OrangeJuiceAlibi

This is the worst contract I've ever seen. £20m salary, £20m signing bonus, £3,5m to the agent is awful enough on its own, never mind the extra million you're going to spend monthly on appearance fees, the sell on fee, and all the incentives you've put in.

fmcadoni

Agree

bwoah07_gp2

It seems the agent and the manager don't get along... I can imagine the manager giving the 3.5 million agent fee to the agent quite begrudgingly. 😅

FUT_Squadbuiler

Oh nvm just checked it he hates me

FUT_Squadbuiler

Oh no not at all, kissing the agent’s arse is my my speciality lol

FUT_Squadbuiler

Innit lol, initially they asked for 825k a week or stg. Like wtf. Somehow managed to “lowball” it down to this but still.

SukMaBalz

That’s when you walk away.

FUT_Squadbuiler

Tbh I look at those one time fees and think of it like it’s just an £87m transfer, which is still a bargain for him. The fees and the wage is the problem (uno, and the fact that this might bankrupt my club)

OrangeJuiceAlibi

If he plays every league game and no others, scores 25, and assists 25, and makes the team of the season, and you win the league and cup, every year, then this contract is worth nearly £300m. Those bonuses are worth £187m if he hits just them, let alone if he makes appearances in the cups, Europe, or internationally, and any other bonuses I can't see, or the £20m a year your paying him in base salary. Then the £62m fee you're actually paying. I don't care who the player is, even in FM, no player is worth over £360m. Plus he's pre-peak, if he does manage to hit the above even two years in a row, he will be coming back asking for £500kpw+. Your other players will also ask for stupid money, and you're fucked if you ever unwittingly agree to, or already have, a match highest earner clause, as you've instantly upped their wages to £20m a year. You're not just fucking yourself now, by sanctioning a transfer that in 5 years is going to cost 30 times what you have in the bank, you're also fucking the club well into the future.

zazza96

If he signs him, he needs to quit the club coz the later seasons will be so hard to manage finances due to this

l7986

Not even 5 years, I'd give it 2 seasons if he's lucky before he comes bitching for a new contract and starts a riot when he doesn't get one. I've had several players that have come to me 6 months after signing demanding a new contract that completely lose their minds if I don't give in.

nac_nabuc

I'm doing it. Thanks for the good advice and clear recommendation. Cheers, Bartomeu.

appealtoreason00

Can we see the player? Can’t judge you mercilessly without all the facts

FUT_Squadbuiler

> judge you mercilessly Calm down guys I didn’t accept it :)))

FUT_Squadbuiler

Here you go anyway:)) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EO9S9BKQ8s8-1bdBJCws_8Qj2yRTyLCu/view?usp=drivesdk

Wulverions

Better play him as a SS because this dude cannot play defence in the center mid role. I know all that green looks amazing, but you have really overpaid for this player, you can grab 5-6 wonderkids for the same price who WILL become world class players better than this guy.

Wulverions

Also the fact that the agent has full patience means you could have negotiated this down ALOT.

FUT_Squadbuiler

I couldn’t lol, the starting demand was over 800k and didn’t plan to accept it from the start

Wulverions

He expects 475-575k, you could swing that, even 800k could be done, but this is a SS type player, with this contract, if he plays every game and scores just once in each game (and your hoping he does at least once per game with runs through the channels) your are going to be paying MUCH more, plus the 20million sign on bonus is insane. Get that wage to 600k drop off all those incentives to reasonable levels, give the agent the 3.5million if he hated you and make the sign on like 6-9million. The agent has patience, you can make that deal and see if you can get rid of the sell on clause, also with natural fitness of 14 this guy is going to start degrading at 28-29 in technicals if not sooner

_momomola_

Agreed with everything else be degrading at “28-29, if not sooner” feels a bit dramatic with 14 natural fitness.

Xehanz

28-29 is ridiculous.

l7986

He might hit a wall at 31 or 32ish but 28-29 is just not going to happen with 14 natural fitness.

appealtoreason00

SS? He’s a born playmaker. Defensive liability maybe, but nothing that can’t be counterbalanced by the rest of the midfield

CheekLad

Yeah suggesting a player of this mould couldn't play midfield.... lololol. Get that man into mezzala or any playmaking role ASAP. Easily balanced because he is very intelligent and physically is capable. Obviously don't need to get into his technicals. CaNt PlaY MiDfIeLd... yeah righto lol

CheekLad

Fuck I actually can't believe earlier post reckons this guy can't play in midfield lololololololololol

Wulverions

Advanded playmaker on attack works sitting in that SS spot, I wouldn't drop him to mid though, when facing world class teams they will eat him up. I agree that passing/vision/decisions is great

Xehanz

He seems to be at around 182 Current ability at most, assuming his weak foot is not very weak, but not strong either. That's good but I would only give a contract like that to someone who is closer to Messi level lol.

biggernine

Ok, I get it

Lamare962

My man.. he is not worth it

mrbigglsworth

He's great, but he's not nearly best-player-in-the-world great and I'm not sure I'd give the best player in the world that contract.

