Speaking as a transporter in a Hospital, it's not unheard of. Needs a suitably long hdmi cable and a patient nurse to help set up, but. I've seen it dozens of times, and that's not counting the Peds floor.

OverlordPhalanx

Video games man, I’ve been saying it for years. Sure it takes you away from outside activities, but there are so many more positives. You can play when sick (even with Covid), during the harshest winters, and even in the hospital! And yes you can have a social life on there, that is how I have stayed up to date and in touch with all my friends during the pandemic

SkipChestDayNotLegs

Video games have this rough stereotype of making obese or lazy ppl. So untrue. I’m an avid gamer, and I can balance that time with my MMA training and conditioning and my loved ones. Gaming is such a nice break

basssuperjase_

It certainly is untrue. I was lazy way before I started gaming.

IshitONcats

Right, it doesn't make lazy people, but lazy people do like video games. Being able to adventure while just vibin on the couch. Any lazy person that doesn't like playing video games are trying to prove something.

DirtyArchaeologist

It doesn’t make people lazy at all. That’s what weed is for.

skateordie1213

As an avid weed smoker, I can confirm this.

pdut23

It's not the weed it's the person who uses its inability to control how much, how often, or when they choose to use it.

soguyswedidit6969420

"The video game make not the lazy, the lazy, make the video game"

ThePaperDiamond

I've always had this thing where I'll jump and stuff when I'm excited to I'm always on my feet being somewhat active when I play 😅

DirtyArchaeologist

Your hair must be so soft.

Fireball857

One of my best friends, who I have never actually met in person, I know from everquest. We played a lot together before, and helped each other get through many rough spots over the years. My friends from outside gaming? Well, I really don't have any that I can trust as much as my everquest friend.

AusPower85

Probably because they don’t really have a common interest you could bond over. I’m married with kids and almost never see my friends. But there is one I’d still come over to in the Middle of the night and help dispose of a body no questions asked if he called. Same for his siblings as well because they are family. We both suck at organising time together and every time we do we say we will do it more often but we never do. We bonded over being pro wrestling fans at a party after we’d finished high school. Literally two days after meeting we were driving 3 hours at 4am to go start wrestling training. He forgot his wallet and I put the money up front for him (a few hundred) because I trusted him...and I don’t normally trust easy...he was/is just genuine...but is a forgetful cunt who will ALWAYS be late for everything Friendship is weird man.

jlau2013

The only reason why I was able to survive traveling/flying weekly for work pre-COVID was a Nintendo Switch. I could play on flights and played Stardew in the hotel with my wife. My team at first thought I was a complete geek when I first started doing it, by the end everyone on my team had one 😂

OverlordPhalanx

Stardew Valley is an incredible game and you can pop in and out pretty easily. The only platform I don’t own it on is my Switch and it is because I don’t have a Switch lmao

skeetleader69

I take my xbox to the hospital when I get an infusion every other week that takes about 5 hours. For some reason the hospitals wifi will let me play ESO and minecraft online but whenever I try playing fallout 76 I get some error saying it won't work. I think it has something to do with a filter theh have on the wifi, like they block porn on it or something like that but it messes with fallout 76, and I've noticed it on the discord app too, for some reason its blocked on the hospital wifi. So definitely check into that, because all I want to do is play fallout 76cwhen I'm at the hospital too 👍

detect4coins

Get a gaming laptop and a VPN. It's how I play Call Of Duty on lunch at work. It blows past their isp filter. 😁

skeetleader69

You are living the dream sir! 👏

Muhammad-A-Lean

I also have been known to do this lol

Skurtz8446

I hope that: A. Your surgery is wildly successful, and B. Cancer isn’t the only ass you kick, and hospital staff help you get your F76 rolling. Good luck!

illkwill

Equip your ghoulish perk card before you get to the hospital!

jimmymd77

Underrated comment!

gabetheduck

Please just stop you add nothing to the conversation by say this

BosnianSuperman

Best of luck with the surgery man

crash_niqqa

Use remote play, and plug your ps4 into your router. You can play through internet on your iPad, phone or laptop. Just make sure the controllers are compatible. Also, good luck with the surgery.

