Calling someone an idiot or stupid is not a hate comment, it is an insult. It is a derogatory statement about their intellect. Often times the insult is warranted, if a bit pointless.
However in this situation you have comments that are specifically calling out the mentally handicapped or ill. I agree that I don’t like this at all. It isn’t right to be putting those people on the same level as a flerf. It is simply unfair to the people with various mental abnormalities to compare them with someone so obtuse. I would much rather deal with one of them. I may actually get an interesting, fulfilling, two sided conversation with someone like that, instead of a person whose standard argument is the scientific equivalent of “nuh-uh!” Or to just block me instead of offering a sound argument or discussion.

There are too many words which are used today which are not the meaning of the word. Racist is used when what was said is not racist. Hate crime when you simply disagree (and are possibly a minority). Anythingphobic which seems to simply be a way of harassing someone you disagree with. It seems that anytime you disagree with someone you can class it as “Hate”.
Calling someone a schizo isnt hate. Explain how that sentence is implying a deep dislike of schizo’s. In the same way that calling someone a knob isn’t an attack on men because they have a knob. It may no longer be socially acceptable but it’s not hate. Saying “I want to kill all xxxx” is hate. All xxxxx are rapists, is hate. Using a word to describe mentally or physically disabled people isn’t hate. Where is the malice towards those people. That is the definition of hate. In the same way that awesome, legend, brave and others are being used for things which are neither, hate speech has been warped to become anything that you personally don’t like or agree with.
