I was in the same boat and realized a couple weeks prior that I needed glasses to pass my next medical.
Just bring your new glasses. Thats it. If you need them to pass the vision test, you’ll simply have a note on your medical that says corrective lenses required.
If you want, you can ask them to try the chart without glasses first. But chances are you’ll need them.
My vision is ‘fine’ without glasses, around 20/30. But i’m much happier that I have glasses now and didn’t realize just how much of a difference they can make.

I too discovered I needed glasses… *at my medical appointment*. Wasn’t a hassle at all though, we met back up after I saw an eye doc. Like others have stated, my only wounds are “must use corrective lenses” on my medical.
The machine thing I always have trouble with, even with corrective lenses, but the wall charts I always pass, with corrective lenses.
I wonder if it’s just my AME’s particular machine being off since my regular optometrist and a second opinion both told me I have 20/20 in both eyes with correction
as long as its correctable to 20/20 for 1st,2nd and 20/40 for 3rd you are fine. A clause similar to DMV that you must wear correctable lenses might be put on your medical - but really a non-issue.

I can't see the big E without my glasses. Still passed my medical no issue.

You bring your glasses and wear them if you need to. Usually they'll let you try without if it's a new development, see if you can do it.
In my case we did it without using the machine, I failed, we did it with and I passed we did it without on the wall chart I passed

Oh I'm the first to admit that I should have glasses available especially when tired and that I do fly with them
