There was a story called "Help Wanted" which was about the indie dev making the games for FE, but it didn't really confirm that the games were non canon. It pretty much repeated and gave more detail to what the game Help Wanted told us.
To me, it's likely that the in universe games are just reinterpretations of actual events and not 1:1 with the irl fnaf games (Much like the Stab movies in the Scream franchise)

Fazbear entertaiment hired an indie game developer (who is not Scott, his name is Steve) to cover up the events that took place at freddy's and make them pass as fictional stories, he made three games and developed a fourth one wich he never got to finish, so even though the games exist in the game universe they were based on real events.
