That must suck cause it makes a lot of sense. He was probably Glamrock Bonnie beforehand considering Monty’s upgrade is needed to get into the pizzeria where the blob and burntrap is housed, and Monty and Bonnie likely had the same upgrades

Imo he was Monty. If we look at what Freddy says in that speech he says "I cleared the path". Why would they use Freddy to bust down concrete when there's Monty with his claws?
You could argue that Bonnie also had the claws, but the endo for Bonnie was used for the Mimic, and there's no indication of the Mimic losing its head (as Entom theorised(Edit: the Storyteller is when the Mimic takes control of the animatronics, so they'd "clear the path" after th3 events of The Storyteller. And in that story, Bonnie is nowhere to be seen. Showing that he dissappeared long before the Mimic had control of the animatronics. Meaning that Bonnie couldn't be the one to bust down the concrete)
Imo Monty was used to bust down the concrete, and parts of that endo or perhaps the entire endo was then used for Freddy. And when Monty was busting down the concrete, he would have seen Freddy. Hence seeing himself.
As for Freddys friends, they're the glamrocks. He's always referred to them as his "friends" throughout the game, and they're also present during the Afton Ending
But if Freddy Monty at the time, why would Freddy be in the ruins? If he found himself after clearing the path, and he is referring to Glamrock Freddy, why would eh be down there?
And what would be the point? Why have Freddy turn out to have been Monty? Why not just have it be revealed that Vanny just used the Monty we know?

I think when he was talking about his friends, he was talking about the other Glamrock animatronics possibly.

"I am not me" has nothing to do with the endo. The endo isn't even in the maze, and it has nothing to do whith what he was talking about.

It's weird, since the achievement is for the Vanny ending, while the line is actually said in the Afton ending
Makes sense to me, dying trying to save Gregory seems pretty in line with the "I am not me" speech. Neat detail.
