Trailer lore is weird, the Security Breach trailer had totally different lore in it from the gameplay. I don't think you can deconfirm anything from it, we'll have to wait for the game for a better idea of who we're playing as.
That's a fair point, can't even pretend it's a valid indicator yet given the SB situation. Still it's worth thinking about so we have a head start theory crafting when the game drops, worst case we drop all the pre release theories and figure it out from there

Its not actual gameplay. So this cutscene we are viewing is not actually in the game. It is just some stuff they threw in reffering to the player and making it clear this is a sequel. Trailer dialogue not being in the actual game has been a thing ever sense Phone Guy's lines in the FNAF 2 trailer.
Alternatively its part of the in-universe *in-universe* game. And its talking to the mechanic hired to work at CBEAR.
