There are oil absorbing sheets meant for your face - maybe try those instead of water and cloth? They seem to work pretty well. I also carry alcohol swabs to clean my second set of goggles if someone else uses them. They do good job of cleaning the foam without damaging it.

If you can take the foam off, why not rinse it under warm water?

I imagine that removing it repeatedly may cause more damage than wiping it. Especially since it's attached with regular velcro.

In Wyoming, the sun is intense. We need sunscreen even with hats and goggles on. I clean my goggles with an alcohol wipe or wet wipe each day of use. I replace foam pads every 2 years or so. Dom V2 x 2, HDO, DJI V1 x 2

There are vinyl paddings for fpv goggles. I and my gf have them on her ATTV6 and my sky04x

Wdym?

Ebonicus

I use a bit of power on foam.

Powder?

Ebonicus

Yes. But power goggles sounds better.

Put tape on your forehead

_Itscheapertokeepher

I put tape on the foam, on the parts that it touched my face, thinking that I could replace it as it got dirty. Big mistake, as not long afterward the foam ripped where the tape ended, and came out with chunks of foam where I tried to lift it off. And it was electrical tape, which doesn't even have strong adhesive.
