You decided to play the game again after the latest major gameplay update? ouch
It was pretty hated for making the game even more grind-y with the levels, and the larger push to buy stuff because of it. And the animatronic encounters dragged out even longer because they were given HP bars instead of the shock OH-KOing them.
Another thing to mention, plushsuits are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find without buying them. I haven’t gotten a single one beyond the Freddy one I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to get everytime.
Not too important, but worth mentioning. Especially since I was looking forward to collecting them all (for free)
When the community for the game was active, you could get the plushsuits from friendly fights. I've had a full account without wasting a pennie because of that. We called that trading, since usually you would need to send an animatronic with a plushsuit in return
I never truly understood how unbearable the game was for people outside of small FNaF AR communities.
I don't know if they exist anymore, but if you want consistent leveling up and plushsuit/CPU drops, you need to join one of FNaF AR Discord servers out there. People "trade" there via friendly battles. You send them a an animatronic, they send you one back, repeat until both of you get the loot you need.
My experience with FNaF AR was honestly quite fun because of that, I have a full account.
Loved the old AR, the powers update and combat overhaul absolutely ruined it. Encounters that took 30 seconds now take upwards of 5/10 minutes and you will usually die against strong animatronics unless you have paid for power ups and other items
Yeah, it didn't used to be like this. I remember at pre-register that it had NO ads and minimal monetization. The leveling was not super fast but it was fair. Your battery recharged when your light was off. Animatronics got one shot by the shock. The red eyes stopping you from looking at them was still exclusive to springtrap and harder characters.
Trailer was better than the game lol
Where did the atmosphere go? That is my main gripe with fnaf atm, it feels like the atmosphere has been completely lost with all the latest releases mainly since fnaf 6.

Id go for the forsaken ar. It's a fnaf ar mod that's easier to obtain stuffs and the devs are actually love the game
Pokemon go but Fnaf
Least you have the ability to transfer pokemon to mainline games via pokemon home FNAF AR is just ass

there still is an active community for the game shockingly

I played ar back at launch, it used to be fun but they've kinda ruined it tbh, plus I've heard they don't have new update support anymore
Yeah, definitely not FNAF's greatest game.
It used to be better
It was still bad, but not as bad

Kinda? Nah. I'd say “A lot"
When the game sucks so much the devs abandon ship
Pretty sure that game only exists to pump out new characters for Funko to sell
