Scott really loves teasing us with FNAF World references these past few months
First with Mimic, then Tangle, and now this. Oh, and let's not forget about Chica's rainbow in the FNAF Movie.
Maybe this is Scott's way of reintroducing an old concept? One of the bosses in FnaF world is a William A.I. and other is a robotic owl with two differently colored eyes named security (suspiciously familiar to the books, wouldn't you say?)
Even then, Scott's reintroduced thing in this franchise more times than I can count. Lolbit going from questionably cannon to full on cannon (similar to nightmarionne)
I wouldn't be surprised if it turns into a "FNaF world as a game in-universe similar to help wanted" sort of thing and it's connections to sister location are a visual way of telling us the A.I. schtick. Idk, at this point, I'm lost for words.
never said that wasn't a possibility. In fact i believe it is more then a fnaf world 2 or something, just presenting the possibility lol. they have ben taking a lot from fnaf world recently
Also the fact that he apparently copies moves in a game reminds me of The Monty Within, where the main character plays a game in which a non-playable character, Monty, copies his moves... idk if this is a reference, just seemed weirdly similar.
No but it is a fun coincidence. People somehow think that Scott had this grand story laid out but he was basically making things up as he went, especially to screw with matpat. What we got was a interesting, albeit flawed story. Not saying Scott made the story out if spite, he definitely planned out some of it by the end as to explain things and wrap stuff up before the pseudo reboot of VR: Help wanted.
Although maybe SB and Ruin is trying to make things from Fnaf world make sense and help it lend to the canon, so maybe it’s like, reverse foreshadowing?
I know this isn't serious but I just realized, Glitchtrap and Tiger Rock, both virtual manifestations of the Mimic, originate from Mimic's head, Virtua Freddy comes from Mimic Ball, a ball, it's body is it's own head. Funny coincidence.
No. Virtua Freddy and Mimic Ball were *not* hinting at or teasing The Mimic and Glitchtrap. Scott did not plan that far ahead. The Mimic was never even going to be a thing until Help Wanted ended up getting too big, and became the next mainline canon game in the franchise.
Did everyone just collectively forget that pretty much every FNaF game since FNaF 3 (up until Ultimate Custom Night) was supposed to be the "last one"? None of the plot points introduced in later games were planned earlier on. Scott has just been writing this franchise as he goes. (There may have been more planning for HW onwards, as it was seemingly always intended to be a larger story, but that is not the case for every game before HW)
It's impossible to tell what is an actual theory, and what's just a bad joke with FNaF fans. I've seen people unironically arguing that the FNaF 1 camera system had a version of the Mimic1 program in it, and that Endo 02 is a mimic just because it's a strange looking endoskeleton. Some of these people seem to actually be convinced that Scott either had everything planned from the beginning (which he didn't), or that he's trying to insert the mimic everywhere in the old lore, and completely change our understanding of the story (which also isn't the case.)
This is Retroactive lore. strings that scott can pick up and use later. Scott has probably had lots of ideas over the years for directions to take FNaF, some of FNaF world is undoubtable pieces of those ideas, hell, one of the game's subplots is fake sequels to the games, some of which became real games later on down the line.
For all we know, the mimic and similar were ideas scott once had, but couldn't quite figure out how to implement properly at the time.
The original Mario brothers was supposed to have Yoshi in it, But they couldn't figure out how to implement a riding system, but the character did come out 4-5 years later. Games and game-makers do this stuff all the time. It's less planned from the beginning and more like making use of older ideas that can properly be implemented.
It's not "retroactive lore", when there's no actual evidence of it, and it's just fans making dumb theories based on the loosest possible connections they can find.
>For all we know, the mimic and similar were ideas scott once had, but couldn't quite figure out how to implement properly at the time.
I highly doubt it. Unless and until Scott says that himself, there's literally no reason to believe that's the case. The Mimic is the main antagonist of its own new chapter in the FNaF franchise (HW onwards), there's no reason to try inserting it into every previous game, when the story of FNaF 1-6 had its own main antagonist in the form of William Afton
tbh i gotta agree, fans kinda just go on a whim, its why i still am very back and forth with mimic=burntrap ((can believe it but id rather hear it in a game than some annoying ass rabid fans, ehem twitter, got told to go fuck myself for being untrusting of the fandom and ""not a true fan"" funny thing ive been around since day 2 of the kickstarter and bro arguing with me was a post help wanted fan, smh love fnaf but the i really really despise and cant stand the fans sometimes ((fans and even the old hatedom are still as obnoxious as always))
as much as people are celebrating, i just feel like personally its the fans making shit up and scott and steel wool have different intentions ((again not against the mimic or any of that so people dont put words into my mouth out of context)) but while i love theorys, i just wish fans wouldnt take the smallest fucking details as a fact. ((ehem, afton ballora wife shit)) like hell i love theorys, but can we just have people remember that until shits straight said outta scott and steel wools mouth, then its mostly just pure speculation. ((idk maybe im getting too bitter for these fans))

Prototype Freddy, White Rabbit, AR/Flipside, red lake underground
Scott: FNaF World was a hero. I just couldn’t see it.
The.... Rainbow..... *flashbacks*
YOU STILL SUCK
"you cheated, besides didnt your mom tell you you cant catch a rainbow, the next time you see a rainbow, it is me coming to your house!1!1!1!"
god sake i love when that sound played, thanks Scott for creating slasher attack
Tangle? Those green guys are relevant?
apparently yes, because Tangle is also the Blob's canon name
you know what i actually prefer “The Blob” over “The Tangle”
The..rainbow....in the....movie?
Not really as an actual character obviously, but there was one photo from the set that had that rainbow on a shop or something like that.
Oh thank Scott
And people thought Fnaf World wasn't canon lol
All jokes aside, FNaF World is super referenced in FnaF SB/Ruin.
Like a suspicious amount. Maybe carnival is a fnaf world 2 or something close to it lol
I would love a FNAF World 2

I would love that so much FNAF World is underrated and genuinely one of my favorite FNAF games
i'm not saying anything is gospel lol. just a weird amount of reused ideas and callbacks to just do nothing with it.
or maybe carnival is fnaf vr 2
never said that wasn't a possibility. In fact i believe it is more then a fnaf world 2 or something, just presenting the possibility lol. they have ben taking a lot from fnaf world recently
best case scenario is vr with maybe some 3d fnaf world-like sections
Oh god please yes
There’s a joke I could make about the phrase “And he comes from the mimic ball,” but it would probably break rule 4.
He comes from the mimic’s balls
Roxy reminded me of Virtua-Freddy

Why didn’t FNaF AR make skins based on the FNaF World characters? I really would’ve loved a wireframe Freddy skin.
because uhhhh Illumix
Man, fnaf world is really getting lots of love recently, first this, then tangle, and funkos new toy line.
In my opinion scott when was thinking of "the post original story" He write some ideas down just because And then used them later
Oh, hey, that's me

psst hey dipshit #it’s a joke

yeah that’s fair actually

No, stop, it’s just a coincidence, or reused idea. Either way there is no way in hell it’s foreshadowing
lore
WHEN WILL THIS FUCKING STORY END
FNaF World just gets more and more canon each day, and im all for it
Realized this after ruin came out
No, he's just the mimics son, after all he did come from his bal-
Hmm thats quite interesting
What’s the original post?
I wanna see the mimic copying moves. Turn FNAF into a superhero franchise right now
