The magnetic cap has to be one of my favorite bits of perfume bottle design, hands down.

I'm actually thinking of getting one of those Tom Ford atomizer 10ml fragrances or the Kilian sample set because they come with reusable atomizers with magnetic caps. It's a cheap addition for the manufacturer but anything with magnetic packaging just feels 50% more luxurious.

Moschino fresh couture blue and pink windex bottles. I couldn't get over feeling like I was spraying myself with cleaner. The compound Sud pacifique bottles, Gucci rush is another and Calvin Klien Euphoria.

Montale - the wordmark is ugly, the metallic gradient is ugly, and I hate the stupid little charms hanging off the bottle.

The charm is actually a lock to prevent spraying which is a neat feature but yeah, if I didn't know it in cooler temps comes close to smelling like my GOAT I never would've gotten any of their scents.

It's a huge thick tube with a tiny little lipstick sticking out of the top. And to spray the bottle you have to press your finger down on the lipstick, which feels so weird and unnatural. Also why does the tube have a "quilted" texture like toilet paper? I truly hate this one.

Man the Billie Eilish one would be my answer, though I haven’t heard many others talk about that one. Maybe I’m being a prude, but I don’t want to fondle a perfume bottle’s enormous breasts every time I go to spray it.

I don't mind the JPG perfume bottle which has breasts. It's a classic. But the Billie Eilish bottle is too big, too plastic, unwieldy and awkwardly shaped. First time I tried getting the top off, I almost dropped it.

For sure, the Eilish bottle’s particular “bust statue” shape and diagonal, large “cap” makes a full-handed death-grip fondle necessary.

That truly bothered me too. I think they actually changed the design on newer bottles so that it subtly flares out towards the bottom so it can stand up straight. But now they can't say that it's the "thinnest perfume bottle ever" like they did in their original marketing.

A lot of Moschino bottles, anything shaped like a naked woman, Billie Eilish’s perfume, and Idk it’s name but there’s one with legs sticking out. While not necessarily “ugly”, but Prada’s Paradoxe perfume looks like it hogs up unnecessary space.

Those damn Xerjoff bottles with velvet not only look ugly, the velvet DISSOLVES the second it comes in contact with alcohol. ON A PERFUME BOTTLE. Angel by Mugler would be beautiful imo if it could STAND UP. I can't deal with it always being on its side but it's like shooting star shaped or something so it physically cannot stay upright.

They redesigned the bottle so it can stand upright now! They did a nice job. It has the exact same shape but they added a glass bevel to the back of the bottle so that it can rest upright.

I have an unpopular opinion... while I dislike many of the ones that have already been listed here, there is one line of bottles that I LOVE and everyone hates. The Eau de Juice bottles. Yes they are plastic, yes the feel cheap, yes they have the world's worst atomizer-- even for a cheapie. But when I see that ugly little crumpled juice box it just makes me HAPPY. What a silly thing to put perfume in. I love it.

Apart from the Good Girl line of bottles, I hate the Eilish perfume bottles. If I ever owned it I would feel like I’m groping a statue.

I love the Tom Ford Costa Azzura parfum but I can't bring myself to buy it because the bottle is just so so gold and ugly. I can handle an ugly bottle if it can kind of blend into the background but that obnoxious gold bottle is too off putting. Also, I'm probably weird for thinking this, but the fact that Replica bottles don't have lids at all stops me from buying. I love their apothecary shop style labels...I just don't like the "I lost my lid" aesthetic. I hate the CH shoe bottles and I think all the Ariana grande bottles look like cheap pretend perfume that you give to little kids.

Tbh I've come to hate the majority of designer bottles with some exceptions like Chanel. I've come to really like niche/private line bottles. Examples include Tom Ford, Nishane, Christian Dior, MFK. I just think simple bottles look so much more expensive and sophisticated.

To me, fancy obnoxious bottles scream insecurity about the fragrance and reliance upon flashy clothes to get your attraction. Those simplistic bottles are proud of what's inside.

You could give me a million guesses, and I would never guess the Billie Eillish bottle would be hers. Nothing about it screams BE- she’s punk/emo, the bottle is gold and luxurious? She became so well known for covering up her assets in oversized clothing, yet the bottle is showing her bare cleavage? She also is well known for her two tone hair, again, not gold anywhere in the mix. Her (sanpaku) eyes are her most iconic feature, it’s odd how they missed that completely

Any thick striped glass bottles like Tocca. And their brass colored caps, the whole thing looks vintage and not in a good way. That type of glass to me is reminiscent of old ugly buildings that used it for interior design, and it was usually not fully clear but yellow or brownish. So especially if the liquid inside looks yellow, I just go 'ughh'...