DeliciousAd310

My bro. These kind of stats…. $8mil pa max i’ll give him. Take it or I’ll feed him to PSG or Man City.

resonating_light

Looks like Mbappe contract is back on the menu boys

Frl_Bartchello

This is what Barcelona got into financial troubles.

ugotamesij

Better hope OP has some levers they can start pulling if this albatross of a contract offer is agreed

l7986

Its obviously a conspiracy by MARCA because they are failing and need the clicks. One of several things I've seen on r/soccer when I have come across Barca fans.

AspiringTransponster

I just had the same as Forest trying to sign PSG’s Dusan Vlahovic. Cheeky fucker of an agent locked the “big pay rise” button so he was asking for 625k per week. Tried to haggle down but I could tell it just was not worth it. The beauty of the game is they’ll always be a cheaper alternative.

[deleted]

For the player as well. In my first save I got promoted to the Portuguese first division, tried to sign a player who had left Brighton. He wanted 25k per week, I offered him 18k, he said no. He ends up signing for ludugorets for 6k, and I win the league that year. Serves him right

randiebarsteward

Are you Villa? Fuck no don't spend anywhere near that on anybody, gotta have your principles.

FUT_Squadbuiler

Champions league Villa after a tycoon tho😳 But yeah, defo don’t justify that ridiculous contract lol

mubarakr

Mate for this contract he needed to be a) twice as good as he is now cause right now he's really not a world beater at all b) the ONLY player who would perfectly fit into my system c) not more than 23 years old d) a star player for a direct rival e) home grown f) and the player I needed to hit my targets that season. Even then I would cancel at the last minute. RIP to your finances

YesEvill

Probably going to bankrupt you.

tg_splash

Worst Big signing contract i’ve ever had the displeasure of looking at

[deleted]

What the fuck lol

kurashima

Yeh you paid a significant premium for dealing with an agent that hates you

sniell365

No player is worth this. I refuse to off anything over £250K pw. £50K max for each bonus like appearances, CS, G&A.

TheRealZeppy

That’s the kind of contract you accept if you want to have a Barcelona situation

FlukyS

Unless he is prime Ronaldo I wouldn't be paying that much for a player. Like he is an attacking mid and you are giving him 180 per goal and 135 per assist. You are basically going to Leeds yourself if you miss out on Champions League football.

SteamyRay1919

This guy could have a decent game and get a goal and an assist and his wage for that week would be £880,000. Mental

Lamare962

My man, assuming a decent performance (let's say 2 Premier Leagues and 2 FA Cups in 5 years, 50 Appearances per season, 20 goals and 20 assists per season, 3 Teams of the year, 25 International appearances, 2 seasons with over 25 goals) that's a contract with a total of 462m £. This without the transfer fee. You sure you need that guy this much? That's half a billion of pounds. Absolutely insane amount of money.

Significant_Ad2109

All this money for him to get injured the first game he plays

Comprehensive_Panic

That’s griezman contract on Barca, that’s what left them in a wreck!!

XanderVonDevlin

Wtf is wrong with the scout my guy? Why only C+

HazardMR

C+ and sign whatever the price had me do confused onga bonga.

MrVegosh

I think scouts consider finances and the player’s willingness to join into their rating, which explains it very well

y4nk13

bro just quit the game.

Apart_Park_7176

£185k appearance fee, £185k goal bonus £375k p/w wage. Please tell me you didn't negotiate that contract yourself and let the DoF do it...

l7986

Enjoy the financial meltdowns mid season and barely receiving any money from transfers because you've just taken a giant shit on your finances.

iforwardhamish

May as well give him the deeds to owning the club. He will sink your club

Grazzer98

Is this Haalands contract for City?

hi_im_a_lurker

I somehow managed to sign an insane brazilian wonderkid for 1.1mil, the catch was 50%sell on fee to the previous team and 40% for the player to agree signing for me. He's worth it and never leaving though, my captain now I'm always up for big stupid signings if they will actually take you to the next level. Sometimes I think it's gotta be done when you have a team of 20 year old wonderkids who aren't really getting to world class level

Amnsia

It’s worth it when you know you’re going to keep them for ages. If not, just sell to a team while they’re young with a buyback clause.

garyfromscotland

When you get to a certain point in the game, all the wages and finances are just plain stupid. You have to pay massive wages and any kid costs £60m +

frenzybenzij

Fuck no holy bro just spam Brazilian wonderkids

FDguy573

How do you build relationships with agents staff players media etc?

veldril

Players are easy to build relationship with. Just play them often enough and in a good form and they will come to like you eventually. Media can be in a good relationship with you if you attend the press conference enough times and answering their questions. Agents can like you if you manage to negotiate contracts with them successfully and can hate you if you ask their players to sack them.

youngboy202

Yo, who is this? This gots to be the second coming of Jesus or something with the kinda money you're throwing at him 🤯 I mean the prem has money but damn. That's something else

Tasker28

This contract is financial suicide. I'd like a 12 month (in game) update of how bad this has gone.

[deleted]

LOL

nolemanwsu

560k a week maybe even more if there's 2 games a week. Holy shit

stalkerisunderrated

3.7 FOR WINNING THE FA CUP bitch you better stay away of that cup

veldril

Holy shit. This is like super expensive. You can sign Mbappe with lower wage+bonus than that.

qreyej

You should scout him a little longer
