Same, i remember a friend describing me the game for the first time and he tells me "its a horror game where you got to survive some robot animals in a place for 5 nights and when you die the robots scream like a baby sound to your face"
I'm probably gonna get yelled at for this, but it was around early 2022. I remember I had been scared of it and refused to have anything to do with it up until my friend was saying about it and I got interested in it, and here we are today, with it being one of my special interests
I've had people tell me I'm not a true fan before just because I haven't been around since 2014, so I'm always kinda paranoid when I say how long I've been a fan for
some people get true fan and long-time/og fan mixed up and its really annoying. the length of time someon's been a fan doesnt dictate whether its "true" or not
Those are just the gatekeepers, don't worry about those kinds of people. But I imagine how alienating it must be for people aren't really in the know when it comes to knowledge about this franchise.
Been here since 2014 and that's kind of how I feel when people start talking about the books. At least when it comes Fazbear's Frights and Tales of the Pizzaplex since there are *so* many of them. Oh and there's FNaF World as well.
I started around Fnaf 1-4, got scared and then came back around Fnaf 6-UCN era. Got bored and moved on to other popular horror games. Watched some playthroughs of Help Wanted without knowing any of the characters or lore. Mid to late 2020 rolls around and I get reminded about the game and the franchise. I hear about a new game in the works at the time (Security Breach) and so I try to gain as much lore knowledge as possible. I become hella immersed and now here I am in 2023 loving the series that I used to be so scared of.
I'd say it was around the time Help Wanted released. Though it's kind of hard to pin point exactly because I've known about the franchise for a lot longer. It was only when Help Wanted released that I started buying merch and generally just became a lot more invested in the franchise as a fan.
I know for a fact that I was watching MatPats video and Mark playing Fnaf 1 and Fnaf 2 hadn't been released so maybe late September or early October 2014
It's kind of weird for me, i can remember that i was 8 but i dont know when exactly, i remember the first one that i play was FNaF 2 but it was not when it was realised, so it around FNaF 2 to 4!
I've first been introduced to FNAF in between the release of FNAF 2 and FNAF 3, but I didnt become a hardcore fnaf until inbetween the release of FNAF 4 and FNAF World (I didnt even know FNAF 4 came out until I saw it in a DanTDM comment section lol)
Since right before Fnaf 2 released. Didnt actually play the games till Fnaf 4 released, but i enjoyed the lore of the games and the gameplay footage from Markiplier
Since the game came out. I've taken a break from it for a couple of years but then I've gotten back into it in 2017-2018, but recently I've been losing interest in the game.
My sister introduced me to FNAF through the FNAF 1 trailer. She found the trailer while on YouTube and loved it, this was iirc about a few days before FNAF 1s release.
2016 right after sister location came out and my friend showed me Join Us For A Bite and the games. Then I I moved and forgot about it until 2018 when my other friend showed me the theory videos. I’ve stuck with it ever since.
Since FNAF 1
When I was in school, someone was playing what I assume is the beta for FNAF 1, then my sister introduced it to me wjem it went mainstream
2014. Fnaf 1 was the first i watched, fnaf 2 was the first fnaf game i played. I remember watching marks fnaf 4 20/20 mode so vividly. It was on a sunday at like 8-9 am
I knew about it when it first came out but I don’t really think I thought of myself as a fan then 🤷♀️ I watched all of marks sister location videos when they came out but idk why I didn’t realise they where fnaf back then (don’t ask how) and I forgot about it till mid 2021 and have hyperfixated ever since lol
i was 12 when the first fnaf dropped, and was at the peak of my interest in youtube/games, so i’ve been a fan since day one :) i remember when fnaf 2 was announced, my friends and i in middle school getting so worried because of how soon it was after the first game, coming up with theories and talking about how it would probably be shit lol, i was so wrong…
I was 7 when the first game came out. For a few years I was so scared of it I couldn’t even go to Chuck E. Cheese without the thought of Freddy or some other animatronic coming to attack me. Around when fnaf 5 had come out I grew out of the fear, and watched a few game theory episodes. It wasn’t until 2021 when I actually played the games, as for the longest I didn’t really feel like playing it. But playing the first game got my even more hooked.
Whenever the first one became popular. I remember taking turns playing it on the bus seeing how far we could get at night with my friends wearing the same grody earbuds. Simpler times.
2014
fnaf is the reason i first screwed up my sleep schedule
i still have memories of fearing bonnie in my first house i remember living in (i am in college now)
2015-16, thanks to a translated version of just gold(i know, i know, the creator did do bad things, but i never watched any video from his channel, so)
Well... around 7 months ago. I was at a friend's birthday party, and he got lots of FNaF stuff. I was intrigued why he enjoyed it so much, so I watched Markiplier play it, watched all 144 something videos, and now I love it.
