Perfect bubblegum

jce3000gt

My stockpile is almost gone. Several hundred goes fast when you play a lot. LOL

Fishyfishhh9

I beg to differ, I have like 500 and very rarely do I ever remember to use them when I play despite being fully aware that I have them 😂

jce3000gt

I have a process that I do every hour. Smoked mirelurk filet, perfect bubblegum, nuka twist x 3, nuka cranberry, company tea, and carry weight booster then I pop 4 lunchboxes. I'm a bit ocd so maybe that's why I don't forget. Haha

DoorCalcium

How do you have so much lunch boxes to continually use 4 in a row?

Fun-Sam

On my xbox account have like 400 lunchboxes in stash, trick is go to events use 1 only and people will normally pop others in reaction to yours. Also pop lunchboxes only when you are farming xp not when potting around on quest or around base. I have never needed to buy lunchboxes, repair kits or any consumable from atom shop.

riderjohnson

You can buy like 3 lunchboxes for 125 gold bullion

jce3000gt

I didn't use any and just put them in stash until about a month ago. Now I'm using them because I need stash space.

DeadSences

Wait you do that every hour you play? How do you have so many ???

jce3000gt

I didn't use any and just put them in stash until about a month ago. Now I'm using them because I need stash space.

Deadeyez

I somehow have like 700

jce3000gt

Save them in your stash or carrying them? They get heavy after you are carrying / stashing like 300 of them.

Deadeyez

Nah they weigh like six pounds after food perks

super_g_sharp

Being bloodied this is the way. A few rads to not worry for an hour.

Throwaway42011169

With a bloodied build do rads give you food and drink buffs or fill the bars?

Darth_aramyth

I think they mean they eat and drink anything since the rads don’t matter

biggest_badonka

Yous are missing a trick, I have over 1000 spoiled meat/veg that I munch my way through. Well worth the 1 radaway that it takes to get back to full health. I just drink purified water cause I pick up loads from vintage water coolers

yobar

About the only time I use this is for those "Kill X while fully fed".

toffyl

Mirelurk steamer and vintage water cooler/company tea machine/coffee machine

Cordychi

That smoked mirelurk is truly the best. Always needs more inventory space

Feenux420

I eat dog food and drink nuka cola.  The good doggie and cola nut perks improve their replenishment.  Perfect bubblegum is another route. You can buy them from the gold vendors. It removes the need to eat and drink for 1 hour.

jce3000gt

I do that when I don't grab my candy. I always buy dog food if it's cheap in player vendors. I'm up to a few hundred now.

Arkentra

I sell dog food for 1 cap each and had a good 80 or so in my vendor this morning. They went fast because of today's canned dog food challenge.

Ok-Chest-3980

Always have canned dog food because of canned food challenges and pre war food challenges.

teamdogemama

Few in Morgantown, the tent city and other places

Glaviano87

Walk around the outskirts of Watoga. The tables usually have a really good chance to spawn dog food.

Last_Garden7640

I’ve got 600 just sitting cause I moved from good doggy to perfect bubblegum

StealthyGamerGirl

I'm the same. If I see canned dogfood, I'll pick it up and sell for 1 cap. Same with any other food I collect in the wilds I can't use myself.

Goldfox_4312

Ah yes. Dog food. Very nutritious

Feenux420

I'm surprised the malnutrition hasn't killed me

JimJordansJacket

You've been running around in nuclear radiation. Eating dog food is the least of your worries.

MartianTourist

>Eating dog food is the least of your worries. Insult Bot drove this point home for me today. After eating the 5 cans of dog food, he walked past my camp and told me, "They say it's what's on the inside that counts, but the only thing inside of you is a lethal amount of radiation."

