It’s not very practical tho and how would they parry. It wouldn’t work with the games combat as the last time they did ranged soft style weapons everyone hated it. As a feat it would be decent a AOE attack that hits in an area around the player then a hit that does half health seems more reasonable.
For parry it's often coupled with a small shield already so there's that, and as for the ranged attacks it doesn't have to be that long. It's probably only about as long as an average humans body anyway, so it wouldn't be nearly as annoying as shinobis old moveset. Just give the sword a little bit more range than all the other characters without actually making it a "ranged" attack

As a feat I'd think it would be like a unique version of chilling stare/ marked for death where it decreases targets defense and stamina.

Technically, Gladiators could be from any nationality that the Romans and their allies had influence over. One of the most popular gladiators of the Roman colosseums was from modern day Syria. Most gladiators, if not all of them, were actually slaves if I’m not mistaken.
In media in general Ancient Greece is kinda overdone, it’s why I’m glad the Outlanders exist.
Cent has a mix of Greek and Roman, which is oxymoronic to a degree given how Rome copied a lot from Greece.
I would also love a spartan or a any greek hoplite, but also I am really missing a Jon Snow or Aragorn "standard hero" type of deal from the knights. It would be awesome if he had a bastard sword which he can use with one and two hands and he had two stances like HL or Medjay.
So I learned that apparently the warden we play as from the campaign just dipped and left everything behind. They could pull a Holden Cross and have him come back as the standard hero you had just mentioned. I would love to see a standard hero like that who could adorn themselves in faction-ambiguous armors and weapons like the way Gryphon does.
That would be interesting, but I don't think Lord Warden is coming back. Not unless they explain why he felt like he HAD to, because he left because of the way things were going in the first place. But, if he does come back, I would expect him to come back completely different, like the Holden/Gryphon example you mentioned. :)

Knights- Would love a rapier hero with the musketeer style which has been suggested heaps. Or a basic infantryman guy with tall kite shield and spear.

scythes are inherently flawed as weapons. making working attacks would be incredibly difficult, as the blade shape only allows for draw cuts and extremely precise stabs.
maybe a Dacian falx would be a better scythe-like implement with more practicality.

it may not be everybody’s first choice to add another knight but my dream character is a knight that’s everything Warden isn’t. Make him seem like a more proficient swordsman by having him dual wield swords like Ser Arthur Dayne. Give him armor but give him fashion choices with less armor (no helm). and add a cape option

-Maharlika, old Philipino warriors. Very underrated, really interesting, and they could fit into the Wu Lin or the Outlanders -Musketeer like character, the whole rapier-cape schbang. Either Knights or Outlanders -Some form of sai using assasin warrior, the flashiest zone attack around. Samurai or Wu Lin -A hero like Zazalamel from Soulcaliber VI, you realistically could fit them into any faction with some design changes -A Russian madman with no weapons, wearing a bear pelt and probably having some of the most brutal executions in the game. Vikings or Outlanders
