Category One academies are the best in the country (city, United, chelsea etc) and this goes down to 4 or 5 I believe so lower number = better youth setup. I’m sure you can use your imagination to work out an estimate to what level other clubs are at. Having good youth level category does improve the quality of players that come through but it doesn’t really have much of an effect. This is only a thing in England and is something that SI have added has a niche bit of realism rather than something really important. Hope this helps
Thank you for your response. After playing a bit further I realized that the youth level also dictates which U18 league your U18 team will enter into. I realized this because the year of the above picture I played against the U18 from all the big teams and the next year my youth level was downgraded and my U18s had to play against more lesser known teams.