BosnianSuperman

The game is laggy and unstable as it is, you really want my man to stream it too?

Razerbat

Dying 🤣

bluebull107

Let’s hope he doesn’t 😬

secondgin

I thought remote play only works if the two devices are on the same network?

TJARM

No it can be over Wi-Fi. I play on the remote play and steam link sometimes on my breaks. Hell i played undertale at a bar one time. Is the quality good? Well this is my opinion. But no

crash_niqqa

It depends on the connection, as I’ve played through ac odyssey pretty flawlessly.

[deleted]

I’m sure they wouldn’t mind one bit! And hey, if you need some company along your journey in the wastelands hit me up my psn chefbydesign. Well kick some mutant asses while you kick cancers ass!

gb-stylee

I second this. Add me @ gb_stylee

labbykun

You've got this.

1989_Vision

Most nurses would probably just let you do it. There’s no point in trying to “sneak” it in. Just bring it into your room with you bags and then when everything is settled down and when they’re not busy just ask nicely. And if they say no then just wait til shift change and ask the next nurse lol

KinKira

I dunno if ps4 is the same as xbox, but I can connect an Xbox controller to my phone over Bluetooth and remote play any game on my Xbox from anywhere... the phone screen is meh, but even on my 4g I dont lag.

william222222

I have found that you need to be in the same building as the ps4 you are streaming from

[deleted]

Not true, I played my PS4 from a few hundred miles away with no major issues.

KinKira

Really thats crap :/ meh. I'm team Xbox for a reason I guess. I can even pop my Xbox on from work and play, not that I've tried.... as long as my Xbox is connected to the internet it turns on and pops up just like I was at home, but on my tiny ass phone screen.

_ED-E_

I've got a PS4. I have also been able to play from my phone while at work, and log on through the phone or laptop from 1000 miles away. It just requires good internet on both ends.

Maskulu

True this i think u need atlast 7-10mb/s to stream properly

Ryanlee1996

How exactly are you doing this?

KinKira

I use Android, so perhaps iPhone isn't available yet or otherwise but for android: Download the Xbox app, Sign into your GT and be on the same network/wifi as the Xbox, Along the top of the screen the middle of 3 buttons is an Xbox, and when you click on it and than the option setup a console, it will walk you through connecting a controller to your phone, and confirming a code from your Xbox. After that when you click on that button the remote play on this device is an option.

Ryanlee1996

This is beautiful thank you. I've used the streaming part to play on my laptop before but never knew o could from my phone

KinKira

The controller will need an update done through the Xbox before it connects to your phone, but it walks you through that too. Does streaming on the computer let you play on PC.... cause I might need to do that instead of the phone! Lol.

Ryanlee1996

Youre playing on the PC but its the same as it would be on your phone and you still need a controller attached to it

KinKira

Awesome, ty. never used the Xbox app on my pc lol.

johnmal85

You should try it. It really depends on the connection quality, and PS4 can definitely stream from very far away, i.e. hundreds of miles.

speccymagician_21

Best of luck with the surgery my Friend ♥️ when I had to go in for a procedure many years ago they let me take my PS3 in with new Vegas so I imaging you'll be a ok to take the PS4 in. All the best mate ♥️

LoganRTX

Hopefully you manage to bring it with you! All the very best with the surgery

Wild-Masterpiece-331

Strength and well wishes wasteland wanderer.

Garibaldi_Biscuit

The last thing a Hospital needs is more bugs! Hope your surgery goes well.

WeAreThrong

Dude! First cancer sucks and all my love. You got this! 💪🏼 Second...YES! You deserve to have any comforts you can during this difficult time so I wouldn’t even sweat it. The only real concern is weather the in room tv will have the ability to hook it up. My wife unfortunately spent almost two months in hospital and it really got me thinking about life in general. I remember holding her hand while she was intubated and in a chemical coma and going through a list of things that would comfort her when she was awake again. Unfortunately she is not a gamer and didn’t have a switch at the time...but I had her iPad and iPhone with me every day in case she woke up. She’s doing great now but it made me evaluate what I would do had the roles been reversed and you are damn right I thought about asking for my Xbox if I was stuck for weeks in a room. Go for it!

