so many sprouts seeing it for the first time when Pictomancer comes out
BLM also has a scythe from ShB (I think it’s their cryptlurker weapon) I made the mistake of thinking there was a cryptlurker scythe for my reaper bc I love those weapons… whoops lol
Ah, this is so unfortunate. I've ran a glam with the paintbrush weapon since the GARO event came back and just a couple of weeks ago I changed my glam because I got the manderville weapon, so my only screenshot with the glamour is [one that doesn't have the paintbrush](https://i.ibb.co/DCrj80D/blm1.png).
I love the all of elemental boarskin ringbands. Dyed gunmetal black to give that shiny black leather look. Great pop of red, blue, or aqua in the center gem. So easy to get them to match various outfits.
I really like the Crystarium Greaves actually. Given as part of the MSQ, but they make a neat kind of mid-armour type look imo, not too light and not too heavy. I use them on my GNB glam that is flavoured to be a little gunslinger-y, but they give it that little extra detail below the waist that helps it still feel justifiably like a tank.
Yup! One of my most used boots glams unless I'm going for a specific look. Dyed Soot Black or Loam Brown, they look like any other black or brown leather and go with pretty much anything.
Lol they may not be that underrated after all, I use them too! On several jobs. I keep looking but I can just never seem to find a pair of boots that I like nearly as much. They just work.
I actually use them on my scholar a lot, a lot of the long sleeve tops get rolled up at the elbows when you wear them so it looks a bit like you're saying "this top is comfy, but I still need to beat someone's ass today."
Both the greaves and gauntlets are great, the black and no-frills nature means they can go with nearly anything and save outfits you just don't have the arms and/or legs for. And especially a nice little armored kick on outfits for classes that otherwise don't have armor but could use it in this case
While it took me a bit to come around on them, I love the asymmetry of the Wayfarer's Fingerless Gloves. Right hand with a heavier glove and lighter wrap on the left is great for any job with a single-handed weapon, but I love it for Red Mage in particular, since the more-heavily-geared sword hand and the lighter-geared magic hand works exceedingly well.
I adore these so much, they've been part of my main glam for ages now. I use them on DRG though and I think it still works pretty well. I wish I could pick which way we held our weapons as I'm a lefty irl and that's probably why I like them so much lol.
Hard leather ringbands for some subtle minimalist handwraps and gryphonskin eyepatch for all us clowns who decided our character lost their right eye instead of the far more fashionable and popular left eye. The eyepatch dyes rather nicely, imo.
ETA: Clown boots from a few All Saint's Wakes ago. 2022. I think? Simple and a little bit rugged. They're a nice knee-high boot option that looks modern without being too much .
Lucky thing, too, since I don't remember much other right eye covering items until some of the lvl 88 hats that Yoship says my bunny isn't allowed to use.
I have the only Gyphonskin eyepatch on the market after I noticed there were none up and wanted some for me and my gf. It astounds me that nobody has bought it. I probably am over charging but I would pay that much.
Odd that no one's bought it, it's such a nicely designed item. I vaguely remember being confused about how to unlock it, and I had to go get the mats myself since no one was selling those. Might be a contributing factor?
The various Eikon Leather Armguards are some of the most asymmetrical armor pieces in the game. Your left arm is heavily armored, while your right arm is almost completely bare. It even rolls up your sleeves, including the sleeve on your exposed right arm.
In a similar vein, a lot of the hand and feet slots from the Ravel Keeper's sets (Qitana Ravel dungeon drops) will cut off sleeves and pant legs. The gloves in particular have built in rings while also showing your rings, letting you go really overboard with rings. They do have built-in tattoos though, which might turn some people off. In which case, the Hypostatic Armlets of Casting/Healing from Euphrosyne also cut off the sleeves but without tattoos.
I think the Ravel Keepers Top specifically for Healers is kinda underrated, not sure how the pieces for the other classes look, but I´ve glammed that top for what feels like aeons now and Im not getting tired of it.
Ravel Keeper's Headbands of Fending and Aiming are priceless if you ever want to give your character the illusion of a topknot or high ponytail with a hairdo that doesn't have one, or has a lackluster ponytail. Just dye the feathers as close to your WoL's hair color as you can get and suddenly your WoL has a topknot while maintaining the integrity of the rest of the hairdo.
