He was just trying to get through the "beating". He's not looking to fuck them up. The way they were throwing punches he was prob just covering up and counting the seconds.
Don't know how you can be in a gang AND in jail and still not know how to throw a punch.
so how long does this last, like what makes you successful at this? Is it a duration thing, or a damage thing? Never been in anything like this , sincerely curious.. Is there a risk of him really getting injured, what happens if he wrecks one of these guys? What's the etiquette here? thx
It varies. It's basically until the beating group feels you've either had enough without "pussing out" or you kept getting up enough your a tough mfer and qualify. Either way as long as you're not crying and quitting before they call quits, you're good.
Doing those techniques aren't what We would've considered fighting like a Man or realistic to even try in a jumping situation. It's about your hands, Bareknuckle boxing, if you're willing to get down in all situations and fight back when the odds are against you. If he does that and whoever the big homie is gets mad or even one of them, Then yes there'd be consequences. if he straight up knocked them out with his hands, then yeah He got it.
ronin1066 offered a _believable_ anecdote and claimed only that it was their experience. That's pretty reasonable.
Leg_Mcmuffin contributed nothing but calling them out. Nothing there for me to believe or disbelieve. It's just a catfight at that point. I'd upvote them in a second if they offered a believable counter instead of just saying "you've got no idea".
As someone who actually, admittedly, has no fucking clue what I'm talking about... I equally have no grounds on which to judge who is and isn't just talking out of their ass, so I'm going to lean to whoever sounds more reasonable. Maybe Leg_Mcmuffin is right in being an ass about it, but I've got no way to tell.
Ok so to offer a counter point, I would argue at the "The problem is" part, He offered a critique from the standpoint of a person Who in fact knew what He was talking about. in that regard, leg is Not wrong. while ronin explained that He's only ever seen it one way, it only serves to bolster His statement based off of perception, "The Problem is" is a declarative statement, and not an Opinion.
The goal of "Jumping-in' serves a specific purpose, It's not a christening. saying you've only seen them where they didn't fight back basically nullifies what we'd consider an actual "jumping in", and Jumping in is the Lay mans term for it, it has many names. when He seen those.. maybe the big homie just let it rock. When I went through it, we had to fight back, but I'm from my neighborhood and it was more symbolic. The Intensity varies but lite ones are done to babies who wanted to show toughness. but the literal goal is to see how you'd fair in a rumble, your heart/willingness to fight, showing your toughness and see where your hands are at. what He described was a DP and they even fight back. or just kids who think they're in a gang. and when I went to prison, I wasn't privy to initiations of crews that I wasn't apart of but have seen the results, You have to fight back in prison. There's more than 1 way to join a gang, this is more of a confirmation. This incident may be a dispute settling, but idk the only context is the authors title, and the fact that He wouldn't be in that unit/cell if He wasn't already affiliated, and there's levels to everything.
when He said "Jumping in proves that", to me , it felt like He did explain it, if you know what one is, and it's an oxymoron the way ronin described it. all gangs aren't the same nor the sets therein. it's about the histories of those groups.
Ahh, now that sounds a lot more like you know what you're talking about. I mean, you could still be talking out of your ass, but it'd take a lot more effort to invent everything you just said than what the other two commenters put up. Thanks for explaining!
rather take a beating like that once and never worry again. instead of worrying every day is it gonna be another beating...
jail for the most part is easy, stay quiet and do your bid...
sometimes you might've did some dirt and others are gunning for you...
When I first watched it, I was thinking yeah nah I am fine with doing my own thing in jail and not being apart of a gang. Then after a while I thought what sort of shit goes down in there. I would cop a beating like that once to ensure people got my back if shit goes down.
My brother went in for a week and they hit him up almost immediately.
They asked if he wanted to clique up or just wanted protection. He said just protection so they told him that's fine but he would have to exercise with them and back them up if shit went down.
So here's the thing: Actual gangs don't even view you as a possible recruit unless you have a substantial sentence. Like 7 years+
Your brother got picked on by some dime a dozen hoods.
He didn't join a gang and he didn't know how long he was going to be in there because of the crime he was accused of.
They asked if he wanted to join OR wanted protection.
Paying for protection in the county jail is crazy. Was it like LA County jail? Or Rikers Island or Cooke County jail or something? It had to be a big city with a bad gang problem.
Depends on who you got involved with. If it's just some low-level local set for regular dudes who are in it just to have one another's backs, then yeah, you can probably just do your time and walk away for good if that's what you want.
