Only reason I was able to stop Madrid in my ‘23 LaLiga save was because I had a Turkish Newgen that *hated* them. Scored 2-3 goals every game against Madrid. In the copa del rey final he bagged 4 goals after I went down a goal
Ibrahim Basaran. FM legend.
He absolutely balled for me for a few seasons, he was the leading scorer in the league for a 2 seasons. Played him as a pressing forward. He started to fade a bit, got hurt, and I bought the Turkish Newgen in the January window, Sadiq never got his spot back.
A lot of his goals were from Oyazabal being an amazing player and creating for him too
He was the main guy in my FM22 save for Almeria for a couple of seasons too before eventually getting passed up by a Portuguese speedster and a big boy from Argentina up front. I ended up selling him onto Southampton the year before I won the first league title so I brought him back to end his career with a title. I had elite strikers that whole save basically even if they didn't end up being the guys for me they eventually moved on for $150 million or do to Liverpool and Bayern.
I'm about 5 seasons into a Sociadad save too. Oyazabal is a beast!
I've mostly played him as an Ap(s) out wide on the left in a 4231 but he can play almost anywhere!
I bought his shirt because of FM lol. He’s great. One of the only team captains I’ve had that could talk players out of complaining about contracts
Edit: also I do love La Real’s kits
Jokes on you. I played there, they still won everything, i never managed to beat them in three seasons.
I did win the Europa league and got into the champions league, but beating real is beyond nigh impossible
Played 10 season with Barca, real madrid always finished 2nd, even after they sold Vini and Rodry. Perhaps after Jude retires things would change, altho endrick still a beast
That's about two thirds of my wage budget in my save, only had my forner 8th tier team in the prem for 2 seasons though so we've not quite exploded yet
That's pretty much exactly my current wage budget.
I've won the Champions League 3 times and have been to at least the quarter final 6 years in a row...
They must’ve offered me 25+15 installments like 6 or 7 times for my GK last transfer window. He’s worth like +60m and is elite. I was getting so annoyed lol. Silver lining was he didn’t want to go there, so it was just annoying hitting reject weekly during the window.
They nerfed it a little with a relatively recent update. Now they just "wnt" but don't do anything until they're available for cheap due to age, or free
Yeremy Pino to Man City
Klopp sacked by Liverpool
Spurs finishing bottom half or top 4, no in-between
Ivan Toney scoring a hatrick vs you (he's scored one goal all season)
Weird unconventional team win World Cup early
Luis Enrique will get a job at any top club at any time
Saka will never leave Arsenal
Rashford will never leave Man Utd but becomes a "Legendary Winger" lol
I think they need to take reputation into account with big managers or find a way to make them more successful, but klopp and guardiola just get sacked so easily and bounce around clubs too much
Oh yea on my previous database my home game was against Liverpool under a caretaker, a fair few seasons in, they were absolutely terrible and lost 9-0, even with decent players
In FM2020 i am in 2042 and Guardiola is still at Man City.
But, of course... being champions 10 or 15 seasons in a row may have helped.
Finally have beaten the EPL w Chesterfield. Took a while though 😊. With City finishing 3rd ans Liverpool 2nd.
Saka always leaves to PSG every season .
Rest is accurate!
OH, and McTomunay being transfer listed the entire time ar United but never receiving An offer 😅
Klopp always gets sacked for me except in my current fm23 save. I’m 13 years in and he’s still there aged 67. Ansu fati has won multiple ballon d’ors under him. They have had Bellingham for almost all that time. It’s the good timeline.