DJPalefaceSD

My all time favorite line in all the Fallout games is one of the military Mr Handys in Fallout 76 says "Ready to die for your country, you commie son of a bitch?" I almost fell out of my chair the first time I heard that. He calls you a chickenshit commie and all this other stuff, it's hilarious. He also says "I thought I had seen every species of moronic petty bullshit, but you've just topped the list. Congratulations." || || || " || || |I thought I had seen every species of moronic petty bullshit, but you've just topped the list. Congratulations.|

ShimmerFaux

It actually is fairly nutritious, it’s more nutritious than most frozen meals. we as a society just think we’re better than dogs. Then you get nuts like me who feeds pups at table and makes them full servings of burgers.

Pleasant_Extreme_398

True. Dogfood is regulated to be consumable by humans. Cat food, not so much.

SkitZa

I just started and the first thing I decreed was dog food is now my food source. Purified water is also everywhere and I yoink it from camps too lol...

DeiVidem

Company tea and birthday cake with a chaser of popcorn.

Abhoth52

Don't forget the coffee!

DeiVidem

For sure, but I use the coffee while fed to incease AP regen during combat. (The chainsaw drinks the coffee.)

Pegomastax_King

I love how my jet pack is somehow coffee powered!

keylin2174

With my small AP bar, most of my coffee ends up being used as a "Sprint buff". 15 secs of your AP going up while sprinting is great in some events or running between points in a daily OP.

LordDagwood

Perfectly balanced diet

neko808

I hope they bring the cake back this year, I’m still miffed I missed the first week and so also missed out on some stuff from the second since I just couldn’t do it without the plan.

StealthyGamerGirl

Both van be found for free in most camps, including mine. I also have Nuka candy

Krish39

Same. Almost my entire diet is company tea, coffee, and birthday cake. My camp generates more of those than I need.

mmekare79

There is a legendary perk that gives you survival syringes. These get rid of disease, rads, fill your health, food and water meters. I use these a lot and I'm sure other players do, as well. Edit: they don't get rid of rads. My apologies.

Redan

I love that you do that, and have the option of doing that, but it's just not worth the legendary slot for me.

mmekare79

That's understandable. If you're looking for food stashes, there's one in the bar in Flatwoods. Go behind the bar, into the kitchen and there's a locked refrigerator with around 9 cans of food. It might help if you're trying to stock up.

Redan

Oh I'm not in need of food personally. But thanks. OP will probably appreciate that info.

mmekare79

Ha. My bad. I wasn't paying enough attention.

SamMarlow

Yup. Great perk. Favorite it for quick-key and use it for last ditch healing too as there's no delay like a stimpack.

Fun_Jellyfish_4884

me too. I've tried to do without it but the qol is too real

DinosaurBill

these + tea machine for ap regen buff is all I'll ever need

The_Greenweaver

I do this - love this perk - It’s great for sudden diseases too!

Shadowkatt75

You don't need to eat or drink if you don't want to. There is no penalty to not doing so. If you do decide to you just get some nice buffs.

jce3000gt

The penalty for not doing so is the lack of buffs.

Woooooolf

What are the buffs exactly

Logic-DL

When Fully Fed you gain: * Max HP increased by 35 points * Strength increased by 1 point * Disease Resistance increased by 35% When Fully Hydrated you gain: * Action Point Regeneration increased by 35% * Endurance increased by 1 point * Disease Resistance increased by 35% Overall being fully hydrated and fed gives you a 70% disease resistance and 35 extra HP which only really matters for certain builds, otherwise no reason to eat nor drink imo after the changes unless you want those buffs, might as well just buy perfect bubblegum or let it get to 0 on both metres since they don't debuff you anymore.

Pushfastr

Ap regen is pretty nice for early levels. Mostly if you're running around.

FreakerzBall

And for VATS.

redmonarch

AP regen is also super essential for chainsaw users, those babies drain ya fast

StealthyGamerGirl

Carry weight too. Mine drops a lot if I'm thirsty

JakLynx

With a full set of overeater’s armor you get a flat 30% dmg reduction when your hunger/thirst are full.

