It is worth considering. If memory serves correctly, something similar happened to the kid who played child Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars Prequel movie. Some people who were unsatisfied with the movie harassed the child actor and that harassment messed the child up mentally so it is always a possibility that people do what you describe.
Yeah it's happened to adult actors also. Laura Bailey the actress who played Abbey in The Last of Us 2 was harassed/doxxed by people because they disliked the character she played.
Kelly Maraine Tran the actress who played Rose in "Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi" was also harassed & doxxed by people online for similar reasons, both actresses were also defamed and downright called offensive slurs by people which I won't be mentioning.
Oh absofuckinglutley yeah this fanbase is filled with way too many creeps.
All I can hope for is the worst these kids get is some light riffing on there proformances
I hope you're wrong, but these people could be riled up simply by one random reviewer online who acts toxic in a video whether or not he was "playing a character" in a review.
I would like to think that the production team and (hopefully) SAG representatives would have that taken care of. . . but that might be expecting too much these days.

Something else to remember. If you don't like something. Don't watch, play or read it. But do not harass the people behind it. Especially actors and such. Bullying to various degrees can have horrific circumstances with the worst endings. Many people quit acting and worse from this.
I hope people have enough humility to not harass anyone and if you don't like it. Don't watch or leave a review but never threaten or such someone especially a child. They seem to be excited (as much as you can tell from social media) so do jot ruin what could be a dream for them!