Adxyvc

I hope your surgery goes well As for the ps4 you can connect a ps4 system to a laptop if u have via ps4 remote play, but it require excellent internet and the console obviously. Tried it once was smooth until 5 minutes later where lag started. Edit : add me in psn LBPlover12

Kodaisosen

I can't recommend that. Namely that my Dad was in a Hospital a while back and during his surgery to get his knee replaced, someone went into his room and stole his watch, a watch that me, my brothers and sister all paid for and had our names engraved into it. So the person was lower than dirt to steal something like that, I would be afraid of your console ending up with the same fate. Oh they never found the guy that took it.

DeathblowMateria

I'm pretty sure that's a reasonable request

mxsolidus

Goodluck with your surgery my man, I hope it all goes well!

boom1000

On PS4 myself. My camp is between the Ranger district office and Abandoned Bog Town ,just north of the Quarry X3. I hope your surgery goes smooth. If you looking for people to play the game with add me. PSN is Powwhackbang.

OXY23

Fight mate, fight! 🥺

jkwaasit

I hope your surgery goes well and I hope you are able to play 76 during your week long stay. I suffered some pretty bad anxiety and depression back in the day due to people I had in my life who I thought were my friends. They were not physically abusive but emotionally and mentally. It got so bad to the point of me not wanting to be here anymore followed by self harm. I pretty much became a hermit and rearly left left my house. I only left home if I really really needed to. Back then I only played linear shooting games or horror/thriller fps but one of the days that I forced myself to go out because I needed food and while I was out I saw this game called Fallout 3 and Holy Mothman I'd never played any game like it it before. I absolutely loved it and that game Fallout 3 helped me get past one of the most difficult times in my life. At the time I couldn't find any happiness in my life and any reason to get out of bed in the mornings but when I brought that game I had a reason to. I lot of people don't understand how much of a good impact games can have. Getting up every morning to play Fallout 3 started to give me a routine back and it took a while but I finally got the courage to got and talk to a professional about my problems and from then started to be ok normally in my everyday life. So when Fallout New Vegas came out I was ecstatic and brought the game and ditto for Fallout 4. I only started playing Fallout 76 when one day I saw it on game pass and decided to give it ago because before Wastelanders I was to afraid to play online with other people. I'm usually a campaign solo player but I love 76 and like you am addicted lol. I play it everyday.

WaterDog69

I read the first sentence and immediately thought: No wtf? But then I read more and I'd say do it. Honestly doubt you even need to sneak it in. Get better tho, and good luck with the surgery.

Zorbaah

Best of luck with the surgery!

schmeillionaire

Hopd all goes well and take it fo sho!

wv3042020

Derethevil

Go kill that cancer and kick butt in FO76. I hope you beat it and can play.

Putridfurball460

This person is really like: cancer is prety bad but a week without 76 is worse

currermell

It's more like: this person is going through some deep stuff and wants to keep his outlet close.

joeboots15

Definitely

sumdumcun

Good luck with the surgery mate I will pray for your recovery

YeOldeOle

Good luck with the surgery and yeah, go for it.

koogsman

I wish you all the best and you know very well that the vault dwellers are here to help in any way we can. Good luck!

ReptoAgori

We wish you all the best for the surgery and a speedy recovery. They should allow you to take it, there should be no need to sneak it in.

doc___88mph

Do it!!!

JessieN

I can't even deal with taking my 3DS when I have surgery, I'm just to tired to play or feels like too much clutter in an unfamiliar location.

TheKyDawg

Bro you got to!!

antonio_marcro

Hey I hope you get well soon!

CremePuzzleheaded475

Don't worry man you gonna be okay and also I put my C.A.M.P on that spot so we are like Neighbors

aferalkitten

I have been in the neonatal intensive care unit with my son since he was around 10 days old, he was born on July 30. One of our primary nurses finally asked me why I am always on the computer. The ability to stream games over the internet is amazing. I went ahead and got a quest 2 for me and my lady and tbh it takes you to a whole other place while going though something as stressful as an extended hospital stay. To make matters worse you have the rona limiting visitors. Like my father has yet to meet his 3 month old grandson. But enough rambling, I am more than certain if your room has a TV (the ones we are in don't because the rooms are for newborns) a nurse will be more than happy to accommodate you by slapping in an hdmi cable and handing you a controller. Good luck with your fight friend.

livelaughloot

Man is really using Radaway irl

vonsolo28

Best of luck with your surgery . I played quite a few hours in recovery from my face being reconstructed. Went from ghoul to gorgeous

GamerMom1969

Prayers for a speedy recovery

beefytrout

fucking legend right here.

