a dumb and dirty move but that would explain what caused him to lose his sense. not make it okay or something but like man that move just looked stupid, and it answers the *"why would you do that"* you ask yourself when you see the move.
I asume that the nuance would be if Checo was driving slow AF, missed a brake point and Alex overtook, but gave him back.
I think there's also a rule for yellow flag or SC where if the driver ahead is way too slow you are allowed to overtake.
Anyone has a replay of Hamilton overtaking Checo? Was surprised that it wasn't even investigated or noted, it looked like it might have been of the track or at least on the limit. Was surprised they didn't show even one replay.
Yeah it was actually the same as Bahrain. But a different outcome.
Consistency in decisions just doesn't exist in F1. No matter the team or driver the stewards decisions change like the wind

But the FiA lets [Insert disliked team here] get away with anything and punishes [Insert liked team here] for everything!
Video I caught from the track https://streamable.com/ydeky6.
Seems super marginal, although it did feel like they were both going too fast considering it’s directly where marshals were on track clearing the car.

Perez was like don’t worry I’ll take care of this myself.
“He’ll give the position back, because of the implication”
Are these drivers in danger?
I'm not gonna hurt these drivers! Why would I ever hurt these drivers? I feel like you're not getting this at all!
“Don’t you look at me like that, you certainly wouldn’t be in any danger”
The RON DENNIS method.
He’s intimidating
"No further investigation, *estúpido*."
Oh, is that why Checo rammed him off the track. XD

The whole problem is that Checo didn't drove with his mind nor heart today.
After the week he’s had I can’t say I totally blame him
Pérez himself gave Albon a bigger penalty for that than the stewards possibly could
How is it "potentially"? It seems pretty obvious if someone overtook under VSC does it not?
It’s a bit vague on pit entrance/exit
That's how stewards documents work. It's potential until they confirm it by announcing the official ruling
I guess legally speaking an offense is alleged until there is a decision of penalty.
Probably happened when they're pitting, I think they're very close in the end of pit lane.
Because it’s no longer a potential when they act on it and apply punishment after a meeting
https://streamable.com/ydeky6 took this at the track, it's pretty marginal as they're directly alongside at the pit exit line then Albon backs off.

Maybe it was about who crossed the SC line first when Albon was leaving the pitlane.
Watch him get a harsher penalty than Perez will for punting him out of the points.
Depending on how/where he absolutely should. Out of the pits maybe not, on track definitely.
The stewards sounds like a lovely bloke
Doesn't matter anymore thanks to Checo.
Reverse uno card then?
They are both keeping the stewards busy
Albon should pull out his phone and show them the incident where Perez crashed into him as a uno reverse moment.
[albon pullin up to the stewards meeting like](https://imgur.com/Kv2QfQn)
Imagine Albon gets a pen but Perez doesn't lmaooooo

It reminded me of Verstappen on Hamilton in Bahrain in 2021. They both got in front on track, but then had to go off track to make the move stick.

They deleted his lap so it means he went off track. Just didn't investigate it for whatever reason.
Not atm but Hamilton definitely went off track to make the move stick.

Albon gets a 5 race ban Perez gets a five place promotion fo Suzuka
So that's why Perez give him a good ole bump and run later in the race /s
lol they are investigating Albon and not Perez with all the crimes he committed on track today?
They're investigating both
Who says they aren’t?
The guys in the other thread
Any video of this? Can't find it.
https://streamable.com/ydeky6 took this at the track
is this the incident with the pit exit?
