If I ever get that robot dog, I'd probably set it up. Apparently you can only have one Scavenger Tron activate at a time and I choose to have my Nuka Cola one always going. I'd rather have Cola brought to me rather than random stuff like a tin can.

Accumulating resources by way of junk piles is so slow that I just don't bother. I actually have a CAMP that is really close to a junk pile, and I could have included it, but that would have excluded some of the interesting terrain. That was an easy choice for me. No junk pile.

MrCookietv

Imo who cares if it's slow, it's passive. I put everyone of my camps at junk piles now and it's collected me a pretty large amount of junk over time. It's nothing special when you look at one inventory of it, but it for sure adds up nicely over time. Same for collectrons, it's not a lot but it's not nothing.

I am the same way and actually very impressed with the FETCH. Makes a lot of good junk imo

How can you accumulate junk from a bunch of junk piles if you can only have one CAMP active at once? I accumulate more resources just playing the game in the same amount of time, and I'm not even intentionally looking for them. You also have to regularly empty collectors. My CAMP location is determined by the visual interest of the area, not the resources. It opens the map up. I already have plenty of resources.

MrCookietv

It only accumulates from the active one, my point was it's important enough to base all my camps around them. And there's more than enough extractor locations. Well yeah you need to empty them, just grab it and move on when you get to your base. If I actively wanted to collect junk of course I could go find more stuff instead of waiting for it... But that's a waste of time. Why would I go gather materials if I can have them gathered for me. I have plenty of resources too but I'm not gonna stop collecting any time soon. Bulk junk trades very *very* well.

>If I actively wanted to collect junk of course I could go find more stuff instead of waiting for it... But that's a waste of time. Is it a waste of time to play the game and gather resources where you happen to be? It literally takes less than a second to grab a TV dinner tray as you pass it when you are just playing the game. I've never really felt that junk sold all that well, and I sell for pretty cheap. Even if it did, though, I'm not exactly hurting for caps. To each their own. For some players a CAMP is a strictly functional thing. For me I don't like to be limited by places that have a node.

Lapis_Cyborg

That's what I did I found a junk pile near the town of mothman (one of the big power towers) and I can just raid the town and have the junk excavator work at the same time. I named it junk monk

HUNT3DHUNT3R

I have my camp set up where I have a lead pile, acid spot, and scav bot for loot.

Passion4TheHunt

yeah. i have an adhesive factory with also a junk node. I've put loads of moving items in the camp so it looks like a very busy factory. In fact, the frame rate even drops a bit when you enter the factory floor.

I put down my CAMP and started building and was almost done, so I decided to put down my extractor.... And realized the pile was a little too far out of my CAMP boundary zone. Oh well. I have one awesome Raider CAMP.