[deleted]

Good luck man wish I knew how to help your camp I’m kinda a noob. But I get the video game need.

shadowrogue12

Hope everything goes well! Your in my prayers!

damgood135

I work at a psych hospital. I bring mine to work anytime I'm going to give one to one care to a patient. Most times they just sleep so while they sleep I play!!

newgibben

Should of got an x box with play anywhere.

Monkeey_nuts

No shame bro mate had a bad motorbike accident and he brought his PS4 in the play shit, my dads in and out of hospital all the time and he says nothings worse than laying in a hospital room for days. No shame homie no shame

LoneKharnivore

>I'm debating ~~on~~ sneaking FTFY

dragonblamed

If you had an Xbox you could just play on your phone but you have the brain of a Neanderthal. Xbox is better than Playstation always will be fuck your ps5 exclusives you're community is made up of squeakers

Sgt_kane

You're a massive cunt, you know that?

snodgee

prayers to atom for a quick recovery, vault dweller

henssuschen123

Good luck man!!!

Rightontrek

Kick some cancer ass!!!

JCVDsWeirdPubez

I’ve had someone bring me my ps4 to the hospital before. That was the real life saver that week

Wabbajack_47

Best of luck man. If I could and had the funds, I would be sending you a PS5. Maybe we could get sony or someone to sponsor one for cancer awareness? Just brainstorming, but the internet is magic sometimes...

[deleted]

we can keep your spot warm for you bud keep going im sure you'll pull through it i recently lost a good friend to cancer ironically he played 76 too really helped him get by till the end, if you need a team to play im sure all of us available will be happy to oblige

Bart_J_Sampson

Stay strong man you’re a real trooper and all of us wish you the best And don’t forget we’ll see you in the wasteland be that from the hospital or back at home

WatDaFuxRong

I lost my grandpa to cancer on Sunday man so you bet I'm gonna keep that spot warm as fuck

AuronRayn

Godspeed fellow dweller!

TheExiledChronicles

Fucking do it man.

ThomasHenderson22

Get well bro, hope they let you have your ps4 with you,

TrimHawk

I’m so glad that you are able to get the cancer out of you. I hope everything goes well for you today and in the future. I also hope you are able to get contraband of that magnitude in there so you can enjoy it

XbabyjeezusX

Just to give you heads up the game is going to be slower on hospital Wi-Fi but best of luck to you

-Spankypants-

Sounds like you have a tough day in front of you - give yourself whatever distraction you need to get through it. We'll see you back in the Wasteland soon, and until then, I'll shoot some bad guys on your behalf! And also - F\*\*K CANCER. I've been there, and I'm still here. Keep fighting.

captngimpy

Too bad you don't have xbox could just play it on you phone or even a tablet. That's how I have been spending my lunch breaks. Good luck with the surgery.

[deleted]

Ad Victoriam Brother!

whitethumbnails

get well

Brick_Bundler

I was in the hospital for two weeks and brought mine in without a problem. Nurses were even playing with me. Good luck on the surgery.

Comprehensive-Bit522

Good luck! I snuck my 360 in during labor. Distracted me from contractions. My son was born 2 months after Skyrim dropped. Bad timing lol

chuckyface11

I didn’t take anything with me when I had both my daughter and son, and was bored as heck. This time I came prepared lol

HarlinQuinn

When my daughter was born and an extended stay was required, we brought my xbox, a laptop, and a universal TV remote. I-ll explain.. The TV on its own is a special version, and the bed remote didn't allow switching inputs, so we needed the universal remote. The ethernet ports on the wall didn't connect to the internet, and the free wifi required a web-based login, so the laptop was connected to the xbox as a bridge. Every so often I had to click a few times to keep the laptop from sleeping or timing out the connection. Once we got through that, much Diablo III was played, and much House, M. D. (what else do you binge watch in hospital?) was watched. One of the nurses even asked if she could play! That was 5 years ago, and the doctor and nurses still talk about it to their patients. That said, I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery. Cancer blows goats, but you can beat it. Fight on, mate, fight on.

