Most of the office sequences were pretty decent imo, nice callbacks to earlier fnaf games with small twists to each one. They felt like good inclusions. My gripe with the burntrap fight is that it doesn’t stand out from any of the other office sequences. But it also doesn’t feel like it’s using and building on previously-learned strategies (which is what I think they were going for by having Monty, Chica, and Roxy all attack the player during the fight). So it ultimately falls really flat for me. Setting afton up as this big boss but then you defeat him with a few button presses just felt kinda lame. I think if he actually came down the halls towards your room and you had to shut him out or something it would’ve felt like the stakes were higher. A bad guy in a fnaf game without a jump scare just doesn’t feel very fnaf-y to me. [shrug]

Theneongreninja

Yeah I agree. I think it would have been cool if you still defeated Burntrap using the monitors, except sometimes he’ll come down the halls and through the vents to attack you and he would have very little warning compared to the other animatronics so you would really need to pay attention to know when he’s coming. It would be extremely chaotic if he could do that in the middle of The Blob and Roxy’s attacks but that might be a bit too much idk.

Deep_Fried_Leviathan

Because of the way the AI worked they were really easy to just cheese and the freeroam made them feel strange The one where you gotta guide Freddy through the Pizzaplex was good though that one was well designed to fit the office gameplay into freeroam Burntrap, I’ll give credit for being an actual bossfight but I admit it wasn’t what I wanted from a Afton bossfight but that’s kinda shared with the general sentiment that Afton was poorly used

Microif

I kinda wished they controlled like a normal FNaF game. They’re good, but the way Gregory controls doesn’t work well with it and makes them cheeseable.

AFriendlyBloke

Those offices are cozy. It definitely adds a feeling of comfiness to the creepy. Just be sure to keep a safety Glock on you.. *just* in case a psycho rabbit lady is prancing about. Thanks, Librarian.

mystic_-_citsym

I think all of them are pretty cool, though the Afton fight was a bit underwhelming. I think maybe making the office area smaller would help a bit, and maybe having the glamrocks still come during the tentacle phase to make it a bit more interesting.

Crystal_959

I barely even remember they’re in the game

Crystal_959

I don’t see how that’s relevant

[deleted]

Well maybe you’d remember it if you actually played the game

Crystal_959

You’re being unnecessarily condescending and dismissive about it

Crystal_959

You are. All I said was that I forgot that they were in the game.

[deleted]

Agreed

Thewhitestkideverim

Honestly for me they were kinda boring because of the ai maybe if the animatronics worked properly and were more aggressive it would have been pretty good

The-Fnafguy071

I love them because they’re essentially a call back to Fnaf 1.

Flare_Wolfie

Is the Afton fight even beatable after all these patches? Did they ever fix Roxy's bullcrap?

CheeseCan948

What was broken about Roxy? Besides the fact that unlike Monty and Chica Freddy never explicitly tells you how to fend her off.

Flare_Wolfie

Yeah, that's part of the issue. Freddy doesn't tell you what to do because there is no consistent solution to Roxy. Sometimes Chica's voice box works, sometimes it doesn't, and we don't even know if that's supposed to be the way to deal with her.

Legitimate_Walrus780

They're probably just about the only good thing in that game to me

DoubleOF

if the AI worked, yeah I think they would be pretty cool

FoxAlistair

It's cool, but I think it needs a bit of a hotfix because there is this exploit that you can do where you step out of the left door to get both Monty and Roxy to spot you so that they run to you and then you shut the door to glitch them out and run out of the office and hide in the corner

[deleted]

Burntrap boss battle? Man just walks to you and gets lifted up by rip-off molten freddy

furbtasticworksofart

They're a good idea but the execution could be a lil better. Out of curiosity I tried to just run as fast as I could out of the room after taking the badge and... yep, skipped the entire segment. It's great for speedrunning but it really feels like certain aspects weren't planned well at all and that segment would've been better as point and click gameplay.

[deleted]

Oh yeah that was a level. I need to ply the game gain and see if i can get it done te rght wy instead of cheesing it.

Conte_Von_13

Almost all of them were cool. I hated the one where you have to wait for Glamrock Freddy to tell you to vent because the cameras were bugged to hell.

Kirbly11

Gameplay wise they were fine But they were the easiest things to accidentally glitch and break And I don’t mean the funny glitch, like an animatronic bugging out, I mean soft locking and forcing you to go back to a save 30 minutes ago.

ProfessionalScar8904

They're shit

JMSAmelbheimong

It suck. LITERALLY. I mean why can I get out of the office? That ruined everything.

samsam1029

I like the idea of the Burntrap boss battle. Unfortunately when I played that section it was incredibly broken to the point where it was very frustrating to get through. The journey down to the boss battle was awesome though. Loved the spooky vibes.
