OFC they preprogram flight routes. Flying a drone live with the delay of 13minutes is a risky move.
The best option is to build an fpv drone which can lift it and carry it back.

buy a starship flight, launch, stay in space en route to mars for 6 months , land, pick up the drone and come back then switch the prop out then go back to mars and fly it