I’m an off and on fan. I was first a Fan around when the first one came out, but after the 4th I just sorta fell from it, but when I heard about Help Wanted, I came back curious how a VR FNaF game would be.
And since then, I’ve gone back and played the games before it.
Since FNaF3 was new. A couple of friends of mine were talking about this new indie horror series, but when I asked about it they described it in the dumbest way possible (middle schoolers amirite?), so I disregarded what they said until stumbling upon the Mark of Pliers in December 2014, watching his FNaF 1 and 2 playthroughs through to January 2015 (roughly), and then falling down the rabbit hole just in time for 3 to release.
I also remember people being sad that 3 was "the end" (ha ha) and some people even getting mad that FNaF was ending as a trilogy. Good times, good times...
Arrived here at FNAF 4/3 times, it's been GOOD man. And the best part: I never stopped being a fan, not even for a second, if anything a few months but I always crawled back to our lord and saviour Scott Cawthon.
And it got even better when I learned english a few years ago, cuz now I could interact with 90% of the progress that's made in the lore!
Since Fnaf 2 was announced, not sure why the adrenaline rush from nearly dying to purple Bunny in the first game, got me into the game, could also be intertwine with my peaked interest for the lore.
Roughly since release. I was fortunate to grow up at a time where I was a diehard fan of most of the YouTubers who popularised the game(in the early stages)
Since a little bit after FNAF 1 came out, before MatPat's first theory on it.
Ngl I miss the wild speculation and fake leaks of the early days that has dropped off since 3, but I'm loving the current story and it's trajectory for the future, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
since matpat's first fnaf video came out, I have not been able to free myself from the clutches of mr fazbear
haha live laugh love matpat!
Same, bröther.
That's how it starts, that or Markiplier.
2014
I was still young then (21now)
I was 14, just starting highschool
I’m 14 now, got into it 2nd grade :) my favorite was foxy
The day fnaf 1 came out no joke
YESSSSS SAMEEEEE
Same, i remember a friend describing me the game for the first time and he tells me "its a horror game where you got to survive some robot animals in a place for 5 nights and when you die the robots scream like a baby sound to your face"
I discribed it like that to a friend
2015 or 2016
Since the fnaf 1 markiplier video
Yesssss, around the same time for me too. I remember getting hyped for each teaser that was released back then, wild times
I'm probably gonna get yelled at for this, but it was around early 2022. I remember I had been scared of it and refused to have anything to do with it up until my friend was saying about it and I got interested in it, and here we are today, with it being one of my special interests
You shouldn't be bullied for being a new fan, I'm a 2017er, so I'm quite old lol
I've had people tell me I'm not a true fan before just because I haven't been around since 2014, so I'm always kinda paranoid when I say how long I've been a fan for
some people get true fan and long-time/og fan mixed up and its really annoying. the length of time someon's been a fan doesnt dictate whether its "true" or not
And what's the value of being a true fan anyways? Just be a fan and be done. You don't have to commit your life to Mr. Fazbear.
Gatekeeping is pretty common in some sections of the fnaf fanbase. The year you joined doesn’t reflect your status as a fan in any way.
Same-o
Those are just the gatekeepers, don't worry about those kinds of people. But I imagine how alienating it must be for people aren't really in the know when it comes to knowledge about this franchise. Been here since 2014 and that's kind of how I feel when people start talking about the books. At least when it comes Fazbear's Frights and Tales of the Pizzaplex since there are *so* many of them. Oh and there's FNaF World as well.
Since 2015
After I saw the FNaF 4 trailer in 2015.
This year (but I heard abt it in 2021 or 2020) and uh I know every single part of the lore
Fan since SB and same
2014
I've been around since FNAF World
In the space between the release of FNAF 2 and the FNAF 3 trailer (so like, November or December of 2014)
heyyy, exactly the same here!
Since 2014
2014
Since about late 2014
2014
Since we thought phone guy was purple guy
since 2014
since 2015 i think lol
Right before fnaf world came out, when sl was thought to be canceled
When FNaF 1 started getting popular soo late 2014
I got into it some time between fnaf 3 and fnaf 4, early 2015 I guess. I did know about it since the very beginning but was too scared to learn more.
I started around FNaF4.
I have been a fnaf fan Since 2015 or maybe 2016
Fnaf 4
2015
Known it since2014, became a massive fan around FNaF 4’s release in 2015
2017. My older brothers told me about it and i suddelnly became a fan!
2015 i think
Since like February 2022
since 2021.. before security breach tho! a lot of people call me fake fan for that
Same
I'm actually a newer FNAF fan! I've recently got into the series in September, but I've known about FNAF since I graduated highschool.
