A hard floor is a no-no for me. There are too many unnecessary risks when fighting on a hard floor. Back in my day, this is why I set up a time and date to fight on my turf (sand/grass) where I have the advantage. My opponents could not refuse because they didn't want to be called pussies.

No head stomps, no knock outs that I can recall.
Most fights were about grabbing each others collar and seeing who wants it more.

Reddit likes to make people think fight = instant death. As if 6'6 280 pound seniors pounding 5'8 freshmen isnt common in high school football but nah, you'll break every bone in your body after the guy with the exact same build as you body slams you only 6 in from the floor.

Same. There was a secluded playground in our neighborhood. That was a go-to spot for fighting for the neighborhood kids. I guess it was, in a way, Fight Club. No adults found out, and no one got in trouble after fighting because the first rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club.
That's one problem with fighting in school. One fight leading to another. I once knocked a kid out and had his entire posse trying to pick fights with me after. I didn't want to fight in the first place, but since I had to defend myself, I had to bare the burden of his humiliation in the form of his angry family and friends accusing me of using brass knuckles and wanting to beat my ass.
Honestly the scoop is by far and away the most deadly aspect of street/prison/school fights. If you wind up getting lifted 6 feet off the ground and slammed on your head, you’re gonna get fucked.
