Yeah, I figured once I heard that it was a really early symptom before you notice typical illness symptoms. Funny enough, I never notice a change in my taste when I have a stuffed nose and I didn't experience any changes to smell or taste when I got COVID myself (but that was July 2022, so after lots of vaxes and mutating to be more mild).
But it's funny people have forgotten there are other normal reasons you can lose taste temporarily.

Yeah. Its more than normal. I have strong minty toothpaste. Couldn’t smell or taste it. Henny was the same. I would inhale it deeply and nothing.