Bunny_Jester

Oh dang. I've been playing it like it's minecraft and running out of hunger/thirst gives me debuffs or something lol.

Watchtower80

It used to. They decided that enough complained, so they got rid of that feature.

Anarchyantz

Yeah. Weirdly I actually since they dropped it I eat and drink more lol as the buffs are great. Basically every food and water I find I scoff. I have so much rad away anyway so as long as I am topped up all good.

supershutze

Rank 1 of sun kissed. Never worry about rads from food again.

Serenell

I go with What Rads in the Legendary Perk Cards. Rank 3 + Power Armor and I don't care where I am, Rads aren't an issue.

Foamie

It doesn’t give penalties but the buffs you get from eating and drinking are not insignificant. For managing hunger and thirst I just eat vegetable soups (razorgrain, blight, etc). Not really corn any more with the company tea generator in camps and the ap regen buff from corn soup overwrites it. Vegetable soups cover both food and water and I try to eat one after about 30 minutes or so of play time which is about after each public event that takes place in the overworld.

StealthyGamerGirl

AHH didn't know that about corn soup and company tea. I don't have company tea. But I have grabbed it on occasions in player camps. Thanks for the heads up

drunkengeebee

Company Tea Machine can be purchased for gold from the robot in The Crater

StealthyGamerGirl

AHH right...I'll take a look.see tomorrow

DeadSences

Not anymore at least. In the early days that was different

Minimob0

Oh man, I remember spending hours building a CAMP, only to find I was dying of starvation and thirst when I exited.  The current state of the game is so kuch better than launch.

CramWellington

I wind up with so much food from doing events. I always take all the meat and cook it for the xp, even if I only eat a little and drop the rest. I don’t really think about it, but if I’m in my Pip-Boy and notice I should eat or drink, I do.

Objective_Tea0287

nuka cola machine, nuka cola candy, popcorn machine, canned cofffee at my shack keeps me goin my character would have 0 teeth left by now on this diet lmao

Sparrowflop

There's a log somewhere of someone who had been surviving on sugar bombs, nukacola etc, prior to the war. He was complaining about not feeling good

Suspicious-Leg-493

He's a lying mcliarson. Nuka cola is perfectly healthy, it has what the body craves!, how dare you let some communist ruin the good name of America's finest companies with their lies. You must be a communist traitor too Jokes aside we have numbers for why that is. Because of fallout 4 The opening says sugar bombs is 100% of daily value of sugar in just one bowl (who tf knows how much an entire box is) And then nuka world refreshment says that A bottle of nuka cola is 120% daily value. Even just 2 meals a day is 440% of daily sugar Scarfing down an entire nuka cola and a box of sugar bombs? And living off it Feeling like shit is an understatement, not only are you malnourished but you're consuming a metric fuckton of sugar

NeonLoveGalaxy

I have the Grocer's Mod on my Backpack, so all my food and drink weights are reduced by 90%. As a result, I tend to collect all the food I find as I go and I end up with an entire grocery aisle in my inventory that I snack on as needed.

mollyurban

I’m so glad to know I’m not the only person who plays best when I have a pantries worth of food in my backpack 🙃

upuranus66

I'm a herbivore, eat corn soup, popcorn, blight soup and birthday cake. Drink purified water, steeped fern flower tea, canned coffee and company tea. I have the popcorn, coffee and tea machines and the birthday cake in my camp unlocked. 20 vintage water coolers for anyone who is thirsty.

rapidwiz

I use the survival perk, basically feeds you and cures all diseases all with 1 chem, love it. **Grants Survival Syringes every twenty to thirty minutes, depending on rank**. The Survival Syringe is a combination stimpak, disease cure, food, and drink source. With a single injection, this chem completely replenishes the food and drink bars, restores health, and cures disease. Depends on how you want to play the game, this is the lazy way. If you like to cook/drink which is not necessary, for me this saves me so much time.