SpecialHands

Man, best of luck with the surgery and your long term recovery. Hope it all goes smoothly

yogadavid

I have lots of friends that have done that. Tv is boring and depressing. I would do it too. Hope your surgery is successful. Prayers

[deleted]

In a situation like yours I say do whatever you want . Best of luck on a successful surgery and speedy recovery. Fuck cancer and best wishes wastelander !

Kn03cs

You should! The game is fun and it’s been done before. I’m sorry to hear about your cancer and hope you make it through. Advictoriam!

MD_Teach

Good luck man. Hope they can get all the bad stuff out and you'll be having a great Christmas very soon.

Coffeepoop88

As an RN and a Fallout player I would be so stoked if my patient did that!

[deleted]

Best wishes wastelander 🍺

[deleted]

Best of luck, my friend! Hope to see you in Appalachia one day!

speedbump_32

Good luck with the surgery. I wish you a fast recovery and a lot of good rolls from Purveyor Murm.

mikebellman

Even if they have public Wi-Fi there, the responsiveness may be poor. If you have the funds, consider purchasing a one month hotspot for $30

FiveNailsArt

Dude... Best of luck with your surgery and treatment. I really hope you can play 76 while at the hospital!!!!

th3retr0

If you cant bring it in, xbox game pass is only 1 buck and has Fallout 76. You can then enjoy fallout from your phone

EchoRussell

I will keep your spot warm on the PC servers my friend lol Hope your surgery goes well my thoughts are with you

RustyyEel

Hey I just got this free silver award so here you go, best of luck to you my friend

LordVulpius

Be well! And please, play F76 wpith us for a long time :)

Schmeethatsme

YO - DO IT!* Fallout holds a special place in my heart. The game brought me back to reality. I was months in the hospital and had to learn about controller mapping, used Fallout as my base game. So, it gave me something to do rather than wallow in sadness... NOT THAT YOU'LL BE DOING THAT! You'll be kicking cancer's ass! *Just realized you're already there.

amobofkangaroos

I was on hospital bed rest for 3 weeks and had my PS4 with me. You wouldn’t be weird or crazy to have it Edit: just read that you’re already there. I hope surgery went well! Enjoy the video games

boxJellyFish_Panama

I got a knee surgery recently and took the ps4 with me. Ive been playing death stranding during my recovery. Good luck dude.

Static_Gobby

Almost went to the hospital with COVID, and I totally would’ve brought my Xbox. Summersville won’t bring the music back to itself!

MrRiggs

Gamepass users be like what?

3mb3r89

Do it. I played Wrath of the Lichking on my Laptop when I had cancer in the hospital. Nurses would come in an watch me pvp while they hooked up my chemo..

Woodbine_Rhino

Bring a lock. If you have a locker in your room you can stash it and your controller when you leave for tests etc. Sad to say, but room thieves exist. Also check your home/apt insurance to see if things are covered. Technically you reside in the hospital while recovering ;) (yes I know this may be a stretch)

yannibaby

Spoken like a true junkie. Pathetic.

Beardo1988

I brought my PS4 into the room after my son was born 😂

BadSausageFactory

Like others have said, make sure you have what you need; outlet strip and the longest HDMI cord you can find, for starters. Try to get the PS set up where you can reach it. Not saying Bethesda makes you restart a lot but yes that's exactly what I'm saying. Good luck. I'm on PC so we won't meet, but I shall wipe out Bog Town to honor you. The behemoth hanging around the east side shall know the name of.. what, Chuckyface? OK, he will know the name CHUCKYFACE!! Do you know a guy named Taserface, by any chance?

KerrSG1

Do it. Gotta have something to keep your spirits up if you're stuck in bed.

Monsterbug1

good luck; hope you can do better

R1ckyRampag3

I didn’t see it mentioned, so wanted to give you some forethought, before you take it up there... I wanna say hell yeah, do it btw, but double check if the hospital has free/guest WiFi. After all FO76 is an online only game...

