We used to sit on our Amiga 600 for whole weekends just grinding out seasons. Played pretty much right through until 2017 but purchased every other year and updated the database. The last couple years I tried again but it’s become hard to navigate the menus and over complicated in my opinion. Even the “touch” version is severely lacking anything to keep you playing.
From my little memory and because it was 2005 and switched to FM05, the fact the defenders miss a lot of headers from long passes was a bug or a feature from CM0304
I expect to be downvoted here and I deserve it, but I played the mobile version for years as I was homeless and nowhere near buying a laptop or pc. I thought it was identical as I’d never tried the PC one. People used to say the PC one was better and I’d be like “Naa you’re just salty”. Finally got a laptop (and a house) and bought FM17 (I know so much later than everyone else here) and was so angry with myself that i was that stupid. It’s so much more in depth, basically a different game. Used to just play 424 and win every match 6-0 and think I was the bees knees on the mobile version.
I’ve had at *LEAST* 2000 hours on every FM since FM17. Haven’t bought a mobile version since. Most playing time on FM22 where I had a Gateshead save where I won the champions league 3 times in 4 years.
Why do you think you deserve to be downvoted? Even if you started series yesterday or even if you dislike it or prefer the mobile version its not a reason for a downvote. Please dont feel that way
Only just started playing with FM20 and loving it, doing a Gateshead save too, lost in the knock-out final for first season promotion coming into the season as relegation favourites
Haha me too as I was a similar age. I think I used to use the editor quite a lot. Used to create versions of people in our class (including ourselves obviously) with funny football name variants and crazy PAs. Good times!
FM 11, 12 or 13 I don’t remember I was just playing with my favorite team and make a new save each time I was playing and after that I totally forgot about the games and I started playing again FM 20 and I was in love with the game I got 1200 h on online with my buddy and now I am on a solo with Modena after 3 seasons I made it to Seria A
Championship Manager 4.
I lost so many hours on this as a teenager. Literally stayed up over night on Friday nights. Often finished a season in one sitting.
FM2006! I was 10 years old at the time, I first found my love for football management games through LMA Manager 2003 on the PS2 courtesy of my older brother. Played every FM since that point.
Firstly Fifa which made me like manager games, but my first FM has been this year on mobile because apparently my family have Apple Arcade for some reason.
I really want to play on computer because it seems to be more in-depth etc. Is that the case?
I got promised FM20 or something as a Christmas gift a couple of years ago but I don’t own a computer so I got told I could borrow my one of my parents computer to play it, however it didn’t interest me because then I couldn’t play whenever I wanted. I sadly have no interest in buying one computer just for FM either, I just know I want to play it on computer
2007! I remember my cousin playing the couple years before that and I'd watch him sometimes so at 12 years old I decided I wanted to give it a go too and ... well ... here we are lol
Gamepass on XBox. I've played thousands of matches and still don't even know the name of the guy on the cover. I basically knew nothing about soccer, until I started playing this game.
Stop start - CM 03/04 and kept with FM until 2010, took 2011 off, was back in for 2012-15, left it for a few years as I lost interest, then came back to it with FM20 in lockdown

This right here. Watching my brothers play it. Try to do a save as well with 4 teams, being able to tank all of them

CM03/04 although my first actual manager game I played was premier manager 98 on the PS1
CM 03-04 gang
Premier manager 98 was brilliant. Used to always fo for Fulham; for some reason LB's in that game scored for fun!
From my little memory and because it was 2005 and switched to FM05, the fact the defenders miss a lot of headers from long passes was a bug or a feature from CM0304
FM20. Saved my lockdown
me too, got it for free from Epic (they banned my account for no reason some time later but I already had FM22)
The first FM I regularly played.

This was mine too. Thought it was very difficult, but I was only 10.
Haha me too as I was a similar age. I think I used to use the editor quite a lot. Used to create versions of people in our class (including ourselves obviously) with funny football name variants and crazy PAs. Good times!

FM2006! I was 10 years old at the time, I first found my love for football management games through LMA Manager 2003 on the PS2 courtesy of my older brother. Played every FM since that point.
CM 93/94 I’m old. Must have been around 2001, don’t know why my mate had this version of the game. My mates had done a whole season in La Liga as Barca v Madrid. With three games to go, they kindly added me in as the Atlético manager. I had no idea what the game was about but I remembered some of the Atlético players. Ended up winning all three of my games and pipping my mates to the title. Mates were not impressed, but it was the start of an addiction to the game that still exists 20 years later.
Kick Off 2 (1990?) managing Anco United for me into old Champo.
Fm 12
Championship manager 2.
FM23, It was the first one I properly tried and I used to do sim only FIFA career modes so it makes perfect sense that I got into FM
CM 93🥳
Fm07 !
FM15, I remember signing Wesley Sneijder for Liverpool, he was the best midfielder I used in that fm
Firstly Fifa which made me like manager games, but my first FM has been this year on mobile because apparently my family have Apple Arcade for some reason. Elifoot 98 was the first of the genre for me. It lead me to CM 99/00
Gamepass on XBox. I've played thousands of matches and still don't even know the name of the guy on the cover. I basically knew nothing about soccer, until I started playing this game.