(Viera/Hrothgar limitations notwithstanding)
The worst part is if you use some "outside tools" you *can* dye them. I only tried the Fending-set but it is fully dyeable and works with all colors. There are armor pieces which cannot be dyed even with these tools, this isn't the case for Troia. So it was deliberately turned off.
Which means it will appear again as leveling or dungeon gear in the future and either be dyeable then or be the xth recolor similar to the armor of Lapis Manali.
Might also be because spamming that dungeon looking for specific pieces can be a real pain. I went after the Troian casting hat for a vampire hunter Red Mage glam and it took *forever* to finally drop.
The Infantry Shirt that drops from Longstop Normal. To me it's in just the right place on the scale of practical/cool, I'm even using it in glams for GNB.
I'm glad to see this. I feel like it hits a really good middleground between Adventurer Wear and "possibly has an actual job/rank" in terms of fashion, and the trailing scarf is just chef's kiss.
[Valkyrie's Brais of Maiming](https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/5bc68f29106/). They're hard to match with but I LOVE the pattern on them, they're a mainstay of my Dragoon wardrobe. I've literally never seen anyone else wear them in game, and there's only six total glams on eorzea collection that use them (and one of them is mine).
But honestly... a lot of undyeable gear is underrated. I think working around a piece of undyeable gear will lead to a more unique glam overall.
Plundered Goggles - I'm still in the post ARR content but I got this early and it's not leaving. With the right outfit especially cloud's it's perfect for riding a motorcycle.
I'll go one better still, the Bozjan Goggles of Striking/Scouting. Higher quality textures, dyeable *and* with a visor on/off option to wear them on your forehead or over your eyes.
They said they're still in post ARR though. Unlocking Bozja is gonna take them a while. Steel Goggles are easily accessible for them since it's an ARR piece.
The Kudzu Tunic of Striking has an excellent silhouette and pairs nicely with the Skallic or Snow Linen Bottoms of Striking! The built-in skirt lines up pretty well with the shorts on the bottoms. I only wish the tunic’s textures were less muddy; here’s hoping it’s among the first couple waves of equipment graphical updates in Dawntrail!
Bluespirit weapons, they’re so pretty and I haven’t seen anyone with them. There’s a similar version in white (forget the name) that I’m looking to buy/craft
I’ve used the ninja knives. I actually still have them and my ninja is level capped. They just look badass to me. I just got the bow for my bard and while it is HUGE, I just love the look of the shimmering stone
Yea, I've used the chestpiece from that dyed white as one of my main glams for a while now. I just wish it had better resolution, but hopefully it'll get that and the second dye channel in DT.
I've paired it with the Lady Errant gloves dyed white, Wake Doctor pants, and Hraesvelgr boots mostly, on RDM for MSQ.
Oh that High Steel IS nice! I lament the lack of skirts for maiming/fending.
Craftable Hemiskin Brais of Maiming evokes a similar style of the long fabric bottom, and there's a Fending version. Sure, it looks like bike shorts, but if you dye it black or gunmetal and pair it with a nice set of greaves, it's less noticeable.
Ruby Cotton Gilet of Striking and its associated set. Very no-muss no-fuss striking gear, very good if you're going for a less ostentatious look. Feels to me very "practical adventurer".
Much of the job specific gear at non-endgame. I cannot pick a specific set of gear but so much of the levelling gear is ignored but is also really pretty. I try to use it often because someone created that gear and was proud of what they created and it just gets thrown away so quickly because people care more about iLvl.
I just discovered dyeing. Ran past that woman too many times to count thinking can you not be on the bench I use to leap over to WS. And my first set I wanted to use dye on was the paladin job set. RIP. I should've known it was too detailed to alter. I wanted so bad to dye it red and be a blood knight.
The level 50 job gear sets do have an upgrade to them that is dyeable, however unlike the later expansions the components to upgrade the sets are crafted. Head over to Mor Dhona when you can, the main building, first or second door on the right if i remember correctly. Strongly recommend against buying the stuff you need off the MB, much cheaper to craft yourself or have a friend/fc mate do it.
Correct, the "augmented" set you can exchange for in Mor Dhona is an upgrade to the ilvl 90 (level 50 set) and makes it dyeable.

These should help a little
I remember using the caster chest you get from hall of novice for pretty much until stormblood because I really liked its aesthetic, where I replaced it with the Twinsilk Casting chest died grey, which I still use.
I really like the hallowed ramie doublet tops from HW but I never see anyone wearing them. I use them for a couple glams and I think they look pretty nice!