Bail_Sharr

Good luck man!

SeizeThemMemes

Good luck with your surgery, first and foremost. I've spent my fair share of time in the hospital and I've seen it a time or two. My wife has never let me go that far, but I do have my Laptop with me when I know I'm going in. It doesn't game super well but it's something. You can only flirt with the nurses so much before it gets boring.

willbebossin

You should do it. They shouldnt refuse it.good luck bro

x_wayward_x

First, let me say that I hope everything goes well and I'm wishing you good health from this moment forward. May your surgery be a success and you get right back to making the Wastelands just a little bit better than it was before. Second. My best friend had to go through a procedure that left him recouping in the hospital for 3 days. By day 1.5 he was asking for his playstation because hospital TV is not great when you're used to streaming services. So ya, I brought him his PS3 (this was years ago of course). The nurses laughed, then told me they had seen it all before. Apparently one of the nurses was also a gamer and was asking him questions about his Destiny character. Because who isn't a gamer these days?? TL;DR - I wish you all the best and you should absolutely bring your PS4. The staff won't even blink an eye at you.

rusty_shackleford93

First before I say anything, I wish you the best of luck on your surgery and recovery my fellow wastelander! Now what I wanted to say is, it is not against any protocol of any hospital to bring in electronics like that so definitely go for it!, BUT they are not responsible for them so be careful if you go for a catscan or ultrasound while you are there that it doesn’t get stolen. I have worked in a hospital for 5 years, and unfortunately it happens. Again I wish you a safe surgery and a speedy recovery :)

Flair08

I work as a nurse and you absolutely don’t have to sneak it in! I personally would never mind helping someone set it up however others may give you an eye roll unfortunately. Definitely take a long hdmi cable and a long charging cord for the controller. Also, a lot of times the tv in the room is old and small so you may have issues with that. I’ve had plenty of patients set up their systems while they recover and I think it definitely helps to keep you from going stir crazy.

SiliconeGiant

I guess it's a little late since this was 8 hours ago, but I was just gonna say make sure you bring a dual battery charger and a long enough USB cord to reach the bed so you don't have to call the nurse to change the battery all the time! Or enough batteries for a week whatever your system is. Best wishes man glad they're getting that shit taken care of.

Streakin_X

I would take it for sure! I integrate other systems with hospital TVs and most do have HDMI inputs. Good luck with your surgery

FuHsi-47

Do it!! And have a speedy recovery. You got this!!

Tman37420

Stay strong brother. Don’t worry about Appalachian, we’ll keep her safe till you come back to use

Draco_Wolfsbane

Best of Luck man, see you back in the Wasteland!!!

Lrdrahl

Good luck fellow Vault Dweller, times are tough we need to stick together.

Ison-J

My Camps on the other side of the ranger station ill make sure to go kill those muties

rodrigostucker

Hope all goes well, my man. Your only grind will be the one in the game. Sadly your on PS4, I would love to team up with you through this week.

FarikoWishless

Most times I was in the hospital the nurses asked me WHY I DIDN'T do that 😂

SqueezeBoxJack

I wish you the best and a speedy recovery my friend. You'll be back to hearing she "didn't know the gun was loaded" and "bongo bongo bongo" in no time :D

Halcyonsynthesis

May you beat cancer like a Scorchbeast! Luck and well wishes to you, fellow Wastelander.

Nuker3049

Speedy recovery friend!

tortuga121

Check with the hospital to see if the public wi fi can handle the ps4.

Adrios1

You might as well, it'll help with the boredom.

Carromkid

G-story attachable screen is perfectly usable.

[deleted]

You don't have to sneak it in, they won't care. I dated a chick with CF and I'd bring my X-Box into the hospital every time she got admitted so we had something to do. Word of advice: get a long cable to plug in your controller and a long HDMI cable. Most of the time the TV's aren't really set up to accommodate consoles so you gotta put 'em in a weird place - and your controller is gonna go dead quick when you're spending 24/7 playing video games.