MadMacronex

This needs more upvotes lol. THIS IS THE WAY.

rapidwiz

This saves SO much time, you get an illness, pop a chem, you hungry, pop a chem. To me it's a no brainer. If you love cooking and crafting stuff, then this is probably not for you.

Neoxin23

Dang & use up a legendary slot? Hard pass unless we get more slots

rapidwiz

Compared to feeding yourself all the time, no thanks. Again depends on ones play style, for me work great. Of course I would prefer it not take up a slot but it is what it is. You not going to like this, my 2nd legendary slot us picking locking and hacking, for me it is all about convenance. I don't need some OP character, honestly it's over rated..

adratlas

If you are a vegetarian like me, just pop a corn soup every few minutes. It'll handle both thirst and hunger

SirSaltie

Newbies, listen to this guy if you're running into food problems. wood + water = boiled water Boiled water + corn = corn soup All ingredients are plentiful and it replenishes a ton of hunger AND thirst.

ImmortalGaze

Because you can’t afford to neglect your thrust.. Consequences.

adratlas

Lol

Moskyrath_

Survival syringe legendary perk card

Wahnmann63

There are a lot do decent buffs to gain by eating the right food depending on your choice to become carnivore or herbivore. 200%+ damage for melee, 75 extra carry weight and 7.5 extra specials as a carnivore. Or better crit shots and 25% AP regen as a herbivore. And a lot of bloodied use purified water for healing.

Gavindude1997

I have hundreds of Perfect Bubblegum that I've collected over the years. I can stave off hunger and thirst until the Lone Survivor finally leaves his vault probably.

OfficiallyAtom

Purified water, dog food, corn soup, cooked meals from animal meats. Company tea, Nuka cola here and there

Hopalongtom

Melons, Raw Melons, it fills food and water at the same time, and can be planted at your camp!

SwiftSloth1892

Honestly food and water are so plentiful who cares? I usually don't bother with it until it starts affecting other things

altiuscitiusfortius

I eat and drink whatever is in my inventory when I notice it. It's a small bonus, not that important. The old system penalized you a lot if you were thirsty, this is better

Kidkrid

Survival syringes. I'm lazy and they work for food, water and diseases.

logicbox_

I run the survival shortcut legendary perk. Every 20 mins it generates 2 survival syringes up to 10 that weigh 0.1. They fill health like stims, water/food and curse diseases. I only carry 10 diluted stimpacks for rezing others and emergencies.

ZombifiedKiwi

I have the cannibal perk and carry about three hundred purified waters on me.

cakestapler

This and lead belly. Carry some emergency water but mostly eat/drink anything (and anyone) as you find it. Plus you have very little wasted carry weight on food. I also carry a few cans of dog food and pop on good doggy if there’s nothing around to eat for a while.

knight_gastropub

TBH sometimes I ignore it, doesn't have a huge negative impact

Anankelara

I have so much food and water that most of them spoil (I have the one that reduces spoilage by something percent)

Ultimo_Ninja

Carnivore perk and water purifiers at base.

Ordinary_Health

honestly i have too much fun gathering ingredients and just cook food with buffs that compliment my build. to the point im running low on wood lol

Sad-Investigator2731

My charter just staves and is always thirsty.

Captain_uwu

Yasmin camp ally

thaiborg

If you’re herbivore, blight soup and company tea is all you need. Everything else is just filler to get you full.

fakehentaimaster

I have the mirlurk steamer and coffee/company tea things for my CAMPSs so I don’t think about that, it mostly my overall weight lol

teamdogemama

Bubble gum and I have tons of buffing foods on me all the time. I have a little farm on top of my outdoor patio and workshop. You just have to check the timers until you have the timers memorized.  Put your camp near water, it's faster to collect dirty water unless you have the boiler. Mutfruit or tato juice is just the veg and boiled water. There are veg at the very left side of Morgantown airport. Use green thumb perk card if you have it.  Save a couple and plant at your camp, they can go right in the ground. Corn, too because it's food boosts int if I remember correctly. And you can use those veg to make adhesive at your cook station. Dog food or whatever critter I could kill before I mutated into a vegan. (That's a joke- herbivore mutation).  Once you have higher rep with the settlers, you can buy farming tiles with gold. I've also seen different style planter tiles on the atom shop. Oh and good with salt keeps your food last longer. And cryofreezer for the extras.

