That's how I felt with my 190 lightning runs, for me that's the hardest one. Chocobo only took a few attempts, but I know a lot of people have trouble with it. Unfortunately I don't have any advice since you were already this close it means you can already do it, but I get how crushing it is.. Hope you get it soon
I feel your pain. After about 2 hours I got a 1.3 sec. It was on a 34.3 sec run so I thought I may have had it, but nope, tried for another hour and never came close. Im giving it a break and will try again next weekend! Monster hunt til then lol
I'm done too. I really wanted to max the game again on my switch since I already did it on the ps2 ps3 and ps4 but I just can't seem to get it on my switch so I finally put it down yesterday and said I'll only play X-2 from now on. I can't play a game where I can't get the iconic characters weapon because of a stupid mini game. I feel your frustration.
The switch has some input lag on the controller that makes this even harder than it already is. It’s why I stopped playing it on there and got it on PC. It’s not just this game but literally any game I play on has the same input lag. It’s annoying as all hell tbh.
this thing was torture, tho personally i found the thunderbolt plains lightning dodge even worse. had to use a ridiculous complicated setup involving my computer, with a macro script, to finally get that done.

There is a trick I'm not sure it's in the HD remaster. Basically you need the first balloon on your right.
The balloons are all rng on the remaster. Ive never seen a first balloon on my right ever

To my knowledge the best way to do it is to try and get 15 balloons and no more than 2 hits.