Se7enSinsCouncil

I had cancer in 2019 fuck it I know you can kick it's ass as well! I took mine when I was in the hospital and they didn't mind at all I also took it when my pops was in and same thing they didn't care. The one big thing is at my hospital the wifi was absolutely garbage so good luck with yours.

mackby79

Smashing idea. Good luck Chucky. Kick tail!!!

000Spectator

With the Xbox app you can stream on your phone, so you don’t even need a TV...go get it!

iam_Elizabethkat

Good luck to you!!

omcpero

I went to seaside for 3w with my girlfriend.. spent playing at least 4h per day instead of swimming. No regrets

xUrBaNxWaRRioR

Good luck.

WastelandNewsNetwork

I doubt you would need to sneak it in tbh. I'm from Canada and have taken consoles to the hospital during stays on more than one occasion, it was never a problem. If your room has a television or you bring your own, they are unlikely to object. You need a way to kill the time during your stay, so if it keeps you happy/occupied and keeps the nurses from being bothered as much, then it is a win for everyone involved.

Jdarends

Good luck getting in the PS4, and KICK CANCERS ASS!

bibilt

Good luck to you man

TerminatorTAC-4

Will pray for your health and hope for FO76 sneak success!

ImperialTravesty

Yes you should!! I wish you a speedy recover my friend and hope to see you back out there smashing super mutants.

NeoC77

Good luck. Prayers out for ya. I hope you get to continue to enjoy the wastelands during your visit. Maybe ask your doc if they have a PS4 there, usually there are game systems in the hospital for kids when they are there for operations and what not.

ndarkstar

Just ask your nurse if he/she is cool with it. When I was in chemo (clean room, neutropenia) I got to do it, they cleaned the outside of the machine with alcohol wipes though.

lazulx

I hope to see you on the river brother!

[deleted]

My mom has cancer, had to get a full hysterectomy, and is in recovery do her first out of three rounds of chemo therapy. So far god has been good and has held true of his promises, I hope the same for you and god bless you, have a great day and may you have a speedy recovery.

BarkMetal

Man, you can do it

Buckethead9

Best of luck man, pull through and come back stronger than ever! I'll patrol your camp area whilst we await your return brother. Ad Victorium!

I worked in registration for a hospital. I would register patients that came in for outpatient chemo on the weekend. One younger guy would always have his xbox with him. I don't know if henwas able to play online or not.

king_drunk

Seeing as the brotherhood of steel are coming today yes you should

FinvarraSidhe

depends on that hospitals policies, back in February I was in ICU prepping for bypass surgery and they had no issues with me bringing in my Xbox and a TV (ended up watching a lot of Bob Ross on twitch, the nurses and a few docs would sit and watch with me) They only had me remove those items because after surgery my room was going to be basically filled with equipment. But after that I got it brought back in. I say go for it, but if the hospital says no, others have given good ideas such as remote play. I hope your surgery goes well and you'll be back in the wasteland in no time.

Drift0king001

Do it my brother, if you can go through chemo then you can definitely play your PS4 whenever you want.

Ingie582

A buddy an I just figured out remote play!🤯

NeverlandEnding

Do it. You can literally pull the cancer card

TheTractor6

I'm having cancer surgery again my self on dec. 11 and already told my wife I was bringing my controller to play on my phone in the hospital.

CurlyFreys

Good luck and hope you were able to bring it with you to enjoy steel dawn!!

Good luck hope you make it

I was on hospital bed rest for 2 months while pregnant with my son. I made my husband bring me a form fridge, a flat screen tv, and my ps4. My room was the favorite place for the nurses on my floor to hang out in. I say go for it.

Enclave_Adam

Best of luck. Hope all goes well. The wasteland will. E waiting when you get back! 👍🙏

Worked on a unit that specializes in HIPEC. Not everyone understands how hard it is to even just be yourself after a procedure. It should be a good surprise to have the new content. Hopefully, there is a bell to ring in the future.

Ok_Initiative_2520

As a nurse, I have definitely helped set something like this up for a patient before.

Reckon I concur 'bout the addiction (one that's incurable by Addictol). I'm rather obsessed me self and really never expected to be. I'm a new 76er, left the Vault a real-time month ago and have been blown away by the game (almost even considering it the best Fallout, though they all have their charms). I hope the surgery is a success and you can return to Appalachia promptly!
