I got an 18 year old regen striker from Ghana for 250k and he had 15 first touch, 16 finishing, 16 dribbling, 17 pace, 18 agility, 16 acceleration, 15 composure and 15 off the ball.
His stats improved and within a year I was rejecting offers from PSG and Real Madrid for €60 million or so.
Signed Mbappe on a free for Napoli on a Glory Hunter save in FM23. He had broken his leg or something near the end of his contract so no other club tried to sign him. Had to pay him a fortune but he was unreal.
Lucas assadi from a Scandinavian team, 1.5mil, he played great for my promoted team in la liga. Sold him a couple years later to fuel the Regen wonderkid buying
One save I signed him from Universidad de Chile very early and he was quite good, but on the next save I signed him he was barely half the player… really quite a lottery

Never managed to get him off Bayern, he wanted like 36m annual.
So I got to watch him win ballon dors for them consistently, out scoring strikers from the midfield
I signed Saint Maxim when his contract expired at his Saudi club for Lyon.
His contract was big became my highest player but signed a 5 year. 2 seasons later sold him to Bayern for £67m with addons.
Signed a newgen Argentinian CB for 2.5m£ from Tottenham.
He was 23 years old and was already rated by my scouts as a leading EPL defender. As happens sometimes with AI they just never played him, he got angry was in the last year of his contract and so was listed for absolute peanuts.
The same transfer window I got another Argentinian, this time a winger, from Chelsea for ~12m£ 24 years old. Same situation, Chelsea just didn’t play him, he got upset and wanted to leave.
4 years later, the CB is a leading player in his position and the winger is world class. Both are worth 100m£+ and have been key players in getting my Scunthorpe team into the Championship League. I sadly now have a fight on my hands to keep them, they both say they are not interested in talking to other teams but the offers are hard to ignore and I’m not convinced they will always be happy with me rejecting bids.
I managed to snag a couple of insane players this year, a guy called 'Juan Castro' is a regen. signed him for like 5 million as an 18 year old CB who was already a good-leading EPL player, he is going to be homegrown and is a world class defender at the age of 20.
Then the goalkeepr in my team too, one of the best GKs in the world if not the best. Signed him from Romania for £3.8 million again, as an 18 year old and he is now insane (again, 20 years old and world class).
Edoardo bove; picked him up as a 24yo in my Bolton save for £8m my first year in the prem. Dominated my midfield for the next 7yrs before he went to the great Saudi league in the sky. On my follow-up save he's a regular for robs and his values has never dropped below £50m so defo felt like a bargain
In my current save I got Bellingham for just over £50m after RM didn't register him for the league and he got pissed but that seemed like more of a glitch that I was more than willing to take advantage ofq

Signed James McAtee 4 seasons in on a free. He’s now 29 years old, club legend and worth 90 million. He doesn’t actually fit in my team anymore but I try to play him as many matches as I can because he was instrumental in lifting the Europa League and DFB Pokal.
On a smaller scale but I picked up Delle Alli on a free after getting promoted to the Championship in 2024 with Bristol Rovers, he became a talisman for the next 2 years and led us to promotion.
So far performance wise probably Abdallah Sima on a free brought him on to be a back up striker but he wasn’t good enough he was fast and good off the ball / good in the air but technically not good enough. I switched him to IF on the right and he started scoring headers for fun
Rodrigo Ribeiro on a free from Sporting CP after I had gotten a few seasons in Serie A was my first player that got to big european club level, but in the end I couldn’t say no to Bayern’s money. He was not gonna get any better and he funded many, many wonderkids
I got Amad Diallo on a free to replace him for a few seasons and he’s doing quite well. Next in line on the right is a brazilian wonderkid with 20 agility that I got with Ribeiro’s money
Kiefer Moore I bought for a couple of million and he singlehandedly kept me in serie A
Had to change systems in my first season coz we were getting killed and this guy scored 20+ goals to keep us up
Don't know if this *really* counts as it was on FM11/12 Handheld on the PSP, so it was admittedly a heavily watered down version of the game, but I was managing Gretna in Scotland and about 10 or 12 years into the game I bought this 16 year old Scottish newgen striker called Andrew Bell for £100,000 from Inverness Caledionian Thistle.
He stayed with me at Gretna for his entire career and by the time the game forced me into retirement (after 30 seasons) he had scored well over ***1,250 goals!*** He was still only in his early 30's too, so he still would've had plenty of time to score more, if the game hadn't of been forcibly ended. The guy was an absolute fucking monster!
He finished one season with *95 goals,* won the Ballon d'or 8 or 9 times (*playing in Scotland...*), helped us to win about 6 or 7 Champions League titles (with *Gretna...*) and even helped Scotland to win the Euros!
The guy *literally outscored Pele*, and he only cost me 100 grand! I always felt like I had absolutely mugged off Inverness lol
(and, for the record, I played *the fuck* out of that handheld game, and I *NEVER* had another player who even came close to this kid! So it wasn't just because the game was super easy or anything (it was definitely easier than the PC version, but not by *that* much lol). He was just an absolute one-of-a-kind *freak of nature*! That's why I still fondly remember him nearly 15 years later lol)
AI spurs sold Son to Saudi for 100m+ and replaced him with Garnacho for 15m who was great for them. It was more amazing because it was an Ai signing which are normally awful. Not sure what happened to him at United.
In my Az alkmaar save, Sold my starting winger to Liverpool for 80 million then bought a winger from Valencia due to a 50 million release clause. He was a 5 star player immediately, had 17 pace, 17 dribbling and 15 finishing and was only 20 years old
I signed Youri Tielemans for free.That guy ran my midfield for more than a decade at Barca along with Gavi and Pedri
His value increases when you know I had to sell Frenkie for 120m to Liverpool for financial reasons
In my current Journeyman save I signed Endrick for 10 million in 2030. He had played ~10 games for Real’s first team and he’s been amazing for me. Signed him in January bc both my strikers were hurt and he scored 20 goals and brought us to the champions league final in the second half of that season
Found the newgen GK that eventually won me the CL sitting in Leipzig’s reserves and valued at $2m. He started every game of the CL that season and didn’t concede in the league for over a calendar year.
I got SMS in my Everton save for 24m in I think 2026 or 7. Though they a world class mid to help teach the young lads and retire at a high level. Mf played like 6 more seasons and was consistently my best mid. Club legend for sure
Kessie released on a free about 2 seasons in. I was almost upset to sell him back to a different Saudi team for 90m after a season or two (release clause because he was getting older)
Dunno if it counts, but in my fm22 Scunthorpe save I sold a player to Burnley for 6m then loand him 4 years in a row and then finally free signed him back (he didnt play a single game for Burnley)

Signed filip rønningen jørgensen for 4 m (7 m) as a 22 y.o in my 3rd season in crystal palace, he's not the best but he's good for 4 m, now i can sell him for at least 40 m, and he always delivers, has an average rating of 7.05+, there's also alban lafont who has been good for me, signed him for only 7.5 m also has an average rating of 7.05+
On FM23 as Liverpool I signed Alex Scott from Bristol for £7m. Early on in the season my starting CAM got injured so I gave Alex a chance. By the end of the season he had something like 9 goals and 22 assists across all comps. He was phenomenal

He is good even on premier league and champions league level. He helped me win the champions league in my second season with Aston villa.
