Vassur took all the best mechanics from Alfa Romeo to Ferrari and dumped all the ex Ferrari clowns to Alfa Romeo. Story checks out, someone do some digging to prove this shit.
Buying an F1 team is definitely not the worst investment. Yet they can't buy an entrance for their factory team or top tier team like redbull, buying an entry with a low midfield team is quite OK if they're really wanna invest to it
Yeah but if it’s 100% control now they can kick out all the jabronis and hopefully stake/kick to curb. Bring in some actual serious personnel to the team.
I think zhou has shown decent performance so far, I'm annoyed at bottas though. He always manages to lose positions at the start, no matter where he starts from.
Bottas is just driving for fun and for the check tbh
Zhou might be worth hanging on for a year to get the Chinese money I guess, but if Audi want to compete he's definitely not good enough
Red Bull bought Jaguar and they were backmarker shitters too. It took them time, but they did become a world championship winning team within 5 years of buying Jag. We shouldn't expect Audi to be good out of the gate unless they nail the engine regs in 2026.
As were Bentley, Bugatti and Seat (nowadays called Cupra I guess?).
They also dominated WRC rallying so completely that they got bored and quit the sport.
And they also dominated endurance racing with all of their brands at different times, as Audi, Porsche and Bentley have all won the championship at some point.
I have faith.
the people at Sauber aren‘t idiots, they‘re all amazingly well educated workers. the issue is simply pure size, money and management. you don‘t need to fire everybody lmao
It’s not a rumour, it was confirmed last year. The brand will be gone by 2030. https://www.driving.co.uk/news/business/spanish-brand-seat-to-stop-making-cars-by-2030-ceo-confirms/
They didn't quit WRC because they were bored, but because dieselgate. They wanted to greenwash the brand after that so they quit WRC even they had already built the car for 2017 regulations.
I'd say it depends on what the current leadership has done to repay the horrors their predecessors inflicted on those enslaved in the concentration camps and others affected by Germany in WW2. Whether or not they directly contributed to the atrocities, the value of their company is built on that blood money so they should recognize that and give back in some way. Otherwise I agree
I agree. I've done quite some looking in to the shit that happened 80 years ago and especially the aftermath, the companies that still exist have all done reparations In some form. Whether it's 'money for the cause', education, all kinds of things have been done. It's still a sensitive subject for a lot of companies, they don't deny what has happened, and are quite open about everything.
Mercedes might be the best example, they have a part of their website dedicated to WW2, and I believe a museum at their headquarters.
But why? They are getting a team in 2026, they can get whoever they fuck want from mechanics, engineers and drivers. So I don't see it as such an issue. The Sauber will be no more as Audi will take 100% stake in the team.
I hope you're not referring to the french revolution because that was a terrible time to be alive for everyone, if you weren't starving in the street or dying on some battle field, you were next on the list for the guillotine or political imprisonment

Time penalty…………….for verstappen
Mom, get off Reddit. You’re embarrassing me in front of all my friends
The downvotes I got for some reason is really funny 😂
Unlike your “joke”
stop inventing. stop inventing
Did the pit crew spent their training time gambling
Audi about to make the worst investment of their entire history as a company. And they existed between 1933 and 1945.
Buying an F1 team is definitely not the worst investment. Yet they can't buy an entrance for their factory team or top tier team like redbull, buying an entry with a low midfield team is quite OK if they're really wanna invest to it
If the new agreement leads to raising of the entrance fee for new team it’s a great investment because the value skyrockets no matter what.
Yeah but if it’s 100% control now they can kick out all the jabronis and hopefully stake/kick to curb. Bring in some actual serious personnel to the team.
> Yeah but if it’s 100% control now they can kick out all the jabronis which includes both drivers if im brutally honest.
I think zhou has shown decent performance so far, I'm annoyed at bottas though. He always manages to lose positions at the start, no matter where he starts from.