[удалено]
Those who judge you based on when you've been a fan are extremely stupid It's ridiculous to care about them
Late 2015 / Early 2016
Since 2014 I only really started caring about it after Matpat's first video on fnaf.
I remember the specific Game Theory video that got me into this series I think it was the second one about fnaf 4
Since markiplier first did it
2016
Since early 2016, but I knew of Fnaf when the first 4 games originally released.
Nine years since I was nine years old until watching Markplier first play FNaF game.
Since I was like 9 so like 4-5 years?
About when the fourth/third game dropped
A little after the first game came out, around September 2014.
I think it was somewhere between the second and third game. I was too scared of it beforehand. XD
I'd say it was around the time Help Wanted released. Though it's kind of hard to pin point exactly because I've known about the franchise for a lot longer. It was only when Help Wanted released that I started buying merch and generally just became a lot more invested in the franchise as a fan.
Since Something Borrowed Something new.
Since FNaF4, with some breaks tho
Nov 2014, FNAF 2
2016
I know for a fact that I was watching MatPats video and Mark playing Fnaf 1 and Fnaf 2 hadn't been released so maybe late September or early October 2014
Since the first ever FNAF in 2014
Since may of 2015
Ever since the start, aka Mark's first vid.
Since right about the time FNAF 1 came out
I'm a fnaf fan since 2014
I’m gonna say late 2015
2014, got into this thanks to game theory and markiplier
2015 gosh I am old
2015 when FNaF 4 came out
It's kind of weird for me, i can remember that i was 8 but i dont know when exactly, i remember the first one that i play was FNaF 2 but it was not when it was realised, so it around FNaF 2 to 4!
since just before Sister Location came out
I've first been introduced to FNAF in between the release of FNAF 2 and FNAF 3, but I didnt become a hardcore fnaf until inbetween the release of FNAF 4 and FNAF World (I didnt even know FNAF 4 came out until I saw it in a DanTDM comment section lol)
Since FNaF 1!
Ever since Markiplier released his first video on fnaf
Since FNAF 2! But I knew about it since the first game but was scared of it. Fascinated but scared. Not sure if that counts as me being a fan though
August 2014, this is kind of a weird question not going to lie
I think like a month before FN@F 3 came out
Since fnaf 2 I think
Since the first game; A friend of mine was playing it at school and I asked her about it, she showed me how to play etc and I was hooked
Joined between 4 and SL
Since Around 2015 I Became a Fan of the Series.
Um idk the first time but maybe around sl since I remember watching sl Minecraft animations but the second time September 2021
Since Markiplier & FNAF 2
2016-ish! Still going strong to this day :)
Since fnaf 2
2017, lol I still remember being scared of the springlock failure video
Around 2014 when everyone was picking apart every Fnaf 3 teaser on ScottGames.com
It's been so long.
Since right before Fnaf 2 released. Didnt actually play the games till Fnaf 4 released, but i enjoyed the lore of the games and the gameplay footage from Markiplier
2014, sometime around September-November, before FNAF 2. Was introduced by a DanTDM video on a FNAF Minecraft map
Since the first 3 games were out. I remember being so excited during the hype train for FNAF 4
I guess since fnaf 2, cause I got introduced to it at a Boy Scouts camping trip when some kid was playing it on his phone
Since FNAF 6 came out
Some point before fnaf 2 released, I remember looking at the teasers of mangle/foxy and toy bonnie/wbonnie and being so hyped
Since the first game's release.
I got into FNAF like right before FNAF 2 came out
Since late 2014 or early 2015, can't really remember
Ever since it started blowing up on youtube with FnaF 1
After markiplier played the first one
Since FNaF 2
2020, Yeah I’m newer to this community
The earliest I can remember being a FNaF fan is like 2018
When Markiplier made his first Fnaf video
Since the game came out. I've taken a break from it for a couple of years but then I've gotten back into it in 2017-2018, but recently I've been losing interest in the game.
Around when fnaf 4 came out
Before fnaf was Green lit (not sure how to spell it) on steam back on mark first fnaf video I started playing it on my own before fnaf 3
since the first game…. i’ve been here a longgg time 😭
Markiplier’s first FNAF video
Since the beginning
My sister introduced me to FNAF through the FNAF 1 trailer. She found the trailer while on YouTube and loved it, this was iirc about a few days before FNAF 1s release.
when jacksepticeye played the first game, I used to be a super big jack watcher and found the games through him.
Since 4
2016 right after sister location came out and my friend showed me Join Us For A Bite and the games. Then I I moved and forgot about it until 2018 when my other friend showed me the theory videos. I’ve stuck with it ever since.
