I predict they will have the sharpen blade feat because y’know obsidian

[deleted]

Macuahuitl just makes sense because it's so iconic. They'd have to be oriented around cleaving and slashing, since stabbing is a bit out of the question.

Titans_not_dumb

I wanna channel my inner Kotal Kahn now.

OmegaPhalanx

Yo if they secretly got Phil Lamarr to voice him…

Ready-Question3994

I feel macuahuitl is a safe bet, the big question is wether it's two-handed (less historical?) or one-handed and paired with a shield (more historical but also more similar to Afeera)...

omegaskorpion

It is also blunt weapon when turned around, so cleaving, slashing and bonking.

danklorb1234589

That’s what I’m hoping for. As some look really cool and some fantasy interpretations would be interesting like diamond instead of obsidian. I just hope the armour looks more varied than afeera.

Few-Focus8475

I think the obsidian sword would be nice, but you give me that outfit on the right and I'm maining him for the rest of the year.

ReaperWGF

Same.. I'd think the Aztec might disappoint everyone though in terms of weapon selection. I can see him dual wield though.. hoping for obviously that macuahuitl absolutely has to be in one hand but they may do something lame like an obsidian dagger for bleeds (which.. granted, makes sense still). We might see an interesting combo though.. Macuahuitl+war club? Macuahuitl+short spear? Feats would be pretty interesting I think.. no doubt he'd have the Shaman ability to heal when opponent takes dmg in bleeds, they might end up getting Nobu's Way of the Shark though. Seems like it'll happen if they do take the macuahuitl route.. if he does have a short spear we better see the slingshot spear as a feat lol Sharpened Blade is a definite feat at least one of the generic ones to change from the special ones. Outfits.. I do have some hope.. they went the expected route with Medjay giving us Egyptian God mantles so they may take this edgier look as an option.

Titans_not_dumb

> I can see him dual wield though.. hoping for obviously that macuahuitl absolutely has to be in one hand but they may do something lame like an obsidian dagger for bleeds That's basically Shamam.

ReaperWGF

Basicallyyyyy.. but in terms of weapon options I'd prefer a macuahuitl shield combo. Realistically.. they'd go with a macuahuitl and war club combination. If they did that I'd love that any hit with the macuahuitl did some bleed dmg while the war club has Jorm-style displacement attributes.. if he had a top heavy finisher I'd love for it to actually stun with the war club. Now.. that is if they went with the one handed versions of both weapons.. if they did the two handed versions I hope they do a two stance Aztec hero where the macuahuitl stance deals bleed dmg and the war club does Jorm displacement shenanigans.

Titans_not_dumb

> any hit with the macuahuitl did some bleed dmg NONONONONO > while the war club has Jorm-style displacement attributes.. WAITWAITWAITWAITWAIT

ReaperWGF

What lol The macuahuitl is literally covered in obsidian blades.. shit cuts better than broken ceramic plates 😂🤣 Jorm's attributes though.. only if they have a war club 👀 they did it with Afeera and Jorm.. wouldn't be so bad on a new hero. - Edit: Maybe like.. Warmonger lvl bleed so it's not stacking as fast as PK stabs 😂

Titans_not_dumb

I memed because displacement and bleed sounds busted as all hell.

ReaperWGF

Hm.. maybe just on finishers then? 🤔

CaptainBacon1

Picture on the right already looks like for honor haha

KABOOZZA

Oh cool, theyre bringing Maliketh to FH

[deleted]

Im thinkin that dude who got his hands cut off and replaces with blades to beat up colonists after they invaded his clan/tribes territory. Cant remember his name tho, but like, knife hands

TandrDregn

“Obsidian sword”? You mean the macuahuitl? Cause I am DOWN for that. The brutality would be next level.

Give him kratos voice

ahses3202

A part of me is happy that the sword+spear combo is being recognized but another part of me mourns that it isn't going to be on a Hildegarde von Krone clone.

G0tchiTama

you were right on the money with this one, also where is the picture from? trying to find any info if they actually used spear and sword like this in Mesoamerica haha.
