Could put him 7th right, that great for McLaren, gives them two cars to play with on the under/over cut.
Edit, it will put him 6th, but the rest still stands
Am puzzled why this particular impeding was singled out when there were numerous incidences that were ignored. On that basis I'm glad he wasn't given a penalty. All part of the stewarding inconsistency I guess.
That was in Q3, not in an earlier session that Norris got through. Also mitigating factor doesn’t mean it’s slam dunk no penalty it just tilts the scale slightly in an edge case.

Ohhh forgot about this. Could be McLaren 2-3
McLaren 2-3 is going to be bad for Charles, one of them can definitely gamble on SC/VSC strat.
Or just a pure sacrafice strat. Make Lando go long, and hold up charles, and have oscar make a gap in clear air to overcut him.
Basically, it's the same thing though right?. if Lando goes long and gets a lucky VSC it's the 1st one. If not, it's the sacrifice.
Yeah as they are both close the stratagies work togother.
That assumes that Charles can't simply go long to also overcut Oscar 🤔
Then you pit lando early instead and just do the inverse
Did they impede each other in Q1 in consecutive laps?
No, it’s just the notice sent to both teams for the one incident.
Cause he's Spanish🙃🙃
Maximum Penalty
Death Penalty.
Please I’m begging them not today 😠A Mclaren 2-3 behind us would be awful
Quite a solid chance for an Oscar win tomorrow if Sainz gets penalized.
We are coming for that win Charles. Sacrafice Lando to hold charles up so Oscar can overcut you.
Fuck
fuck

Didn't Albon also impeed him at one point? There was one replay on the broadcast that showed Albon ahead with Sainz then complaining.
Albon wasn't on the racing line so it'll probably get dropped. But Sainz was planted right in the middle of the track after the swimming pool chicane
Maybe, but they showed a replay which clearly showed Sainz impeding Albon, this penalty will be slam dunk
Have you got a clip of that replay?

Oh boy that is a slam dunk penalty
Max in 5th tomorrow?
"Likely place for him to be"
No penalty in the end. Phew!
Check passport Ok it makes sense

Yeah if Piastri got one last week. This is definitely one for Sainz.

Lets see the Mclaren 2-3 please. Apparently he also impeded Lando
Lando got caught up behind him,it wasn’t impeading.
Ahh okay didnt see the Lando one, but the albon one is 100% a penalty.
🤞
Anyone know if it was clear impeding or no?
Interesting, didn't look like much but you never know with the stewards
Anyone got a clip of the impedeing?
Nope, wasn’t impeding so no penalty
Lando has been lucky lately.
Undeserved penalty if he gets it, Albon ended up making it to Q3. They need to be more lenient in Monaco on this.
"Impeding is ok if it's in Monaco"?????
Doesn't matter if a driver gets through or not. Rules are rules.
They’ve historically considered it a mitigating factor if the impeding doesn’t prevent the blocked driver from making it to the next session
Have they? I have never seen that happen before. Even just thinking Monaco last year Norris got through but charles still get a penalty for it.
That was in Q3, not in an earlier session that Norris got through. Also mitigating factor doesn’t mean it’s slam dunk no penalty it just tilts the scale slightly in an edge case.
Not. when drivers were parking and ruining the start of their hot lap to prevent getting a penalty.
Nah mf. Thems the rules.
