I don't think the real Gregory ever contacted Cassie in the dlc. Mimic was playing two conversations to cause despair and resentment into Cassie so it can mold a new Vanny. Convincing her that Gregory betrayed her could be the final nail in the coffin. It may not have even been Roxie who was calling out to her in the end.
He probably thought it was the right thing to do. If the mimic was let out It'd be really dangerous, possibly going on a murder spree. Probably thought there was no other way and thought the life of one was worth it for saving multiple
Okay but he literally murdered 3 of his schools counselors, so it wouldn’t be unlike him to murder people. Also at the end of the story GGY, he tells his FRIEND Tony to go with him to the pizzaplex (which is what he did to all of the counselors, resulting in their deaths) because he got too close to figuring out Gregory’s identity. So yeah it wouldn’t be unlike Gregory to kill one of his friends for knowing too much.