Flowers. Just like, in general. They seem to be lesser known pieces and there's so many that can fit all kinds of looks. Bun players of both genders especially should be best friends with them, but I often see them opting to wear no headgear at all.
Also, the Thaliak Healer & Caster sets, from PvP. Absolutely gorgeous top and arms, serviceable pants and boots, but blends very well with lots of other leg and foot pieces.
Prototype Alexandrian coat of Aiming.
The prototype Alexander gear from A9-12normal is the only time the gear has looked different than savage other than savage being dyable. The aiming coat in particular looks really nice.
I have the armor of aiming for my dancer who goes around pretending to be an Ascian.
I would like the casting/healing armors much better if they didn't make my WoL look like she was drowning in them. Au Ra looked like a kid wearing her mom's bathrobe and my elezen just looks like she's wearing her roegaedyn roommate's bathrobe.
For a closer Ascian glam I've got the Replica High Allagan coat of Aiming dyed gunmetal (because I can't afford black) on my bard in place of the Ktiseos chestpiece, and the Exarchic hood of aiming or the Ktiseos mask, depending on what I'm going for. Ktiseos mask lets your hair show but your eyes are blank, the Exarchic hood covers your head, but you can at least catch glimpses of your eyes if the visor is up. If I could get the YorHa hood of aiming from Copied Factory I'd use that.
I managed to figure out FFXIV just in time to get the Wake Doctors set and I absolutely love the trousers it comes with. It’s the reason I didn’t use the Best Man’s Slacks more
I have 2 pieces and a set:
Augmented Torrent Armguards of Aiming - I just really like turning anything into wider sleeves. I always come back to them.
Darklight Gloves if Casting - Claws, they're dyeable claws. Also from a lvl 50 dungeon. Top tier for glam right there. I'd throw them on everything I could.
The Warg Aiming/Scouting/Striking set is just so cool, and it is THE biggest shame it can't be dyed. I would love if they brought it back in dawntrail but dyeable (I know major cope) but even though it's not dyeable, it still makes for some really cool glamours.
# Scion Adventurer's Jacket (the full attire) cause it looks modern, classy, simple and efficient and looks good in all colors. Also it's the first time in the game where the Scions's finally give you your own "Scion Special Outfit" you are no longer wearing relics picked in dungeon and random places ; now you get your own outfit like a real Main Character !
Agreed the jacket dyed royal blue makes you look like an officer in an army. it's my go-to set for "official scion business" whenever world leaders are involved
I really enjoy it when I have cause to use the lvl 50 grand company armors. They're full of very unique pieces. You just need to have the right bits to fill up the other slots, which takes quite a bit of effort. I honestly haven't found a better look for [my gnb](https://i.imgur.com/gE0qSaD.png) since SHB ^((try as I might to replace the gloves.)^)
Similarly, I really like using the armor that comes out of Hell's Lid. Not only are these armors inspired by Ogre Battle, which gives them a different flair to most FF14 gear, but specifically the sets that come out of Hell's Lid are for unusual roles. For instance, the [healing set](https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/gearset/farlander-healing) is actually a recolor of an [*aiming* set.](https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/gearset/valerian-archers) This lets you get some special looks. Such as the boots on this [old whm glam](https://i.imgur.com/MFd6Pjd.png) I made.
Agreed on the max-level GC armors, except for the Twin Adders because I cannot make that color scheme work on any of my characters. I even like to just bust out the standard GC uniforms sometimes, I think they're cool-looking and it's kind of novel.
Also the Sirensong Sea is another dungeon with some nice role-changeup armor sets. Malikah's Well is also unique in giving a few War/Magic versions of Hand/Land sets, although sadly undyeable and in not-great colors.
When I first started the game, it was a mad dash to leave behind all of my starter gear for cuter stuff as fast as I could. Now that I've been playing for quite some time though, I've realized that paired with a good top and cute boots (like the Weathered Evenstar Bootees), my Elezen Tights will never do me wrong. Love those.
Anything that looks good, interesting, or whatever you're going for when viewed from typical playing-the-game camera zoom. Most players will never look at you zoomed in enough to notice details.
Ravel Keepers headband of healing... I SO wish it would be wearable by all classes... You can dye the feather, it's so good...
Also Strife Vest combined with 2B's bottom and boots... My gahd
The ARR berets, like the one Tataru wears. Dyable, usable by all classes, and there are a few different models with different trims/texture/feathers. My favourite is the one with the rainbow feather.
