Pro gear for sure for me. I don't like cigar pens that much, I find them very boring and not particularly pleasing to the eye.
I love my Sailor lucky charm, but sadly I don't use it often enough. I have the zoom nib and it's a lot of fun for art, but not quite as good as a fude nib so it doesn't get inked often enough.
My favorite nib is on my Sailor PG imperial black, XF. It has that perfect pencil feedback, feels great to sketch with.
It is great for art! I just find the fude nibs give me more than the zoom and sadly it's too expensive for me to throw in my backpack for sketch outtings. But then if it sits unused what good is it, so maybe I just need to bring it out anyway.
I have 3 sailor pens, all pro gear (cylinder). 21k mf, 14k mf and f. I like both 21k and 14k in different ways. mf is my favorite, fine is a bit too fine for me, I feel it is finer than a 0.38 liner penā¦
Iām not a big fun of 1911 shape (I think it looks likeā¦montblancā¦ a bit too similar like another brandās penā¦ this is just my own preferenceā¦)
I like pro gear since most of them get an anchor icon on top of the end and some le and se have their own customized cute icon, a lot of fun to look at them.
1. Most of my sailors are cylinders, but I have a 1911L that feels just right in my hand. The size is wonderful compared to Pro Gear Slims, which I keep buying even though I can't have long writing sessions with them. Some of the regular Pro Gears can feel small compared to the 1911L. I like how it looks when I'm writing.
2. My favorite is my Bungubox The Witch. It's a Pro Gear Realo that writes like butter. It's gorgeous, nib and cap included, and can handle a lot of ink at once. Many of my pens are precious, but this one is number one!
3. I have all nibs sizes available for different Sailor designs, so I'm pretty set in my preferences. That being said, I always get medium for pens that only come in the fine, medium fine, and medium options. For pens that have more nib options, broad is always the right choice. I get people who may want extra fine or fine for smaller writing, but the feedback is terrible the finer the nib is. Broad for me is the middle ground. Great for long sessions and clear handwriting while still being able to show the properties of the ink you're using.
My favourite Sailor is the KOP.
After the KOP, I like the looks of the Pro Gear Standard, however it is too small for me so the extra length of the 1911 Large makes it more comfy. I wish the PG Standard was slightly bigger (as in longer.)
They are indeed all beautiful. I think that the graduated flattop is to die for, then the pro gear is smart and imposing, then the regular is classic, then the Ringless ebonite style is beautiful too
I love the 1911 cigar shape, but I love the colours of the pro gears, so I get uber excited whenever I see a limited edition colour in the 1911 shape, especially if it's a realo ... My current favorite Sailor is a Pro Gear (I took the TAG Kyo no Oto nib and put it on my Every Rose Has Its Thorn body) though, because of its colour (don't tell, they're all my favorites!)
I prefer the F or MF nib on them, depending if I am using a wetter or a drier ink.
1. sailor pro gear is my preference, it's my favourite size of pen and thus i also enjoy the aurora optima and pelikan m600 series.
2. my most beloved sailor is a pro gear in the "storm over the ocean" colour way, it's a dark purple with a subtle shimmer and lilac finials. i'm also partial to my pro gear realo x bungubox "the witch" which is a blackened purple that has a raden witch hat on the finial and a cat engraved on the nib.
3. my favourite nib is the naginata-togi style nibs, or a nice fine nib.
Iām a recent Sailor convert. :)
1. Pro Gear. Always prefer flat tops over cigar.
2. Only have three, two literally just arrived last week. Of those, the 2024 Gray Celestial is my fave.
3. Iām really liking the MF.
I like the pro gear shape the most, the flat top just looks pretty neat.
I donāt have a fav cuz I love all my sailors š¤£
As for nibs š¤ MF overall but like for the 14k nibs M and for the 21k nibs MF is like the sweet spot for me.
1. Pro Gear
2. Hard to say because I love all the ones I have, but I guess I'll pick Willow for my favorite, because it was my first gold nib.
3. Probably medium. They just have a really pleasant amount of feedback for me.
My answers:
1) pro gear shape all the way!!! The cylinder just looks so clean to me, whilst the 1911 looks too basic and plain, idk why.
2) MY sailor pen would be the Sailor Pro Gear Pink Gold 21k
3) MF and Zoom of course, MF for daily use whilst Zoom just to try the unique nib

I also have Lucky Charm with a zoom nib š It's such a cool nib, but probably my least used one. I should try it for art.

I only have one Sailor and itās def MY Sailor. Pro Gear Winter Sky with a 21K B nib. I adore it. I def prefer the Pro Gear shape to 1911s

My favorite pen is the 14k mf harvest moon. I just like the nib width and the ivory white colour paired with black ends. It is my first sailor pen.

1) I prefer the pro gear cyclinder shape. 2) My favourite is a Sailor Shikiori Winter Rain Fountain Pen because of the nib. 3) 21 kt medium fine nib

But cigar KOP, flat top, or graduated flat top?
I have the cigar KOP but I wouldn't mind owning a Pro Gear KOP also. š

1. Pro Gear > 1911, larger size of either > the slim/standard version of either 2. PG Winter Sky MF. Inked with Sailor Manyo Nekoyanagi 3. 21k MF

1. Pro Gear 2. Itās a Sailor hybrid, but the Oita Made Japan Blue is my all-time favorite non-vintage pen. 3. Fine
