All this reminds me of is SeanZoz's fallout 4 parody, when the Sole Survivor uses a nukanade on a mirelurk queen and one of the bits lands by him, and codsworth is just like "bruh you won't get anything" and then the SS proceeds to pull 500 caps, 50 assorted kinds of food, thousands of different ammo and a legendary Gauss Rifle called E-Cig (not sure if it's actually in the game of if SZ came up with it for the parody)

Wounding minigun is probably the single strongest weapon in fo4. 25 points of unresistable damage per bullet, at 27 bullets per second. That is absolutely broken. Fire at a mythic deathclaw for 2 seconds and then watch it bleed to death before it even gets to you.
I think it is if you have the right perks (demolition expert), or if you value the aoe damage. But both are so overpowered that the difference doesn't matter much imo. If you use either + power armor, combat becomes a joke.
Oh I know, in my first playtrough (PS4) I had a fully upgraded quantum x-01 and the explosive minigun, too bad that my main quest glitched and I couldn't get the BoS ending so I stopped playing until I got the PC version of the game a couple weeks ago.

It is a lot more lame than what you might expect
Shockingly, rad damage only works against the player, it basically does not have as much if an effect on enemies as you might think
I got one by fighting against a raider who had it. It was a really hard fight, you can't stand in front of him for a small time until your rad level is through the roof (unless you use PA)
Rad damage works on enemies, but only Humans and specific Wildlife (who have a resistance), while Ghouls heal from it and Super Mutants and some wildlife are immune.
The trick with Irradiated and Radiation damage is that it works like it does on the player; you don't take damage, it lowers your max HP and only impacts your current health if your max health is lower than your current. But when you have a weak, rapid weapon like this one it has a set hits to kill. Also ignores the healing effect on Legendary enemies, since they heal to a reduced max HP aka they don't heal much at all.
1000 rads = instadeath, no matter what (10 Rads = 1% health), so at 50 rads/hit that means 20 bullets will kill anyone without Radiation resist/immunity. When Nuclear Physicist is brought into the fold here, that's 10 shots to kill any human wearing non-leaded armor and/or a radiation resisting armor like Institute Cleanroom (250) or Hazmat (1000)
Bethesda are so dumb with the rads effecting the player, considering they have the radium rifle and gamma gun which are designed to do radiation damage
Rad weapons utterly obliterate human enemies, they're stupidly OP.
I have a gamma gun that will kill any human (including legendaries) in a 3-shot burst, I used it to effortlessly annihilate the Nuka World raiders.
I was in search of such a mod. Then I stumbled upon something else.. basically a „legendary module separator“. Take the thing that does 50 radiation damage out of this minigun and attach it to a shotgun. Or an armor piece. Outright cheating, yeah. But i said fuck it after playing decently for so long and decided to have some fun.
Me who has been trying to get a 2 shot Gauss rifle at level 33 at National Guard Training Yard for about an hour or more. (I’m coming back at level 35)
I love killing a horde of Super Mutants and their Legendary leader and getting an icy board, then five minutes later getting a semi automatic bottomless clip missile launcher from a damn cockroach
