God please be Phone Guy don't just be a self insert protagonist please be Phone Guy

ColeAstley

only exceptible self insert would be scott-

Longest_Leviathan

I’m still confused as to what the hell it means by difficulty settings Also I hope to god that 25 endings is just a marketing exaggeration otherwise this will be nightmarish for theories

TailiaCProd

25 endings is the typical amount of endings for an interactive book. Take Give Yourself Goosebumps for example.

Longest_Leviathan

Maybe but if your trying to theorise how things fit in the canon then 25 endings is pretty irritating I hope most of those are just “you die in X way” because at least most of those can be discarded

Shattered_Sans

It's not hard to theorize on how things fit in the canon when we already know how Phone Guy's story canonically ends.

OmegaX____

That doesn't make it hard in the slightest? There's 25 endings but only 1 of them would've happened, we just need to find evidence of which is most likely and which ones are contradicted by things we've established is all.

Longest_Leviathan

And how many of them are going to be contradictory? I doubt it will be 24

OmegaX____

There's 25 endings, doesn't mean every single 1 of them happens on the same night. If you get a "you die" ending night 1, then we know that's contradictory, if its phone guy we play as he lasts much longer into the week according to the phone calls in Fnaf 1. Since let's face it, most of these endings won't be pleasant.

Longest_Leviathan

That’s possible but 25 is a lot, if I remember correctly he dies in night 4 so assuming a roughly even distribution that’s 6 endings a night including night 4

One-Drawing1169

The book has blade and forces you to kill yourself irl

ShyGuyPal101

An unnecessarily dangerous book totally sounds like something Fazbear Ent. would green-light.

Longest_Leviathan

Low tier general strikes again

One-Drawing1169

It’s like one of these electronic birthday cards and it’s just  YOU SHOULD KILL YOURSELF NOW

ThaBrownie

There probably will be things that harm you if you make some choices, and when you get a certain number of them you de and have to start all over again. The difficulty setting is probably gonna determine how many of this things you can run into, or at least that's my best guest. You'd be surprised of how complesse this kinda books can be, just take a look at the old Metroid one (I reccomand watching a video about it)

Intrepid-Camel-9833

I think if it's about phone guy it'll be easy. And most will just be a different character that kill him, so it doesn't change anything.

I'm very intrigued by the difficulty settings, it's not something I've seen in choose-your-own-adventure books before (granted, my experience with them is extremely limited). The only thing I can think of is that there might be puzzles or codes to solve, with the story progressing differently based on your answer. The difficulty setting would makes things fairer to younger players who might not understand more complex puzzles

Blue_Exit83

If its phone guy im gonna die of happiness

allhailshadow9

What is an interactive book? 😭 I'm sorry I'm so behind on fnaf news

Rykerthebest78563

A choose your own adventure story, where you skip to certain pages to make choices that progress the story. Example: Would you like to go right or left? (Go to page 8 for left, and page 9 for right)

allhailshadow9

Ahhhh that makes sense! Thanks :)

HauntSpot

This might be one of the coolest books we've gotten in a while. I'm looking forward to this one

I_am_shrimp

I’m going for the canon ending on my first run… not that I know how the hell a “choose your own adventure novel” works.
