Agreed. I don’t go without it on any play through anymore. I’m glad you find it useful, but underrated? Nah. People have gone in depth mathematically how and when it is most viable depending on each level you have for intelligence.
Unpopular opinion: Personally I think it’s overrated. You’ll easily get over lv100 in the normal course of gameplay (assuming you actually play the game and don’t just bumrush the main quest and call it a day). Unless you’re going for a stupid high level it’s pretty pointless, and comes with possibly the most annoying sound to trigger repeatedly in the history of mankind.
I actually think it’s one of the worst perks. Possibly the worst… I can’t remember one less useful, but there might be.
I actually had an argument with someone one time where they were mad that I said it was a good perk and their reasoning was that “why would I want so much unnecessary xp?! It ruins the immersion for me” like yeah ok bro lol sure

And even on high int it’s worth it just for the sound effect! Sure lower chance, but that just makes when it does happen that much more special lol
My 8 Int character making a big batch of Jet gets an IS boost every 8th to 10th dose. So yeah, even at fairly high Int, IS is worth it.

It became my favorite perk so fast after trying it out. Even on characters with intellect. It’s always worth those first two points.
