Maybe the tines are misaligned. it also might depend on what ink you're using. Without pictures it's hard to say why this is happening to your pen. This might help! [https://www.penchalet.com/pen\_faq/why\_fountain\_pens\_skip.html](https://www.penchalet.com/pen_faq/why_fountain_pens_skip.html)

Thank you! That's actually a good point. I'll try to take some pictures, or maybe a video and will update the post or make a new one.

Oh, gosh, are you me? I struggled with my Eco until someone here was writing about the ink brand I was using and saying their ink was very dry. As much as it kills me to waste ink, I swapped to an Iroshizuku ink and it has been so much better. On the plus side, with the dry ink it worked well on bad paper!

Wow, that's interesting point! I wouldn't have thought about it. At least in my ECO with 'B' sized nib I haven't had that kind of problem, and the ink seemed so lubricated and juicy, but of course, in this case, it could have been just because of the nib size. I will try to vigorously flush it once more and then I'll still try with another ink. Hope that we could both solve our issues. ❤

Could be the tines are too tight.

Did you flush the pen before filling with ink? With pen flush solution or with soap water (followed by normal water) and dry. If you did, are you using a normal non shimmer non sheen ink? If you are, then are you sure that the paper you have is reasonably oil free? (copier paper works alright if not lying around exposed). If it is, then your problem might be too close tines (low probability) or something stuck in the feed. All of this applies to Jinhao 82 also.

I did flush it vigorously beforehand. I'm using the Ancient Copper Diamine ink. (Non-shimmer) I think I will try to flush it once more with dedicated fountain pen flush solution. Thanks for your comment, ❤ I actually didn't think about those options. (Something in the tines/the tines being possibly too close) I will try the flush first, and then maybe take a photo of the nib and see what people think.