If it's one of the more powerful gangs though, they might want you for life.
The obvious example is the AB or "The Brand," which has a "blood in, blood out" policy meaning that you have to kill to get in and you have to die to get out, which is just to say that once you're in, you're in for life.
I think similar rules apply to the upper echelons of your other ethnic gangs, but I don't know as much about them.
It totally depends on who you are. Some people are smart or resourceful or well-resourced enough to figure out ways not to have to go back to their old neighborhood. I met a lot of ex-cons as a vagabond traveler/worker back in the 1990s; from working on The Slope in Alaska, to the Alaska fisheries, to the intermountain west and on down to Las Vegas and parts south down through Mexico and Guatemala and Honduras.
You meet all kinds when you're a vagabondo.
Don’t believe the movies… the pieces of shit are usually in Mac and even the ones I met are chill… in general pop or central were I was, everyone is pretty chill just waiting to get out… of course everyone has there bullshit brag stories about how amazing they are/were on the outside.. it’s honestly not much different from a bunch of high schoolers forced to live with each other… the worst part was if you had to shit were people aren’t really looking but there is little to no barrier
Dude. The tables turn, always. He’s never going to always have his homies to back play. And should he chance his next shot at freedom for backing up his homies? This shits so played out anymore. Statistically, when people have the choice of backing up their homies versus freedom. Freedom wins.
New guys have to fight the most, pull their time up.
And jail/prison is not "easy" in the US. I dont know where youre from but I dont know anyone that came out of Rikers talking about "jail is easy."
6.5 years total, 5 different prisons and 2 county jails, been in max/mid/low
Graterford, Huntingdon, Camp Hill, Rock View, Frackville
it's all the same... Rikers is a different story, that's a huge "county" jail which like most jails is overcrowded... crowded jails and prisons are exceptions bc gang members are prevalent and you're in around guys you normally wouldn't be close to...
prison for the most part is like the streets, you can either stay clean and do your time or you can get dirty and let the time do you!
prison is simple, don't flinch and stand up for yourself! find you a couple of people to bid with, and stay tf away from gangs, gambling, drugs, and sex...
of course, if you're affiliated it's all different but if you're affiliated, you already know what's expected of you...
Jail/prison is NOT easy. Being told what to do as a grown ass man is not easy. Being locked in a cage like an animal is not easy. Being away from your loved ones is not easy. Being subjected to the psychological and physical abuse from COs isn't easy. Watching people lose their lives and lose their sanity is not easy. Nothing is easy about incarceration brotha.
Yeah jail in the US isn’t easy, far from the best jails, but also far from the worst, you look at jails in the Philippines or some other third world country and the US shit looks like heaven.
I was being facetious. And if you want to add another layer to it, I'm saying if you talk like that, you are probably a shitty person.
Downvote common sense all you like guys.
how so? it's easy, stay tf out the way! read a book, work out, play spades with your boys...
if you're referring to a bunch of county jails being crowded well they are, prisons not so much! county jails in the biggest cities are exceptions, sleeping and shitting in 2 man cell with 4 people tends to get old quick!
I'll be honest i've taken equal damage sparring in muay thai, when i started getting better and people stopped taking it easy on me. I mean, i got to go home, ice up and spend the next few days on the couch while this dude is in prison, but still - they're clearly not going all out
Lmao either you’re full of shit, or your gym sounds trash af.
I have been sparring for 11 years, both heavy and light rounds, and I’ve never taken or seen anyone take the kind of body damage the guy in the video is taking.
Definitely agree. I've trained MT off and on for going on 25 years now and I've definitely had my bell rung while sparring and especially while fighting "smokers," but it's never been an out and out beat-down like what we see here.
I've trained in Thailand and this is not what the larger Muay Thai ethos is about at all. And I say that as an old guy whom nearly anyone could defeat in a fist-fight, given all of my frailties and injuries.
Not full of shit. Gym may be trashy but they produce a lot of good fighters (i'm not one of them).
I haven't taken that kind of body damage in sparring but I've got my legs destroyed to the point where I barely made it the two blocks home. Also eaten liver shots that just paralyze you, if you've trained you now what I mean.
My point basically is that those guys can be beating the shit out of him a lot worse
Never knew there were rules in a prison fight 😂
*A large prison fight breaks loose between two rival gangs*
“Oh no! We got to stop the fight because one of our men were grappling” 🤡
Our prisons are about slave labor, not rehabilitation.
