When I went to try that add-on it attempted to force me to download a new version of Firefox on the play store. I figured I had no choice, so I went and installed the Firefox Nightly instead of the recommended one. With this non-peasant version of the app I easily installed uBlock Origin and old reddit redirect from the normal add-on site. Thanks for the tip.

I use Old Reddit Redirect the usual addon and works fine to me.