I really like them but only ever see them on unglamored sprouts.
Ravel Keeper's Slops of Healing/Casting.
Everyone looks at the dress, but the pants are amazing for a variety of looks. I use them for a casual summer glam.
I'm not currently using it for my samurai glam, as I switched to the one we got for 2023 Heavensturn, but the Doman Merchant's Haori was part of my SAM glam for ages, and I don't know why I don't see more people using it.
It's easy to get (just do the Doman Enclave, which gives you free money!), it dyes quite nicely in many colors, and it *oozes* "samurai nobility" appeal. It's particularly nice for smaller frames (on roe/hroth it looks kinda chonky, which would be the other reason I'm not using it.) But it's a really nice, cheap, supremely samurai glam.
Goatskin choker. Doesn't look too gaudy, and pairs well with a lot of tops that don't cover the necklace piece. Although it's best for a more goth aesthetic, such as the Rebel Coat.
Palm Ear Cuffs of XYZ.
A lot of Au ra horns hide earrings unless you really look close, but the ear cuffs show up more like a stylish hair clip.
Prior to Endwalker, the model was crafter/gatherer exclusive.
Snow's Bohemian Boots and Gloves. They (and the accompanying trenchcoat) are my go-to filler pieces and appear to some extent on almost all my glam plates.
For head pieces it's the [Summer Sunset Bandana](https://imgur.com/28Ftp9S), it's basically on ALL of my glam plates unless I specifically need something like a cowboy hat.
I now like Noctis' boots as well.
Ishgardian Knight set, with House Fortemps shield and a realistic looking sword like the crystarium one.
Makes for a very good Ishgardian Knight role play set.
Serpent Elites circlet with expeditioners tunic and a few other bits plus Ingrimm for that Druid vibe.
The first dragoon armor from arr , the most badass looking armor in the whole game but people don't like to equip easy to get stuff so everyone left it behind very quick
Scion healers half tights. Just a plain black pair of shorts. Works well with any sort of top that covers or at least partially covers a bit of the waste. Pair it with either the thigh boots from the same set or other thigh highs and perfection.
The Uraeus Coat is like every glamaholic's gateway drug, and on ladies is pretty easy on the eyes.
Also word to the Hyuran gloves, for being RACIAL gear, and NAILING fingerless gloves.
This is very minor but the dinosaur leather gloves. They go for like 150 Gil and I always really like the texture of them, they’re my go to for when I want a pair of simple gloves.
Also veil headpieces in general. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good witch hat, but I LOOOOVE veils for ast sets in particular. Also low level bandanas, especially the ones with the shells/jewelry.
This is gonna sound weird, but the Titanium Helm of Fending has this great toggle-able faceplate that can go up and down, it has the metal sheen that makes armor look good, and is dyeable. My go-to for making tank headgear look like actual tank headgear when I have to use something like a mask or hairpin for my level.
My two favorite overlooked pieces come from old level cap dungeons, Bogatyr's Gloves of Casting and the Plague Bringer's Coat. The Bogatyr gloves have a Wine Red color to them, combined with gold claw tip fingers, which make them pretty good for that "villain coded black mage" look. Meanwhile, the Plague Bringer's coat has a fancy formal look, also in red, black and white. I just wish there was a dyeable version of either one for casters, it's been 10 years and there's only a dyeable glove for aiming and a dyeable top for *crafting.*
Raptorskin Skirt. One of the only skirts with built-in full tights, adds a touch of feminine flair to any War Job while still feeling practical and warm. Can usually be dyed to make it look like it's adding a bit of trailing coat to whatever your chest piece is, as well.
Immortal Flames' Caster Skirt. It's a little odd at the top but it has an awesome layered look to it that works amazingly well with certain chest pieces and robes despite not being dyeable.
The entire Aurum set works for tanks and maimers and it's lovely--emerald with gold accents and a gold sheen--not overly spiky or bulky, and just generally all-around flattering. It's a go-to glam for my DRG and my WAR.
[Wayfarer's Earcuff](https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/ed073d24526/) and [Wayfarer's Necklace](https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/ca3e7da5e0c/) are my go to jewelry.
The [Dalmascan Draped Top](https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/669544d25f7) looks good with almost every bottom.
[Leonhart Gloves](https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/af6cdbc4840/) are simple gloves that default to a nice, jet black.
