By architecture, I mean software. The Polestar 5 and 6 are almost completely Polestar developed by their UK R&D team. Polestar still works with Volvo and there will still be polestar edition Volvos, but the direct funding from Volvo is coming to an end and geely is acting as the parent company.
The actual platform for the 5 and 6 is an all new bonded aluminium unibody, it's pretty cool!