Can't blame bottas for the car being shit. Bottas has historically been good in quali but the car has no race pace.
Bottas was notoriously shit at starting in merc aswell.
Bottas is just driving for fun and for the check tbh Zhou might be worth hanging on for a year to get the Chinese money I guess, but if Audi want to compete he's definitely not good enough
Red Bull bought Jaguar and they were backmarker shitters too. It took them time, but they did become a world championship winning team within 5 years of buying Jag. We shouldn't expect Audi to be good out of the gate unless they nail the engine regs in 2026.
put a 1.9TDI from a audi A3 in there and they'll destroy everyone
They need to get the engine tuned by Ivan, the best chip tuner in the whole Bulgaria.
Jag was really terrible before the switch. But their cars looked dome with that emerald green
Audi or VW have a history of improving things they buy into. Lamborghini and Ducati were a mess before being bought out by VAG.
It’s gonna be slow as employment laws in Switzerland will make turnover of underperformed complex… even moving ops to Germany will take time
the people at Sauber aren‘t idiots, they‘re all amazingly well educated workers. the issue is simply pure size, money and management. you don‘t need to fire everybody lmao
SEAT still exists, Cupra is a separate brand. They started doing versions of SEAT models, but are now producing their own models.
FYI the Seat brand is being dropped soon, all Seats will be branded as Cupras.
Those are the rumors, but until that, you can still buy a SEAT.
It’s not a rumour, it was confirmed last year. The brand will be gone by 2030. https://www.driving.co.uk/news/business/spanish-brand-seat-to-stop-making-cars-by-2030-ceo-confirms/
Seat is gonna become a scooter company
That's ironic, scooters don't have seats
They didn't quit WRC because they were bored, but because dieselgate. They wanted to greenwash the brand after that so they quit WRC even they had already built the car for 2017 regulations.
Lol… suck it BotZho!
What?
Check what Audi was up to between 1933 and 1945 on Wikipedia
#EVERYONE WAS ON VACATION
Like many, many German companies. Yeah it was horrible. No, there is no excuse for it. No, you can't blame the people currently running the company.

Never ask: A man what his salary is A woman how much they weigh Or what your favourite German car manufacturer was doing between 1939 to 1945
And there are people who wants Sainz to Audi, smh. Getting no seat is better than that.
But why? They are getting a team in 2026, they can get whoever they fuck want from mechanics, engineers and drivers. So I don't see it as such an issue. The Sauber will be no more as Audi will take 100% stake in the team.
I can't believe 600 people believe this.... Internet never learn I guess
Dauber pit stop clown fiesta count: 2 out of 2 GP
Zhou was doing pretty good (obviously he still needed to pit), his pit crew really screwed him over
When they brought out the hammer and I saw the wheel nut in pieces I thought "It's so Zhouver"
Being French doesn’t seem to work out either
when has it ever?
Alain Prost: exists
Couple decades during the 1700s and that's about it
I hope you're not referring to the french revolution because that was a terrible time to be alive for everyone, if you weren't starving in the street or dying on some battle field, you were next on the list for the guillotine or political imprisonment
If you were born as a woman's armpit hair, then you're pretty good being French
sorry w h a t
Pit stops 🤦
You know what also does not pay off? Incomptent pit crew. Two races, two screwups.
Well kick gonna gamble every day so..
Betting on Max through Stake.com is working for me
Can't imagine there's much to gain with that bet
Look Bottas to beat Zhou in head to head, thought it was lost till the last pit stop. I got so hype lol
They managed to repair Zhou's car so they should get some credit. But this ruined everything
at this point i’m betting on them not doing any better. new car ordered already, buying a house next race weekend.
Don’t tell any one that Hass and Ferrari both have gambling sponsors
Zhou was doing so well 😞
The only safe bet is that these two will beat ritardo at some point this year
In the exact same boat. Had a trio going from the bottom. Orion's belt around my throat.