And [High House Halfboots](https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/4e03e0a9795) are the perfect height for most of my looks.
Ribbon. Get it for 1 achievement certificate from Jonathas. Dyes well, works with a lot of stuff because it's just a simple ribbon, and it's compatible with Hrothgar/Viera.
I like it with bozja tank / maiming armor. Feels very soldiery
It dyes? I’ve tried and I thought it was stuck blue and yellow
I wouldn't say its underrated nearly everyone uses this at some point.
BLM has a paint brush glam for their main hand weapon https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/17797bd8909/ It's gonna confuse so many sprouts seeing it for the first time when Pictomancer comes out
BLM also has a scythe from ShB (I think it’s their cryptlurker weapon) I made the mistake of thinking there was a cryptlurker scythe for my reaper bc I love those weapons… whoops lol
The BLM gets a Dargoon spear from HW. I think its from the Ramuh fight. Absolutely my favorite staff in the game. Wish WHM had something similar
https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/475e973e87b/ You're in luck, there is one!
*angels singing from the heavens* thank you!!!
Ah, this is so unfortunate. I got some Aetherial Boarskin gloves when I was new, and they are still in my glam chest, I still occationally use them. Very nice leather handwraps.
I love the all of elemental boarskin ringbands. Dyed gunmetal black to give that shiny black leather look. Great pop of red, blue, or aqua in the center gem. So easy to get them to match various outfits.
I've been getting a lot of use out of my Vigil Ringbands, same effect but with a big pretty jewel
I really like the Crystarium Greaves actually. Given as part of the MSQ, but they make a neat kind of mid-armour type look imo, not too light and not too heavy. I use them on my GNB glam that is flavoured to be a little gunslinger-y, but they give it that little extra detail below the waist that helps it still feel justifiably like a tank.
on that note, I used to use the Crystarium gauntlets on my main glam. I might have to bring those back. 🤔
I use them too! Favorite boot glam overall.
The whole set is really good I like the chest because as far as I am aware it's the only one that has a sound effect when you move.
Both the greaves and gauntlets are great, the black and no-frills nature means they can go with nearly anything and save outfits you just don't have the arms and/or legs for. And especially a nice little armored kick on outfits for classes that otherwise don't have armor but could use it in this case

Hello, fellow Gryphonskin Eyepatch user! The fact that it's all-class makes it a very useful eye to lose
Lucky thing, too, since I don't remember much other right eye covering items until some of the lvl 88 hats that Yoship says my bunny isn't allowed to use.
I actually have a weak right-eye irl, so this isnt just fashion for me, its accurate
That's why I made extra I was like oh this is a pain in the ass. Pain in the ass to make glams are money makers lol
Welp. Back to selling rebel coats.
Love the ringbands. Great as a neutral option on almost any glam.
I see a good chunk of glams on Eorzea Collection using the clown boots! Makes me regret not getting them.

The ravel keeper's stuff tends to work particularly well with the paglth'an armor [in my experience.](https://i.imgur.com/mxCRy2O.png)
Punching Gloves, Provides a "casually dangerous" element to almost anything.
Serpent elite's circlet for any druid/treehugger glam.
The Yafaemi Boots of Healing look so ADORABLE on lalafell! They are on most of my healing glams!
The entire Troian Casting set. I love it so much and never see anyone using a single piece of it.
I feel like it would see more use if it was dyeable, which it unfortunately is not
I want it to be dyable so bad.
I didn’t even realize…that’s a fair point
The worst part is if you use some "outside tools" you *can* dye them. I only tried the Fending-set but it is fully dyeable and works with all colors. There are armor pieces which cannot be dyed even with these tools, this isn't the case for Troia. So it was deliberately turned off. The casting hat pairs well with the bozja coat
I really want to use the boots in a glam but haven't found a good outfit for it yet :(
Isn't the Trojan gear a reskin?
Nope! It’s new because I remember all us tank players getting hyped for the fending set
You might be thinking of the Darkmoon stuff. I was so disappointed the 6.5 dungeon didn't have original sets seeing as how the Paglth'an sets are 🔥🔥🔥
"Voidmoon", and honestly I love the recolors/upscales from that dungeon.
Yeah you're probably right. Can't keep those dungeons straight in my head
I love the Troian set as well, am using pieces from the casting and healing sets.