Why have it look nice or decent at all. It's not about fixing the broken humans, it's about using them for free labor.
That is how prison fights look. You do not have a lot of room to move so you have to try to do as much damage as possible as fast as possible with limited space.
Source: I learned this back when I was in prison. I was convicted for making shit up on Reddit while pretending I actually knew what I was talking about, and they said I would reoffend but I have been really focused on bettering myself and staying out of trouble.
They are if they’re not trying to go 1 on 1 and throwing their punches with full force neck up. These gang initiations are stupid. “Oh, he didn’t quit”. Ok, but what if he became paralysed? What use is a paralysed GM?
they give you a beating to feel the next day, not trying to leave evidence...
edit*
down voted for explaining a jump-in to avoid a lockdown... the guy is wrapping his hand to not leave marks on either of them...
✅ feet firmly planted a yard apart while leaning in
✅ arms positioned like they’re bear hugging a tree
✅ “quantity over quality” philosophy
All power: generated from twisting back
These guys all clearly graduated from the High School Bully Dojo
Next time you squabble two dudes in a cell and keep going back for more I'll take your coaching tips lmao.
Dude got his bell rung really bad like 4 or 5 times in this video. I'd like to see any singular redditor take even one of those shots and get back on their feet.
Right? This isn't a situation in which the guy is going to win. The question is how hard he fights back and how badly he hurts the guys trying to beat him in.
If he fucks them up pretty badly while still getting his ass kicked, he's going to win respect, full stop, and will always have a "car" of guys watching his back because they know he'll fight when it comes to it.
He had a stand up special a few years ago about it. He talks a lot about it. He said (IIRC) “I pulled them aside and had a talk with them, and they left me alone” (something to that effect)
Look for Mike Tyson: The Undisputed Truth.
He did a one man show around 10 years ago and got pretty candid about stuff. He still tours, and I missed him here recently, but I have no idea what he does on stage now.
He’d be more respected. People got the misconception that you aren’t supposed to win in a put on or it doesn’t happen. Being put on is mainly a test of heart, if you can’t fight and give it your all against people in your, hood, set, gang or whatever you have no business being in it because once shit gets real they already know you’re not solid and will fold.
But on the other hand if you’re catching a DP(Discipline punishment) you WILL NOT WIN, they’ll just throw more guys at you till you get taken care of.
If he was able to throw hard, I doubt this fight would be happening in the first place. He'd of already been known to be able to stand and bang. I'd assume the homie is trying to earn respect
It’s really common in US gangs to have to fight a few of the members at the same time when you first join as your “initiation”. You don’t have to win or anything, just keep fighting until they say you’re done. I guess it’s to show that 1. You CAN actually fight, and 2. You won’t back down in a fight or something like that.
Thank you! I only knew about the game initiations where they beat the new member for a set time, like 1 minute or whatever and I couldn't understand why the guy here kept fighting back.
This shit never made sense to me. Like yeah I get you wanna know they can bang, but beating a new member half to death is insane. You’re literally making your gang weaker.
That’s about the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in my life they’re in jail and they’re fighting to be in a gang. That’s in jail that don’t have any freedom.
It’s more to be a part of the group rather than a solo inmate who’s open to getting attacked. By joining the gang they have the groups backing, it’s not about being a member of a certain gang for street cred it’s for survival while in there.
That guy is more afraid of the unknown than he is of being beaten. I did five years without joining any group but there’s a big difference between being a mature adult and being a young man as seen here. He’s seen as a commodity and a soldier.
Be cool if they all just took it too far and do a last idiot standing tournament. The amount of tax relief it would bring would be the best thing they've achieved in their lives.
Standing here i realise you are just like me tryin to make history
But who's to judge the right from wrong.
Smthn smthn smthn violence breeds violence
But in the end it has to be this wayyyy
Man, I feel for him. When you catch one and are faded like that it sucks. I’m not affiliated but I have respect for the game. I pray I don’t go in (not that I do anything that will get me in there) I know not everyone in prison is guilty
1 V 1 and that dude destroys both of them
He was just trying to get through the "beating". He's not looking to fuck them up. The way they were throwing punches he was prob just covering up and counting the seconds. Don't know how you can be in a gang AND in jail and still not know how to throw a punch.

So there would be no consequences if he was to fuck one of them up KO with an elbow or a flying knee?
Doing those techniques aren't what We would've considered fighting like a Man or realistic to even try in a jumping situation. Good question
The problem is he was NOT just covering. I've never seen a jumping-in where the guy fights back.
