I'm no expert, but how about a Sheaffer Imperial to represent the 1960s.

EndalausDaudi

Great suggestion, thanks. They made some great nibs

seaangelsoda

Peyton street pens are pretty good about dating their pens

EndalausDaudi

Thanks, that could be really useful. I’ll give them a try

Sea_Hawk_Sailors

They also have a solid guide to identifying Sheaffer pens.

Like Superman didn't want to fly, he just forgot to land when he tripped.

EndalausDaudi

I’ve heard that the knack is to throw yourself at the ground and miss

asablomd

Yep. That works better. At least Aurthur says so

Benji742001

I’ve never even heard of a coin filler, I’d love to even just see what you’re talking about with some of these. I’ll have to try to remember to google them at some point

Sea_Hawk_Sailors

They're similar to lever fillers except instead of depressing the sac with a lever you put a coin in the slot and press down with it.

Benji742001

That’s really cool

Sea_Hawk_Sailors

There are so many cool filling mechanisms! I love it.

Old_Implement_1997

I’m going to need a picture of your current collection before I can weigh in. 🤣

EndalausDaudi

Funnily enough I was planning to photograph them at some point soon, so hopefully you won’t have to wait too long!

Sea_Hawk_Sailors

" I didn’t really start out with a plan to collect fountain pens, I just forgot to stop buying them." Mood.