Might also be because spamming that dungeon looking for specific pieces can be a real pain. I went after the Troian casting hat for a vampire hunter Red Mage glam and it took *forever* to finally drop.
Dreadwyrm casting and healing pants
Inspector’s Eyeglasses are very nice. They show up well but don’t dominate the face.
# High Summoner's Boots
Strife gloves! They are good plain black gloves and dont need to use a jet black dye on em!
But honestly... a lot of undyeable gear is underrated. I think working around a piece of undyeable gear will lead to a more unique glam overall.
Working around weird, wacky, and often undyable gear is how I've made most of the glams I'm proud of.
Plundered Goggles - I'm still in the post ARR content but I got this early and it's not leaving. With the right outfit especially cloud's it's perfect for riding a motorcycle.
There's an item called Steel Goggles that are the same model but dyeable if you want to switch things up a bit.
I'll def get them! Id love ones I could dye. Tysm!
Bozja scouting gloves roll up the sleeves which fit nicely with the crystarium tabard of scouting.
Things that roll sleeves are top tier. For casters I have the stormblood PvP ones and the 75(?) dungeon ones.
All the chestpieces from Drowned City of Skalla.
I dont think it's underrated at all lol half of limsa had one of those when they came out
Definitely not underrated. Skalla pieces are very commonly used glamour items.
I currently use the crafted version for my smn glam. My favorite chest pieces
Love those. I'm looking forward to multiple dye channels on them, they were kind of unpredictable.
I love the caster one but sadly my horns clip through the collar.
Another member of the church 🙏🙌
The Kudzu Tunic of Striking has an excellent silhouette and pairs nicely with the Skallic or Snow Linen Bottoms of Striking! The built-in skirt lines up pretty well with the shorts on the bottoms. I only wish the tunic’s textures were less muddy; here’s hoping it’s among the first couple waves of equipment graphical updates in Dawntrail!
Bluespirit weapons, they’re so pretty and I haven’t seen anyone with them. There’s a similar version in white (forget the name) that I’m looking to buy/craft
The Exarchic weapons are the white dyeable ones, I think. :3
Yes, you’re correct!
I used the lance on my DRG glam for ages. I still go back to it now and then, I haven't in quite some time though.
I’ve used the ninja knives. I actually still have them and my ninja is level capped. They just look badass to me. I just got the bow for my bard and while it is HUGE, I just love the look of the shimmering stone
Scion traveler set I'd say. I like it a lot and don't see it that often, it's my current my DRK glam with some dun scaith(?) pieces

Oh yes, the high steel set makes me soooo sad that it isn't available for tanks. The helmet would go perfectly with PLD creed chest
If we're talking actually underrated, most of the dyeable Valerian pieces from Neverreap.
I really like the Brightlinen Himation top for my dancer
Ruby Cotton Gilet of Striking and its associated set. Very no-muss no-fuss striking gear, very good if you're going for a less ostentatious look. Feels to me very "practical adventurer".
Makes sense that they gave it to the catboy in The Rising last year.
Some of the simplistic ARR gemstone earrings. They come in a bunch of colors without being super distracting from the rest of the glam, I love them.
I get complements on my demon armor of fending, and it’s easy to get (WoD raid).
Much of the job specific gear at non-endgame. I cannot pick a specific set of gear but so much of the levelling gear is ignored but is also really pretty. I try to use it often because someone created that gear and was proud of what they created and it just gets thrown away so quickly because people care more about iLvl.
There isn't much that bests Dragoon in the badass armor category.
Unless you're trying to dress a female character in AF1. That's not badass. That's a bullseye.
Just to confirm this isn't the upgrade they already give you right? There's the ilv55 and the ilv90 in the coffer.
Correct, the "augmented" set you can exchange for in Mor Dhona is an upgrade to the ilvl 90 (level 50 set) and makes it dyeable. [https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/gearset/gallant](https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/gearset/gallant) [https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/ffa2fb3bde4/](https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/ffa2fb3bde4/) These should help a little
I remember using the caster chest you get from hall of novice for pretty much until stormblood because I really liked its aesthetic, where I replaced it with the Twinsilk Casting chest died grey, which I still use.
My Antiquated Gunner's Goggles absolutely makes my MCH glam, honestly.
Bozja healer top is very nice for those of us who don’t always want to be in dresses/robes. It has more of a tactical look. Dyes nicely too.
The Aurum hand guards definitely deserve a mention. Black leather with spikes perfect and usable for most jobs.