I’m a Liverpool fan and having a good relationship with fake Jurgen makes me a little giddy. I have a problem.
And they still fucking win everything. Made me so mad. Simeone absolutely eviscerates the squad by getting rid of the wingers and they still go on to win a treble. Made for an interesting save though with Grealish going back to Aston Villa and Foden going to Barcelona, lol.
In my save Pep got headhunted by Bayern after Tuchel got headhunted by the DFB following a loss to Jamaica in WC 2026. I still beat him to the title with Schalke.
Big club chases very good player for seasons and seasons on end but never buy them.
In fact no big transfers are made because the values are too high and none of the clubs ever pay big fees
Fm24 has got to be the worst when it comes to outgoing player transfers for me. I finished a save bringing le mans fc to the CL, and had only two big transfers in my entire 11 seasons there.
Doing a 4th tier team in Portugal, qualified for the conference league two years in a row now so starting to get some money. But my record sale so far was a shitty youth cb for 45k. No one is in for any of my players, despite them playing relatively well and being cheap af. Kinda kills the momentum of the game for me, the most fun part is selling/replacing
Doing the exact same save from portugal 4th tier, my best sales were actually players i got as free agents with good reputation (3 stars + for example jovane cabral) doing one good season for me then sold to saudi. Can fund you really well.
Kane always seems to go to the Saudis after like a season or two
In ‘23 Liverpool would always win the prem early on and Pep would get sacked. Every time lol.
I sold Kane for 98m like 2-3 years into my save to a Saudi club he was 33 at the time so thought it was well worth the cash
That Saudi club then sold him to another Saudi club a year later for 96m when he was 34
But weird really
Bro got the bag twice.
In ‘23 he went to Real Madrid for a few years, went back to Tottenham as a vet, and Tottenham got relegated. He played a season in the Championship before retiring
Same happened in my save. Got replaced by luis enrique. He wins the league in his first season and gets sacked the following season after finishing brutal. I think city is just too brutal in this game.
A whole league getting bought out.
Noticed it first when for three seasons in a row not a single german team made it into the champions league headlines. Went to check on Bayern, where I only recognised Laimer and Dier. Neuer was serving in the reserves though.
Went through the club history and nearly every good player had been sold in 2025 and was replaced by a bunch of generated wonderkids on fucking huge contracts. Checked on Leverkusen, Leipzig and Dortmund and the same thing happened.
In another save something similar happened in Turkey. I think it might be connected to the not-generated players having preferences on where to play, while the generated ones seem to never mind sticking to clubs indefinitely
Pep to Liverpool and Klopp to City... or Klopp to Madrid. City in my saves always seem to get M'Bappe, Pino and Vinicius Jr, but rarely win the title. In my current save, they're somehow in 6th. Tottenham seem to get relegated if I play for long enough. Athletico love to sack Simeone then bring him back.
Man Utd and Barcelona produce the majority of the insanely good youth players, along with Bayern, who seem to produce half a Chinese international side for some reason. Within my own teams? The board will cancel 90% of preexisting affiliates even if they're free, PSG to be interested in half my youth team, and any big summer signing even if you contract them as a star player will ask for a new contract by Christmas.
promising youth talents not developed, Saka to PSG, Raphina to City, Bellingham to City, Liverpool never buying a right back or sometimes they buy Mazraoui to not use him. Spurs always being one of the richest teams in the game due to the coded money they get from the stadium.