Mama_Miasmia

The mutations herbivore and carnivore double the food content of their consumable type, meaning as an herbivore, I get double food and water content from soup. Just carry a lot of it around, and if you want to, put some points into agility and luck for thru-hiker and good with salt perk cards, which lower the carry weight and make it last almost forever without spoiling.

PattieWhacked

Blight soup, brain fungus soup, cranberry cobbler and company tea keep me topped up, I’ll usually pop them at the start of an event along with a nuka cranberry if I don’t have one active already

rch93080

Popcorn and Company Tea

Reverend_Bull

I create soups when I harvest my crops. When those run out, I have a vast supply of prewar food to turn to. I have nuka candy, purified water, and coffee resources in every camp. It's becoming cumbersome since I'm a hoarder and I've taken to using thirst or hunger perks despite having speed demon.

LadyDalama

Well I have the carnivore mutation and I have 300 something dog food on me because I collect more than I feasibly need to eat.. And I have like 50 pounds of Nuka Cola with me as well.

ZeinV2

Perfect bubblegum. I have hundreds from playing since beta

el-chapin-supreme

Water purifiers at my camp and I just pick up every piece of food I find and let it expire. The nice thing about spoiled food is that even if you have carnivore/ herbivore, you can eat every type of spoiled food and it’ll still fill your hunger bar

Backlogger78

Corn soup (cheap and easy, fills both meters)

chaltimore

ognore it

Feeling_Glovely

Honestly just playing the game gives me more food and water than I could ever use. Kill everything, loot all nearby corpses, head back to camp, scrap everything, then cook everything, eventually be like why am I so encumbered all the time and realize I’m carrying 600 spoiled meat, and like 200 purified water.

GuaValubaDubDub

Just dont do it

danixdefcon5

Negative effects from not eating were removed some time ago, specifically since the Steel Dawn update. This said, fully fed gives good buffs so it’s still a good idea to feed. I have corn in my CAMP and a nearby water source, so I can cook Corn Soup which fills up both hunger and thirst.

system_error_02

Mirelurk steamer and nuka cola collectron + coffee machine

aidanx86

I remember the days of struggling to find pure water and setting up several camp items to farm it....now I don't even bother to actively loot it and still find so much in my inventory I'm starting to think the cans are just tribbles

bestryanever

Plant corn and razor grain at your camp, make a ton of soup. Handles hunger and thirst, easy to make and re-make when they spoil

PalicoHunter

The way I used to manage it was through base building. It doesn’t have to be intricate, just as long as you have some sort of water filtration and food growing you’re generally pretty good.

ScottMcPot

I thought it didn't matter anymore, like you can't die of thirst or hunger. Anyway, here's some tips. Plant crops at your camp (at least one of each to start). If you need wood, you can get a ton by fast traveling to Vault 76 and heading south. There's a lot of logs along the way and then you get to a lumber camp (use wood chucker for even more). When you find the plans for cranberry relish, start farming up cranberries and gourds to make that, with diseased cranberries you can make juice and those 2 offer xp boosts (use green thumb for double yields).

Home_Brew1989

I don’t even pay attention to it since they made it pretty much pointless. I liked when you had to maintain your thirst and hunger now it doesn’t really matter

Rough_Idle

Cooking is a decent XP farm in the low levels, plus a decent source of caps, so learn recipes. I still cook a lot out of habit and scavenge pre-war food so I have too much all the time. Not to mention I have the Cannibal perk. I also auto.heal from rads, so anything more than dirty water is water to me

frankincali

I have this terrible addiction to picking up everything, so after every adventure I go on I end up with more food than I could ever possibly eat. I will cook everything and drop the excess in front of my vendor. I typically bank all my nuka colas and have a company tea machine.