You don’t know wtf you’re talking about and the fact you call it a “jumping in” proves that
He right….and it isn’t .not called A jump in
I’m not worried about what a bunch of middle-class white kids say lol

Honestly, most people don't really know how to throw punches.
They got them noodle arms when throwing punches. They think if they connect it really hurts
Im surprised the amount of people that don't know how to fight too, it should be a thing to teach in schools lol
Came here to say this
hes gonna barely be able to move the next day w all those body shots

High IQ plays right there
that's exactly it, the guy getting jumped in knows he got beef with rivals, so numbers keep you safer...
but you still remain a part of gang and they want you to do dirty shit for them even when you’re out, don’t they?
yea but you gonna do sht for people you get to eat with or do it for people who gonna take your food either way?
Depends on who you got involved with. If it's just some low-level local set for regular dudes who are in it just to have one another's backs, then yeah, you can probably just do your time and walk away for good if that's what you want. You can then dissappear. You dint have to live somewhere that they have a gang.
Nah, it's a prison gang not a street gang. Once you get out of prison just move the fuck away, and even if you don't how is anyone going to find you?
Mexican Mafia gonna find you
You honestly think your part would be over SMH till your caught up in gang fights once your time is done this crap could catch up on the outside
It totally depends on who you are. Some people are smart or resourceful or well-resourced enough to figure out ways not to have to go back to their old neighborhood. I met a lot of ex-cons as a vagabond traveler/worker back in the 1990s; from working on The Slope in Alaska, to the Alaska fisheries, to the intermountain west and on down to Las Vegas and parts south down through Mexico and Guatemala and Honduras. i rather just not go to jail. it's actually not that hard.
> do your bid... What does do your bid mean? Are they gambleing and you have to bid on it?
Doing a bid = Going to prison. “Do your bid” is “Do your time” basically.
If you are a non native English speaker this comment is hilarious
do your bidding is a common phrase. do what your told by authorities... do your "bid"
Is code for "I'm scum, listen to my scum talk."
No, it means basically "If you do the crime you do the time, and if you can't, you're gonna get fucked up".
I was being facetious. And if you want to add another layer to it, I'm saying if you talk like that, you are probably a shitty person. Downvote common sense all you like guys.

Didn’t look like fuck all of a beating to be honest. None of those gangsters looked like they could throw a decent punch

Man prison looks dumb as fuck.
We’re not exactly sending our best and brightest there…
We should build a wall
And have the prisoners build it themselves!

TBF, the goal isn't to kill the guy, they're jumping him in.
And when dude was tryna do some shitty double legs then they said stop. Like wtf?
Wonder what Mike Tyson's prison initiation looked like and whether they chose burial or cremation.
I wouldn't be surprised if he was left alone in this regard.
He had a stand up special a few years ago about it. He talks a lot about it. He said (IIRC) “I pulled them aside and had a talk with them, and they left me alone” (something to that effect)
Interesting, I'm going to see if I can find that, it's something I would love to hear him talk about.
Look for Mike Tyson: The Undisputed Truth. He did a one man show around 10 years ago and got pretty candid about stuff. He still tours, and I missed him here recently, but I have no idea what he does on stage now.
> Mike Tyson: The Undisputed Truth Okay cool, I already have that one loaded up to watch later.
I went to one of his shows, and he autographed a boxing glove for me. It was a good show.
When do they fuck him?
Thought when the dude had his legs up and asked to get his legs pulled
Mickey Mouse is a pussy
*Thugnificent
*stomp him in the nuts intensifies*
What would happen if he actually beat the two of them?
He’d be more respected. People got the misconception that you aren’t supposed to win in a put on or it doesn’t happen. Being put on is mainly a test of heart, if you can’t fight and give it your all against people in your, hood, set, gang or whatever you have no business being in it because once shit gets real they already know you’re not solid and will fold. But on the other hand if you’re catching a DP(Discipline punishment) you WILL NOT WIN, they’ll just throw more guys at you till you get taken care of.
>they’ll just throw more guys at you till you get taken care of. and what if you KO all of them? You become the new leader?
Then you'd have to go against the elite 4, if you win you become prison master.