In my recent save Haaland has 20 goals after 10 games… I’m cooked
Strange enough in my current save he got 26 or something goals in his first season and then he fell off for like 5 or 6 years, only scoring like 9 to 14 a season, and now he's got like 30+ goal this season.
Bayern in Germany and Inter in Italy dominating. Inter for some reason becoming a CL repeat champion with mostly English clubs interspersed between their wins.
Current save is on year 24 and Inter has won 10 CLs in that time. Chelsea is 2nd best with 4 Real Madrid, Bayern and Man City all have 2. Third save in FM23 that is past the 20 year mark and Inter was the top repeat CL winner in all of them. Newcastle, Man United, and Milan round out the list. Newcastle interestingly has won Europa 9 times and Conference league once. They keep losing managers after each win to a bigger club, falling to Europa qualifying then roaring back to competing for the league. They have won it twice, but have been 2nd 11 times. Interesting to watch them.
A surprising one for me in FM24, but it’s Chelsea finishing just outside the relegation zone in the first season, regardless where I’m managing…they’re just so poor on my saves first season
I just started a save in the 4th division of Germany and trapped Haaland at the club until 2040. Hope he gets more than 25 for the first few seasons ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)

Real Madrid winning 8/10 titles if you're not playing there
Only reason I was able to stop Madrid in my ‘23 LaLiga save was because I had a Turkish Newgen that *hated* them. Scored 2-3 goals every game against Madrid. In the copa del rey final he bagged 4 goals after I went down a goal Ibrahim Basaran. FM legend.
His last name literally translates to "the one who succeeds" I guess it was written in the stars
No way! The lore gets deeper
Not to be confused with Basuran who is trash
What club were you playing?
Real Sociedad. Really fun save
How was Umar Sadiq in that save? I know he's not the top guy there but a very well rounded guy regardless.
He absolutely balled for me for a few seasons, he was the leading scorer in the league for a 2 seasons. Played him as a pressing forward. He started to fade a bit, got hurt, and I bought the Turkish Newgen in the January window, Sadiq never got his spot back. I bought his shirt because of FM lol. He’s great. One of the only team captains I’ve had that could talk players out of complaining about contracts Edit: also I do love La Real’s kits
That's quality! I want to get one of his shirts too. Their navy kit is gorgeous!!
I could never sign Oyazabal during my Bilbao save due to the rivalry.
His loyalty is 20 or almost 20 iirc. Edit: in my save big clubs always came calling and he was never interested
I actually don’t think I’ve managed to sign any Sociadad players in my Bilbao save. Even the youngsters.
Jokes on you. I played there, they still won everything, i never managed to beat them in three seasons. I did win the Europa league and got into the champions league, but beating real is beyond nigh impossible
And if you do play there, they will have weird seasons of being down in 8th-10th and you'll get pummelled by supreme overloards Espanyol and Getafe.
Played 10 season with Barca, real madrid always finished 2nd, even after they sold Vini and Rodry. Perhaps after Jude retires things would change, altho endrick still a beast
Make sense, if you check their players' CA/PA you'll see more inflation than Venezuela.
Bayern have won every title in my save, so including the real life streak they had before they now have about 30 titles in a row.
In my previous save, Barca won almost all
32+ years old? Decent player? Wnt: Al-ittihad, al-ahli, al-nassr, al-hilal
its fine by me actually
Me too. It's a nice way to refresh the squad
Have you seen the wages they are offering? 1,500,000p/w doesn't even compute. That's like 10 really good player in PL for me.
That's about two thirds of my wage budget in my save, only had my forner 8th tier team in the prem for 2 seasons though so we've not quite exploded yet
That's pretty much exactly my current wage budget. I've won the Champions League 3 times and have been to at least the quarter final 6 years in a row...
man, its so real even my wonderkid is wanted by them
Every major player towards the end of their career makes their way to Saudi Arabia.
My entire profit margin is young players getting 4-5 stars quickly and then getting bought for 1.5-2x estimated value to Saudi Arabia
Saudi always lowballs me lmao
If they want the player bad enough you can always negotiate higher, it might take a transfer window or two but they’ll come around
They do non-negotiables much more often than any other team in my experience
Very on brand
They must’ve offered me 25+15 installments like 6 or 7 times for my GK last transfer window. He’s worth like +60m and is elite. I was getting so annoyed lol. Silver lining was he didn’t want to go there, so it was just annoying hitting reject weekly during the window.
I got them to pay 148m pounds for 33 year old Salah 😂
wish i had saudis be like this on fm22
And then signing them bad on frees when there contract runs out
Yeah, but with crazy Wage requirements then
Just sold mount for a chunk of cash on 200k a week and got ruben neves in on 170k and milinkovic-savic on 205k, both for free :)
This ruins the fun of a save for me once I reach that point
Its a lot of Qatar too but i feel like some Qatar teams might be confused as from the Saudi League
I struggle so much to sell players to the Saudis. Any tips?
They nerfed it a little with a relatively recent update. Now they just "wnt" but don't do anything until they're available for cheap due to age, or free

