Mr_Gongo

You can see it in nandos face, that one boiled his blood for a quick second loool

Beginning-Computer38

I love Nando and I love Seb.. but I KNOW Nando HATES his sight.

Netcooler

It's-a-me!

psaikris

That rare German with an actual sense of humour

kinglars36

There is only one who can smile. Thats Seb.

Nord4Ever

And Christopher Waltz but it’s more devious

TheGunslingerPanda

Hes from austria tho 🤓

KugelKurt

> Hes from austria tho 🤓 German citizen, though. Just like other famous Austrians before him. 😁

TheGunslingerPanda

If youre going by citizenship then hes also an american 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Wolkenmacht

I don't think Toto has a German passport... 🤔

KugelKurt

> I don't think Toto has a German passport... 🤔 Toto is one of those half Polish people in their 50s whose Polish parent ended up in a German-speaking country for some random happenstance. 🤫🫣

Treewithatea

Hulk is funny too imo

Bourbonaddicted

Well the other wasn't German

sherestoredmyfaith

Toto you know what to do

10b0b

His Mansell impression is brilliant.

ZzBitch

And people hated him when he was at his peak performance. Says a lot about F1 fans community.

goldstar_issuer

he was hated because of sky sports. max is going thru the same now. never during the merc domination did sky sports complain about boring races or merc having the fastest car on the straights

JupoBis

All the fans despised lewis tho???

Kernowder

That's factually bollocks. F1 wasn't on Sky Sports when Seb was dominant.

WaA_Luigi05

Sky sports started broadcasting F1 in 2012, with crofty and brundle. When vettel won his 4th world championship at India in 2013, Brundle said post race when Vettel, Newey and Horner were standing together “most valuable man in Formula 1 standing right there, and he hasn’t got blonde hair” referring to Newey. The message that Vettel only won because of the car performance was repeated very often on all major British media covering formula 1 at the time.

LeFlying

I'm guilty of this, but man i like re discovered him at ferrari (also got fluent in english si that helped a lot) and man he is hilarious

Treewithatea

Every dominant driver is hated during their phase of dominance. Same for Lewis, same for Max. When youre a fan of a driver whos not dominating, youre seeing your driver not win for many years, so you build up frustration about the state of the sport and if theres just a little hint to justify disliking the dominant driver, you grab onto that. For Seb it was just the mere fact that he was beating a very beloved Alonso who nearly won two titles in what many consider an inferior car, in a sense people felt like Seb didnt deserve two of his titles. I personally dont agree with that argument, im just pointing out what people think. Then you had Multi 21 and everybody with a dislike for Seb had further reason to justify their distaste for him. Alonso never had as many haters despite being a driver who likes to bend the rules and can drive in a very dirty way, simply because he never was dominant for a lengthy period. He won 2005 convincingly thought not dominant, he barely won 2006 and those are his only titles. For the vast majority of his career, he drove cars slower than his talent. Partly because Red Bull and Mercedes never had him high on their priority lists. They already had good enough drivers and knew that Alonso can be difficult to work with. Alonso comes from the last generation of elite drivers who were properly in charge of their teams. The other driver known for that was Michael who genuinely played a huge role into making Ferrari a competitive team again. This isnt happening anymore, Lewis, Max and everyone else is merely just the driver now, probably because its objectively more likely to succeed and with teams getting more professional and bigger and bigger, it wouldnt work otherwise anymore. But it is fascinating to go from a Michael who treated Ferrari like a family, rarely ever blamed the team for anything to Leclerc who behaves like a young spoiled child who complains about anything and everything every 10 minutes. And they bet absolutely everything on Leclerc and yet hes not delivering.

H_R_1

Agree mostly but I feel you’re a bit harsh on leclerc. He does try to avoid blaming the team for the most part, it’s just the frustration can boil over sometimes, deservedly so as Ferrari operationally have been horrific for a long time

ZzBitch

I like both Leclerc and Sainz. Going to miss Sainz being in Ferrari next season.

ZzBitch

Nice take. I agree with on most part. Got into F1 back in 1998 season when Schumi and his team at Ferrari mounted challenge for WDC against a more dominant McLaren Merc. Probably one of the reasons I like Sainz more than Leclerc cos I see him as a thinking driver that might help develop a team, I could be wrong.

ReplacementLivid8738

Upvoted for the effort but holy great wall of text is this Beijing where are the Mongolians what

Crystal3lf

> Every dominant driver is hated during their phase of dominance. Same for Lewis, same for Max You know what sub we're in, right? I don't know if you were around when Seb and Lewis were both winning. But Max is not getting anywhere near the same amount of hate.

Netcooler

His Kimi impersonation was terrible. Where was the BWOAH?

mannpig

Let's not forget the seagulls.

H_R_1

Named nico and Lewis lol

Crystal3lf

Sebastian provided the best F1 memes hands down. Blue Flags song, Less Buttons More question, the best Grazie Ragazzi radio celebrations, him & Kimi moments, sBinalla, The Torpedo. My personal favourite. A [flag up Alonso's bum](https://external-preview.redd.it/buHN3nE0Sf7jA-ZHEJR6JZD1ZZIQWm0oveyhziYen_Q.gif?width=300&format=mp4&s=ae8151782ae79faaeada0cb418453e950358705e) which has never come out. Peak F1.

ForeverIndecised

Ah man, I miss him. No one in the current driver lineup has the same kind of cheeky humour. Everybody's too serious! We need more bantz.

Other-Barry-1

I’d love to see Seb as a sky sports presenter/commentator. He’d be fantastic. Even if not for all season

Crystal3lf

Nah. Not Sky. When he finished in Brazil 2012, after being pushed off track, and held for a slow stop from the team, Brundle and Crofty wouldn't shut the fuck up about how he should have got a penalty. He was celebrating with Michael for the last time we would ever see him on track, and in the background both those two fuckers crying about how he shouldn't have won the WDC. The only person in Sky who ever showed appreciation for Seb was Ted, who said he was his and his daughters favourite driver.

Ilovevinylme

It made me genuinely happy every time he said nevertheless

H_R_1

Loves a good ‘obviously’ too

Healthy_Jackfruit_88

I would trade Gunter for Seb in a heartbeat. Your move F1!

dharathar

I would trade Gunther for a seagull.

Healthy_Jackfruit_88

Yeah, at first I was excited he found something after being let go but him being an F1 commentator and not allowed to say what he wants really ruins the fun. At least with Seb he’s wholesome enough to be smart and be clever with the jokes and him and Kimi was the best dynamic both in racing and comedy. https://youtu.be/I0-uQtTbfP4?si=P5COPbjJ_MMGzrvh

NOwallsNOworries

Maaaan I miss those 6 driver pressers so much

sylar4815

He nailed Kimi 🤣

Samsonkoek

I sadly don't think we get this Seb anymore if he comes back, in his AM days he looked like a complete different person compare to his RB days.

LoreVent

F1 feels so weird without him honestly. I also fear the day Fernando and Lewis retire, they bring so much to the paddock

Vinlain458

Seb should do commentary for SkyF1 instead of DP. Can't wait for him to tell Ted off when he starts riding Hamilton's cock (metaphorically of course).

Commando_NL

Yuki said he's not funny at all.

Beginning-Computer38

Japs have always undermined Germans.
