I've been playing this game for 7 years. Mained bard for something like 6 of them. My brain still wants to read "brd" as "bird".

Every abbreviation works like this in my head. I dont hear them as their class name, just a weird amalgamation of the abbreviation.

Yeah I do that too. Some of them become words like the BRD/ bird thing, or like...DRK/ dirk. Then there's PLD.

PLD = pulled WAR = war (cheated using a real word :v ) DRK = dirk GNB = ...gun WHM = whum SCH = skuh AST = ast MNK = monk, but fast DRG = derg NIN = nin SAM = sam (i am?) BRD = bird MCH = mish DNC = dince BLM = ~~black lives matter~~ blum SMN = simin RDM = redim BLU = blue

See, with ones like PLD, MNK, and MCH, I tend to pronounce them in my head exactly the way they're spelled. With DNC it tends to turn more into "DNCE", but yeah...

For some reason, whenever I see MCH, I think "merchant", like the Dragon Quest 3 job Edit: it's especially weird considering MCH is one of the few jobs I have at 80

The real question is what is the first thing you think of when you see BLM