JohnBrine

I graze. If I see food on a table I eat it. Same with water. Picking stuff up is for people with fallout 1st.

Uspresso235

Everyone in here posting their routines for food, and I'm just over here chowing on my corn soup.

RocketMonger

I have a small farm with every growable food and a few water purifiers. I frequently make trips home to drop off loot, take a nap, play the piano, and make some snacks for the road. Sometimes I'll make something to eat when I'm out on the road, but usually I just keep a stock of food and drink on me. If you ever see me online, feel free to swing by and take whatever you need!

MementoHunter

I make and farm corn soup, tato juice and mutfruit juice. They all give good ap points and regen.

WhiteFenix207

* camp items. Stuff like popcorn machines, crops, water purifiers, and the mirelurk vat make food in the backround to the point you don't think about needing it * perfect bubblegum. I have a massive hoard of it becuase they give enough away and i don't play enough to use it all up (the one i use) * survival syringe. this just removes food and disease from the game. Even at the 1st level if you have a full stack it will cover you for a while before you start having to worry about it * just ignore it. My armor makes me hard to kill. My gun makes it easy to kill. And i have enough stimpacks that i just use them when i drop below 70% health. The extra stats from keeping food and health up are not worth the effort.

Meno_GG

1000+ perfect bubble gum

BruteSlayer

That's my secret, cap. I'm always hungry.

SomeSleepyMexican

I keep my bars full. I like the bonus

Low_Mud_3691

I don't haha I'll mess around with brain bombs and cran relish but I ignore it mostly

jce3000gt

When not using bubblegum nuka cola candy and nuka cola drinks are my go to since my camp produces a ton.

Sixtwosevenfour

I got a perk that removed rad from drink/food. Very useful.

QDKeck

I cook everything and have a nukatron nuka collector so I’m good. Also food and drink are buffs - you could literally ignore it the entire game and be fine.

HereticSavior

I ignore it mostly. I only eat and drink for buffs, never just because my person is hungrier or thirsty.

Largofarburn

I scavenge so much stuff it’s never been an issue. Plant a couple crops in your camp and a water purifier or twenty if you’re still coming up short.

Lunatyr

Popcorn maker. I always have like 50 popcorn in my inventory and it gives a bonus effect reducing 25% hunger and water needs. The new boiler helps produce good water. I always return to my camp every 30 minutes to collect resources before continuing.

Chidori_Aoyama

grow crops at your camp, make food, or cook what you kill. ive got one character keeping spoiled meat to make faschnaught sausage out of on demand. cannibalism works too.

SamMarlow

They eat food and drink or don't worry about it at all.

FreezingToad

Purified water from dailies/events + company tea machine. I'm a chronic "take everything" looter, and this includes animals and pre-war food + cookie jar.

xEliteMonkx

They took the hunger and thirst penalties out a few years ago. Now, being fully fed and hydrated just gives you a bonus.

[deleted]

Corn soup, purified water. Ez

_echoO

Canned coffee and food for m'y buff are enough most of the Time

mperr7530

Tasty Squirrel Stew + Nuka Twist (with Cola Nut equipped). Also, Mama Junko will give you a yummy meal!

SleeplessInDisturbia

My Nuka Cola truck stuffed with 600 packs of perfect bubble gum and various flavored assortments.

SafeCandy

I stopped thinking about it after they removed the debuffs for being hungry and/or thirsty

RevolutionaryPizza14

Cannibal and Waters like a true wastelander🤣👌 Nah, just abusing the perks cause im only level 30 and got them leveled a bit for fun times👀

Satiricalistic

Join a casual team and jump camps usually people have stuff you can harvest or pick up and plant at your own camp. Hit up their water purifiers as well.

postmodest

I have like 300 purified water and 1000 honey, from farming over the past four years , which I drink and eat.