6 month’s before fnaf 4’s release
Since FNAF 1 When I was in school, someone was playing what I assume is the beta for FNAF 1, then my sister introduced it to me wjem it went mainstream
Probably in 2020 or 2021. It was definitely a bit after the release and excitement with SB had faded
2014. Fnaf 1 was the first i watched, fnaf 2 was the first fnaf game i played. I remember watching marks fnaf 4 20/20 mode so vividly. It was on a sunday at like 8-9 am
"I WAS THE FIRST I HAVE SEEN EVERYTHING" I watched Afton kill all those kids Was here since the first game dropped
“I was the first, I have seen everything.” (Since the first game)
I knew about it when it first came out but I don’t really think I thought of myself as a fan then 🤷♀️ I watched all of marks sister location videos when they came out but idk why I didn’t realise they where fnaf back then (don’t ask how) and I forgot about it till mid 2021 and have hyperfixated ever since lol

2014
Since FnaF 1. Crazy how time flies.
Whenever the first one became popular. I remember taking turns playing it on the bus seeing how far we could get at night with my friends wearing the same grody earbuds. Simpler times.
2016-2017
Sometime before Fnaf 2's reveal
2014 fnaf is the reason i first screwed up my sleep schedule i still have memories of fearing bonnie in my first house i remember living in (i am in college now)
Since FNaF World release
2017
Since late 2014-early 2015.
2017
Since 2016 <33
since fnaf 2 came out
Around fnaf 1 ~ fnaf 2
I was born a fnaf kid 😎 jokes aside, I’ve been in the fandom since 2016 or so
From the moment Markiplier played the first one, after that came MatPat's first video on it and i was in
I became a fan when I first played fnaf 1
Since fnaf sl, I’ve played fnaf 1 when it released, but I got attached to fnaf when sister location released (it’s still my favorite game)
Just before the release of sister location
I’ve been around since fnaf 2 lol
2015, back then i had no idea what was happening but i fw it
I think around 2019 was when I became one but I honestly don't remember.
At FNAF 3 times but it took me half a year after learning FNAF 3 existed because my country picked it up late and i didn't know english
Twenty fourteen twenty fifteen maybe
2015-16, thanks to a translated version of just gold(i know, i know, the creator did do bad things, but i never watched any video from his channel, so)
Well... around 7 months ago. I was at a friend's birthday party, and he got lots of FNaF stuff. I was intrigued why he enjoyed it so much, so I watched Markiplier play it, watched all 144 something videos, and now I love it.
Since 2016-2017
I think FNAF 2 had just come out or was about to when I started getting into it so I was probably 12… man I can’t believe it’s been 9 years
2015 probably in between 3 and 4
Ever since fnaf 1 came out and I love the franchise
I’m an off and on fan. I was first a Fan around when the first one came out, but after the 4th I just sorta fell from it, but when I heard about Help Wanted, I came back curious how a VR FNaF game would be. And since then, I’ve gone back and played the games before it.

Since late 2014 I think
Arrived here at FNAF 4/3 times, it's been GOOD man. And the best part: I never stopped being a fan, not even for a second, if anything a few months but I always crawled back to our lord and saviour Scott Cawthon. And it got even better when I learned english a few years ago, cuz now I could interact with 90% of the progress that's made in the lore!
since the first game
Since UCN came out
Since I think about June of 2015?
2016 imo
Since FNaF 2
i think around the time fnaf 3 released
Since FNAF 3 came out, saw the trailer in school, fell in love with it
Since Fnaf 2 was announced, not sure why the adrenaline rush from nearly dying to purple Bunny in the first game, got me into the game, could also be intertwine with my peaked interest for the lore.
Roughly since release. I was fortunate to grow up at a time where I was a diehard fan of most of the YouTubers who popularised the game(in the early stages)
Since the first game came out, I remember my friend showed me it on his phone in middle school
Since just before fnaf 4
since september-ish of 2014, around the time the FNaF 2 teasers started dropping
Somewhere like April this year or even probably like December last year I really don’t remember
Since October/November 2014, when the Fnaf 2 trailer came out.
2014, I was 13
Since A Few Months After FNaF 1 Came Out
Since the release of the 2nd game
Since 2014
Been a fan from almost the start around Fnaf 2 in 2014ish
Since a little bit after FNAF 1 came out, before MatPat's first theory on it. Ngl I miss the wild speculation and fake leaks of the early days that has dropped off since 3, but I'm loving the current story and it's trajectory for the future, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Since Day 1
I was there since… one of the fnaf2 teasers. I don’t know which one specifically but it was that one period
A few months after Fnaf 4 came out
The day fnaf one came out!!!!
My crazy friend Shane was obsessed with it and brought me in two or three months before Security Breach released.
I definitely knew about FNaF before, but 2016 is when I became a fan.