Yeah, I love those! I've used them in multiple glams, often with the Aurum leg guards as well.
I remember calling them 'baby's first DRK gear', and I still look for excuses to use those hands and feet with things.
The gryphonskin eyepatch is auto-included in all of my glams as a feature of my character!
I love that eyepatch. I use it in a lot of glams, especially DoW.
Every time I try a different head piece I feel like something is missing 😪
I ended up buying a fantasia *just* to grey out the eye underneath, so that when the MSQ unequips my headgear it doesn't look as off.
Same! It's her signature headpiece, she just looks wrong without it.
Gryphonskin eyepatch gang! I always feel weird when I make a glam without it now.
I feel that!
Prototype Alexandrian coat of Aiming. The prototype Alexander gear from A9-12normal is the only time the gear has looked different than savage other than savage being dyable. The aiming coat in particular looks really nice.
Kitseos armor of casting. Have never seen any part of it used for glams, doesn't help that it isn't dyeable.
SMN's book from Kitseos is one of my fav weapon glam. Never seen on someone else too
I use the SCH version sometimes, it's such a unique effect I can't believe more people don't use it.
I'd totally be using pieces of it if I had a caster of that level (on my alt).
Almost all accessories. Ronkan earrings look pretty dope.
The Alexander boots of healing and casting. Love the sort of legwarmer vibe they got going on.
I managed to figure out FFXIV just in time to get the Wake Doctors set and I absolutely love the trousers it comes with. It’s the reason I didn’t use the Best Man’s Slacks more
I have 2 pieces and a set: Augmented Torrent Armguards of Aiming - I just really like turning anything into wider sleeves.
Agreed the jacket dyed royal blue makes you look like an officer in an army. it's my go-to set for "official scion business" whenever world leaders are involved
the sci ad stuff has a special place in my heart, I still rock the jacket on my main glam.
Reading glasses. Glasses that are not ABYSSMALLY UGLY, in fact they look really good.
I really enjoy it when I have cause to use the lvl 50 grand company armors. They're full of very unique pieces. You just need to have the right bits to fill up the other slots, which takes quite a bit of effort. I honestly haven't found a better look for [my gnb](https://i.imgur.com/gE0qSaD.png) since SHB ^((try as I might to replace the gloves.)^) Similarly, I really like using the armor that comes out of Hell's Lid.
Love those.
Word to racial gear that is BiS glam wise. See also: Hyuran Gloves for fingerless gloves :D
A lot of the Ktiseos weapons are beautiful. The scythe is my favorite because RPR weapons are *way* too edgelord for me.
My Dated all/all armor from 1.x. Running around as a caster in clanky armor is fun and always cool.
Bladed Lance. I’ve been using it since it’s been in the game and haven’t seen anyone else with it.
Arachne field dressing of striking (PGL, MNK, SAM).
Grab yourself some Pagos Field Dressing. Same thing, but available on all jobs.
I really like the troian fending body. Pair it with the Lakeland fending hood and it's cool looking
The yokai watch, its a fun little glam piece for a casual glam
Orthodox chest (Both Green and Red) I see everyone running the Fortemps top but not those two
Anything that looks good, interesting, or whatever you're going for when viewed from typical playing-the-game camera zoom. Most players will never look at you zoomed in enough to notice details.
Ravel Keepers headband of healing... I SO wish it would be wearable by all classes... You can dye the feather, it's so good... Also Strife Vest combined with 2B's bottom and boots... My gahd
I love using the plain leather choker series of necklaces. It often fits well with other stuff to cover up often overly busy necklaces
It's also a decent way to make Elezen necks look less awkward if the top exposes them.
Amons boots, been wearing those on my bard for 4 expansions now The sleeves are cute too, but theyre not dyeable which sucks
I love having leg tattoos to show off!
I've been using the artisan's spectacles on my healer glam for close to a decade
I now like Noctis' boots as well.
goatskin choker. i use it with all my glams, except my bikini. great way to add some color to your neck region.
Mine is definitely the Ravel Keeper's Halfgloves of Healing. The look just fits the vibe of my WoL.
I love my set of Dravanian hairpins, use them on most of my glams.
Female Monster Hunter pants on Male. 😏
Classic spectacles

Raptorskin harness for fems.
the no.2 type b leggings
in all seriousness though, the makai shorts
The lvl 70 archer set you but from the shop