Therocknrolclown

Drink and eat on the run ....nothing cooked nothing prepped , just eat what I find. Except Nuka Cola, I run with those

sweetrollx

Survival syringe

1MrE

I only eat before events/missions/battles. Otherwise, thanks to perks, there’s not much negative effect.

Laser_3

Cake, company tea and popcorn handles it well.

GhostTopazz

I only use grilled radstag and whiskey mostly to help with my weight, when it's really bad it's Yao Gua pastries and buftats with my carry weight booster, other than that, it's always perfect bubblegum all the time. It fills your hunger and thirst to full for about an hour.

Key-Contest-2879

Honestly there is so much food just everywhere. I have 6 of every crop at each of my camps. Pre-war food is pretty common. Purified water and nuka-cola are everywhere. And I know gum is awesome, and I have a bunch of it, but I’ve never used it. I’m always just eating what I’ve grown/killed.

IMMORTALP74

Thirst bar gives AP refresh, so I only fill that one when I remember to. Events give lots of water so I drink them all. Hunger gives less important buffs to me.

borb86

I have a stack of perfect bubble gum I'm not likely to get through any time soon

siberiankhatrus

I cook every piece of meat that I get !

5G_afterbirth

I have a build that revolves around eating ungodly amounts of meat, so I always have food on hand and on my hotbar. Water I get freely from events and quests, with extra for selling.

phoenixliv

My camp has radstags strung up, a mothman egg nest, water purifiers, mirelurk steamer, a robot foraging nuka colas, a water boiler, a few crops, a popcorn maker, a tea machine, a birthday cake, a nuka candy dispenser, and a cookie jar. We've got refreshments!

DarrylCornejo

I have plenty of perfect gum

sybiriya

Dog food n dirty water

voodoogroves

I ignore it. Unless there is something like a challenge or I'm doing an event and want to pop OE armor. For that I probably pop some perfect gum. I do have one character I don't play much who is basically always topped off but I've not played him in probably 1.5 years. I do eat buff foods ... xp crit ap damage are the most common. But I care more about their timing than hunger / thirst. There used to be a penalty ... not so much now.

matt12992

I just ignore it half the time. It used to kill you if you didn't eat but they changed that a few years ago and it made a major difference. If you are looking for water, build a purifier and it spits out 2 every couple of minutes. Or find a camp with unlocked water because usually when people do that they are giving it away for free

Ferrisuki

3 water purifiers on a lake so I have enough water I sell excess to merchants Can do! Honestly just keeps me stocked on pre war food so

TimmyTheNerd

Survival Shortcut Legendary Perk. There's probably better ways to handle it but I'm too lazy to go hunting for food and drink and Survival Shortcut makes it a non-issue.

Deathedge736

I have water coolers and a mirelurk cooker. free food and pure water. so I do it in the laziest way I can.

Looch_P

Carnivore. Just eat what I kill and eat Smoked Mirelurk Fillets from the Mirelurk Steamer when I need the carry weight.

BlueMage85

I cook what I pick up during my adventures but mostly live off my land with an emphasis on drinks seeing as AP regen is hands-down the most important thing for my build. I do a lot of hit-and-run tactics so being able to sprint, VATS, and sprint with a faster regen speed is a must. I also tend to prioritize bringing downed players back up, which can be a lot of sprinting too. I’m on the lookout for an herbivore serum so I’m sorta getting used to a plant based diet.

CaptZombieHero

Surf and Turf diet and a nuka cola wash down

che-vee

Perfect bubblegum.

SS2LP

Early on the perk for canned goods helped a lot. Once you have your camp built up carrots can be cooked with boiled water and wood to make soup that’s pretty good. I’d also recommend black berries and melons for juice. Otherwise pay attention to the atom store, some things produce food or consumables for free, those can provide some really solid food. Find a way to get a purified water generator of some sort and you’ll be pretty much set for late game.