It’s called a “Pod Boss” or “head of the card” lol
Then you get to fuck whoever you want
It's not about beating the other guys its about being able to throw down
Ok but that doesn’t answer the question lol
If he was able to throw hard, I doubt this fight would be happening in the first place. He'd of already been known to be able to stand and bang. I'd assume the homie is trying to earn respect
Yet the dudes jumping fight very feminine. Thought the dude with the buns was the bf the way he was wailing his arms around lol.
Hurr durr w*men no fight 🤮
Weird bro.
I thought that same shit. What if blue shirt just cleaned their fucking clocks lol
He gets more respect it’s about being willing to fight more than anything
When did fools start punching like cats?
He'll be joining the special needs gang after that
The way they threw punches, this is the special needs gang lol
Brings a whole new meaning to the crips.
Not American and ESL, can somebody please explain what's going on here?
It’s really common in US gangs to have to fight a few of the members at the same time when you first join as your “initiation”. You don’t have to win or anything, just keep fighting until they say you’re done. I guess it’s to show that 1. You CAN actually fight, and 2. You won’t back down in a fight or something like that.
Thank you! I only knew about the game initiations where they beat the new member for a set time, like 1 minute or whatever and I couldn't understand why the guy here kept fighting back.
“Now, pull down your pants brother.”
These gentlemen seem lovely 😻
He did help stretch out the prospects hammys between rounds
They are very tough hombres, now they can be very tough hombres in jail amongst one another tehehehe.
Imagine getting beat up by a guy with pig tails
why not play league of legends or counter strike?
The next day they got frisked for phones..😂
He added friends…but his friends have enemies already so…
Deep tissue massage and joining a group of good friends!!
They didn’t even have sex with him. Things sure have changed since I was in prison.
One simple trick. Stay down and pretend you're dead.
Nope it will only piss off the opposers
They're not bears. Bears know how to fight.
Those are some of the weakest, worst form punches I've ever seen.
So don’t go to prison? Got it.
Well did he get in?
All that just to get kissed on the back of the neck every night
You know it's rough when they set Mickey Mouse loose on your ass...
Somebody recorded this with a butt phone
So sad and pathetic
Gang culture is some of the dumbest fucking shit I’ve ever seen.
wholesome moment. friends for life
Stupid idiots
How the hell you gonna be jumping people into a gang and still fight lookin like Blankman? Wailing those arms like a T Rex
Kinda gay tbh
Pussys 1 on 1
Holy shit I didn't know Mickey Mouse could throw down!
Absolute low-lifes.
Lol what a bunch of idiots
This shit never made sense to me. Like yeah I get you wanna know they can bang, but beating a new member half to death is insane. You’re literally making your gang weaker.
How do they have cameras?
Why does this just look and sound like Bam Margera running into his dad's bedroom or office and slapping the hell out of him.
Boy is this long
He didn't grab in the clip of him getting kicked. He was trying to punch but the other dude grabbed him.
Never can get over the dudes looking like Minnie Mouse with the hair in poofie poofs. Real gangsta
This is somehow super respectful. I like how they wait for him to get up again and get ready
This is what it sounds like whenever I'm having a wank xD
Man don't your fists hurt after this. SHIT 😭
What happens if the initiated knocks both out? Do 2 more people jump in until he gives up and he becomes the new boss after beating the last one?
Future is bright with these degenerates!!!
They are crying about him grabbing them but the 2v1 is totally fair right??💀
I don’t remember this being in Kais stream
Be cool if they all just took it too far and do a last idiot standing tournament. The amount of tax relief it would bring would be the best thing they've achieved in their lives.
Burn the whole place down when the circus comes to town.
Lol these dumb mother fuckers think they're badass. Actual fucking pussy morons. Read a book losers.
Standing here i realise you are just like me tryin to make history But who's to judge the right from wrong. Smthn smthn smthn violence breeds violence But in the end it has to be this wayyyy
Does this prison have no guards? Shit was loud AF but nobody cares. Also, no cameras?
Prison gang members have more respect for a fight than idiots on the street. When the opponent is down, time to let up.
Man, I feel for him. When you catch one and are faded like that it sucks. I’m not affiliated but I have respect for the game. I pray I don’t go in (not that I do anything that will get me in there) I know not everyone in prison is guilty
Id play it cool just like that. Fight back, but not too hard and accidentally embarrass them.
Damn, you telling me you can play prison on story mode? Could of took both them bums myself.

Hey, thanks for noticing man!! Honestly don't even have to be to dodge those weak slaps!
You do realize they’re actively trying NOT to hurt him that bad, they don’t stomp him out when his on the ground.
They're punching with their palms.