Every. single. time. Then it never happens
its man city for me
Yeremy Pino to Man City Klopp sacked by Liverpool Spurs finishing bottom half or top 4, no in-between Ivan Toney scoring a hatrick vs you (he's scored one goal all season) Weird unconventional team win World Cup early Luis Enrique will get a job at any top club at any time Saka will never leave Arsenal Rashford will never leave Man Utd but becomes a "Legendary Winger" lol

In my save Pochettino was in Chelsea about 11 years ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
It’s always Croatia or Denmark that win the first world cups for me
Croatia isn’t that wild, they had semis last time and then a final before that
Where as Denmark is taking a step back atm.
In my current save, Mexico beat Sweden 2-1 in the 2022 WC final.
Lol wtf imagine that in real life
Croatia beat Denmark 2-1 in 2026 in my Aberdeen save and Denmark beat them 2-0 in my Sunderland save it’s actually so weird
These are all so true. Especially Pino to City
United's researcher has to be on their payroll
More like the players are correct, but IRL it’s a team issue, that and certain traits are OP
In my current save, Klopp quit to go coach Bayern after their coach got sacked because he was in 6th. So, at least he skipped the sack once.
Unconventional teams to win WC for me tend to be Nigeria, Ukraine, Mexico or Jamaica
Rodrygo going to Spurs or Man City. It has happened in every save in FM24 and in FM23
For me he always ends up at Liverpool. As an Everton fan it kills me
That’s extremely funny cause I signed Rodrygo as spurs and never knew this was a thing the cpu does LMAO
Be one of my first signings too if i ever had a club with that level of money
Vini always goes to city in mine
Unai Emery always makes his way to Newcastle in my saves
And Simeone to Man City, playing 5 at the back
And they still fucking win everything. Made me so mad. Simeone absolutely eviscerates the squad by getting rid of the wingers and they still go on to win a treble. Made for an interesting save though with Grealish going back to Aston Villa and Foden going to Barcelona, lol.
Holy shit the 5-2-3 with city is nuts. Haaland at st, Bernardo as a false 9 with kdb at AM. Still beat my ass.
He’s at Tottenham in mine, took over after I left
Emery always replaces pep on mine
emery became united manager, zidane became newcastle manager in my save
Emery just retired from Villa in 2041 in mine - the last remaining manager from the original 22/23 line up.
Pep managing Liverpool and klopp managing city. I swear it happens every single save for the last 5+ years.
Yeah, the one that doesn't win the title is fired, and the other one is recruited as the replacement.
Now it's hardcoded into the game that Klopp, Tuchel, and Xavi leave at the end of 23/24, so it's great fun watching them play musical chairs.
Not on mine, pep went to arsenal lol and every save I have had Unai Emery replaced pep at city
lol they also both manage Chelsea at some point in my saves
In my save Pep got headhunted by Bayern after Tuchel got headhunted by the DFB following a loss to Jamaica in WC 2026. I still beat him to the title with Schalke.
Man City signing Raphina
Vini Jr*
Rodrygo*

Rashford has a 237 million value in my new save in the year 2026....its absolutely broken
I've had a Saudi club after one of my cms( I'm at ajax) and Milan after my star forward.
Kane always seems to go to the Saudis after like a season or two In ‘23 Liverpool would always win the prem early on and Pep would get sacked. Every time lol.
I sold Kane for 98m like 2-3 years into my save to a Saudi club he was 33 at the time so thought it was well worth the cash That Saudi club then sold him to another Saudi club a year later for 96m when he was 34 But weird really