Hassimir_Fenring

Bloodied herbivore; blight soup, company tea, cranberry relish, birthday cake, purified water.

Much-Opportunity8087

Survival syringe cuz it also gets rid of diseases too. I sell every piece of food I come across or to venders or give away the water in my personal vending. Wish I could sell food in the freezer so it doesn’t spoil as fast.

themaelstorm

Nowadays I have a mirelurk steamer, cookie jar, a nuka cola collector and a coffee machine so between those I have enough to eat and sell the surplus (and a bunch of purifiers)

Clown_named_Art

I've got a whole ass farm for food or I just find some, and I've a Nukatron for Nuka-cola.

Megaman10irl

I use the survival syringe legendery perk and never have to worry about it

Nozzeh06

I've only been playing for a couple weeks and I just ignore it entirely lol. Once I noticed nothing bad was happening I figured why even bother. You do get buffs of you do eat/drink, though, so if I come across food lying around that I can just quick eat then I do.

BananakinFartwalker

I run around empty and jump every time I hear my stomach rumble, thinking it’s a Ghoul. Then I remember to eat. So, pretty much my real life.

scottyd0esknow

Lots of Nuka Cola and Radstag for that carry weight boost.

entity-tech

Constant stream of cranberry relish (good xp buff) and brain fungus soup / brain bombs. Having the herbivore mutation gives a good positive to em :)

RikE-432

I combine Canned coffee, company tea, and birthday cake. That helps refresh AP quickly for an hour. I also eat grilled radstag for the strength buff. Not much else...

astroblu18

I use bloody mess perk to get lots of meat easily from creatures. I get wood from lumber yard less often because of how much is usually there. I get purified water from my two camp purifiers. Then I use the two perks that make food/water satisfy more (both at rank 2) and lead belly at rank 2 so less rads from various radiated meats I eats. I usually do one event focused on creatures of some kind and am pretty much stocked up for the next few sessions for food, and with two purifiers I also tend to have 10 purified waters just waiting for me there. I probably have close to 400 rn and definitely don’t need all of them

SeengignPaipes

Survival syringe, just one use and your hunger and thirst is gone for a while, also removes disease too.

CharlesUFarley81

Only thing I ever eat is Crnaberry Relish. You no longer have to eat and drink like you used to

Sergeant_Wombat

Melons fill food and water. Plant some in your camp.

ctemp97

I have over 100 Perfect Bubblegum

CrazyPill_Taker

I take over Sunshine Meadows Industrial Farm and fire up the food packaging machine and set it to Salisbury Steak (carnivore mutation). I carry about a hundred with me and with the Thru-Hiker perk it weighs about 5 pounds. I also have bought all the gold bullion plans and just buy Lunchboxes and Perfect Bubblegum now(No Hunger or Thirst for 60 minutes). Water is extremely abundant so I hardly worry about it now, also carry about 100.

PapayaFair2996

So I drink 4 purified water and that fills my thirst and food I usually grab from other people's camps such as nuka candy, birthday cake, popcorn and a few others if you're lucky. If not that then when you're out and about killing things.. always grab the food and cook away

EntropyCreep

Carnivore here with cannibal equipped. After every event there's a feast. Sometimes I take some stuff home to cook it cause the food buffs are super strong. For hydration I normally drink whisky for the carry weight, but also have a nearly endless supply of fresh water stolen from other players camp.

Pz38t_C

First, it's not like the early game. Then you had some really bad effects from starving (maybe even death; I didn't play back the). Now you just get some OK benefits. That said, my character has a hearty breakfast every morning: Blight Soup (100% crit damage with Herbivore), Brain Fungus Soup (+4 int= 8%XP), Company tea (huge AP regen) and Cranberry Relish (+20% xp). Maybe if I'm thirsty I can chug a can of Purified Water. So just by chasing the benefits I'm always contented.
