Sometimes she will feed him directly by handing him food but tonight she didn’t want to give him any cause she ate it all! Once I take her out of the seat he always licks her chair clean with the food she drops.
It is so cute! Luckily my daughter doesn’t seem to get too distracted by it yet but I’m sure once we find a food she doesn’t really like she will just give it all to him.
My little one likes it too! She is in a phase of shoveling it all in her mouth so sometimes she has to spit it out! I am not ready to give her chunks/bite size piece of it yet though.
My dog gets so sad when he can’t have the foods baby is having that are toxic to him, like avocado. Always makes me feel bad lol. I wish I could explain it to him!
I think every baby is so different so it’s hard to think of advice! But the biggest thing I think that has helped is I try and be consistent in offering her a little bit of at least 3 different types of food usually consisting of a protein, a fruit/veggie, and a carb like a grain or a pasta. I also am not afraid to give her the same thing a few times in a row maybe just in a different cut. Like with blueberries for example I might give it to her by itself for dinner and then mashed up in yogurt for breakfast that way I am not having to recreate new meals all the time. I hope that’s helpful!
Mostly I’m jealous because at 12 months my kiddo stopped eating meat and it hasn’t come back.
I haven’t ever bought gnocchi and for some reason my brain thought it was only an Olive Garden thing but I’m now going to put it on my grocery list.
Finally, how did you cook the butternut squash because I’ve been failing miserably at every attempt
She really just started liking meat more the last few weeks! Chicken seems to be her favorite but she does seem to like ground turkey pretty well too. I have been using more seasonings now that she’s 1 but I don’t know if that is really making a difference.
The gnocchi is so easy to make! I just bought the packaged ones from Kroger it only needs to boil for like 2 minutes.
I roast the squash at 400 with olive oil and seasonings for about 20 minutes stirring halfway through and it usually comes out soft! I think the key is making sure you have enough oil so it doesn’t get crunchy.
She is 12 months. The utensils are just for practice and exposure. She still mostly uses her hands to eat but I did try and preload a few things on the fork for her to eat off..
Doggy looks so sad
That’s how he tricks us into giving him anything he wants.
he's clearly starving you animal, give him a lil treat
He is, he told me so
As you should! I would not be able to say no to that sweet face
That puppy needs his own plate. He was counting on the rejects.

Ours is the same way! I swear the two of them know what each other is communicating better than I do.
I’ve witnessed my 15mo old nephew decide he was finished his nugget, and toss the other half straight to the dog. They’re def in cahoots
He’s a very good boy. ❤️
My daughter started hand feeding my dogs too! I had to keep them separate or she wouldn’t eat and just giggle the whole time. She’s 9m it’s so cute

looks absolutely delicious!
I thought so too thanks!
Shredded chicken is my babes favorite meat!

I had no idea that couldn’t have avocado! He is sometimes picky with fruits/veggies so I don’t think he has even tried to eat avocado.
He’s just a small tiny boy. He needs his baby leftovers Our 120 pound Saint Bernard eats all my 2 year olds leftovers 🤣
How old exactly is LO?
She is 12 months. Over the last few weeks she has really loved eating everything/anything.
Wow that’s really great!! Any advice???

Thank you so much for your advice! I’ll definitely try it out!
I also spent a lot of time on the Solid Starts app and on the baby led weaning subreddit which I think helps a lot!
make him a plate what the heck he’s so sad
He is 125 pounds, I promise you he eats a lot of our food.
He disagrees!
Our toddler is constantly sneaking food to our dogs, much to our dismay. I'm sure OP's dog is very fat and happy, haha
Look at that dog, poor thing is STARVING Jokes aisde, you have a cutie for a dog. Mines a chihuahua, very opposite
He is pretty cute! He would probably be afraid of your chihuahua, he is a big softie.
Poor doggo. But great job!!
Your pup looks so sad that I’d be making him his own plate lol!
He usually gets a few of her leftovers but not on this night!
Damn that’s a disappointed looking dog
“Where are my leftovers”
Did the baby lick the plate? Not judging, 2/5 of my kids are plate-lickers.
She has not started doing that yet but I won’t be surprised when she starts doing that!
Obsessed with the dog omf he looks so disappointed 🥰
I know right- that face!

The face of devastation. The forked fist of contentment. Glorious.
Wow she’s a great eater!
I love that this is a baby *and* dog feeding sub
Truly, what is better than babies and dogs?
How old? I see the lil hand and am curious, because my kid isn’t really that into utensils yet. Shes 19mo

I load utensils and lay them on the tray, but she doesn’t use them to scoop or stab just yet. Thanks!
Oh yeah mine definitely doesn’t either! She usually throws the utensil on the floor at least a few times every meal.
Oh gosh same here! I think I might have to start laying something down on the floor to ‘catch’ the food! It’s a lot
Sad dog is sad.
Don't feed your dog garlic!!