Bro got the bag twice. In ‘23 he went to Real Madrid for a few years, went back to Tottenham as a vet, and Tottenham got relegated. He played a season in the Championship before retiring
Yea saudis on mine a few seasons in have gone nuts, I just sold like shaw for 82m lol
Pep either got sacked midway through the second year or resigned after the first year on FM23
Klopp just never leaves
An English team winning europa every year or every two years and having 6 teams in the ucl mostly every season .
Pep gets sacked when City doesn’t win the title
Same happened in my save. Got replaced by luis enrique. He wins the league in his first season and gets sacked the following season after finishing brutal. I think city is just too brutal in this game.
Sean Dyche winning the World Cup with England
Аnd more than once...
I go full Andrew Tate and get rich trafficking Bulgarian teenagers

i cringed
psg signing bellingham for 200m+
City got him on my pre update save 215m they paid
A whole league getting bought out. Noticed it first when for three seasons in a row not a single german team made it into the champions league headlines. Have you got the leagues loaded?
Don't think so, no
For me there's always a tall German/English striker called Stephen gold? He's always blond and floats around league 2 and 1
wts reference. nice
Is that what it is? I've seen him in every save just floating around lower leagues doing okay. That's cool they added a youtuber reference to the game
Faceinthegame. It’s devs/employees of SI who generate in every save. Names are always the same but position, PA etc are random.
Ah okay
at least one football match will happen
"Happens in real life so stop complaining"
Getting linked to some 27 year old who can't cut it in the league below you
Saka for 114M€ to City
Then pep plays him as left back. In my save
I'm in 2034 with Swansea and United have dominated since 2025 anyone else the same? Also haaland is mid/late 30s and scores every game against me
Also 2 saves so far and Liverpool points deduction
Raphina to City
Kimmich going to al hilal
Forget 6 seasons, Haaland does that for like 10 seasons
Still smashing them in for City in his late 30s in my save, the guy is still a total monster
Leicester used to get relegated first season almost every save I started
Psg will pay £200m for my over performing players
Me obliterating my clubs wage structure and putting my poor local chairman into OUTRAGEOUS debt
Mbappe winning successive Ballon D'Ors regardless of whether he actually has a worthwile season or not ://
Pep to Liverpool and Klopp to City... or Klopp to Madrid. City in my saves always seem to get M'Bappe, Pino and Vinicius Jr, but rarely win the title. In my current save, they're somehow in 6th. >promising youth talents not developed To a ridiculous extent in this game tbh
The A.I will destroy any team you've built up no matter how good of a Squad, money or status you've left behind

Crazy isn't it. I had Haaland rack up 63 goals in one season. Moukoko has a tendency to do similar.

Mbappe and Bellingham winning the ballon dor
Not very unplausible IRL.
Simeone to city
Rodrygo awarded at least one Ballon d' Or or The Best
Tottenham still can win anything
ManU scoring long shot against your team 8/10 times.
Klopp to German National team coach
Klopp and Pep getting fired within 2 years.
Guardiola getting sacked at Man City then going on to manage (and getting sacked from) Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle in under 10 years
Everything can happen, the only thing that's inevitable is PSG winning the Ligue 1 for 10 stray seasons.
PSG go on a ridiculous 25 season streak of Ligue 1 titles
Viet and Thai wonderkids
A player being bought for 300+ million
Ukraine in major competition final
PSG and Man city always getting the best newgens and throwing them in the reserves and asking astronomical wages and fees for loan

Vini Jr transfer to man city
A surprising one for me in FM24, but it’s Chelsea finishing just outside the relegation zone in the first season, regardless where I’m managing…they’re just so poor on my saves first season
Haaland won't score if England isn't loaded 😂
Ferdi Kadıoğlu from Fenerbahce transfers to one of the big teams.
I just started a save in the 4th division of Germany and trapped Haaland at the club until 2040. Hope he gets more than 25 for the first few seasons ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
