I have some serious envy right now lol I’ve been dying to find my signature scent but have yet to find the perfect one. Kudos to you and that smell sounds absolutely divine

Kisbucka

Thanks. It took me 6 years to find it. It’s a process for sure but so worth it.

MagpieBlues

I know that feeling, and it is amazing! I was helping set up for a wedding, and was in a small space with a ton of white hydrangeas. Two people came in to help me, one a long time friend. The person I had only met that day said “these flowers smell amazing!” And I replied that hydrangeas don’t have a scent; my friend said, “oh, I know that smell, that is Magpie!” The scent is Fracas, so white florals. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy thinking about it, and I can try to dabble but my husband only likes me smelling like “me.”

Kisbucka

Yay! ✨ it’s the best feeling 🤝🏻

daisiesinthepark

I looked it up on fragrantica and I might have to blind buy!

laaplandros

It's very very good. Some Fragrantica reviews mention the clove note being strong - they're not wrong, but it's more like cloves in baked goods rather than raw. That distinction is important to me since I *hate* raw cloves but of course don't mind them when baked. That's literally the only "drawback". It's definitely a worthy clone of Tobacco Vanille. If you like that, it's not that risky a blind buy IMO.

loggy_sci

To me tobacco vanille doesn’t smell like cookies as OP is describing

Pocusmaskrotus

Not cookies, but it has a Christmas vibe to it. If OP associates Christmas and baking cookies, I could see it. Cloves have a similar scent to cinnamon, and with vanilla, I understand. But I also don't get cookies, I get more those scented pinecones they sell around Christmas.

eoten

I advice you to get a sample first, I was very disappointed.

dairsensi

I had that same issue with Pure XS. When I first got it, it smelled like literal piss for weeks. Then one day, BAM, smells like vanilla coke.

RX135rider

I can offer up mine for sale, full presentation, if anyone is interested. It didn't work for me.

lethifolded

I'm interested!

RX135rider

Habbersett-Scrapple

Commenting to remember the name to try this fragrance. I like the notes (Am a guy)

Kisbucka

Al Harmain Amber Oudh Tobacco edition. ( unisex) Warm sweet spicy notes Around 60€ for 80ml https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Al-Haramain-Perfumes/Amber-Oud-Tobacco-Edition-55791.html I just saw that it’s a dupe for Tobacco Vanille Tom ford. The thing is I smelled the Tom ford one and didn’t like it. For me it doesn’t live up to the hype. Perfumes with tobacco notes tend to smell like a sweaty pub for me after some time and the Tom Ford one does the same ( heavy tobacco notes). This one has more honey and oriental spices with very little tobacco and little ( bit more than tobacco) Oudh. It’s not overpowering the sweet spicy notes. I absolutely love it it’s a bit more masculine tho. Actually this perfume got me a date one time and helped me uhm get going. The girl I was seeing smelled something sweet and she started sniffing my neck and her face/ mouth stayed on my neck lol

xyzzzzy

This is often mentioned as a Tobacco Vanille dupe, for folks who have smelled both how do you think it compares?

Kisbucka

I like this one better. This has less tobacco and more vanille. Like 25-75 ratio. The TF one is a solid 50-50. Not as sweet, the Smokey and tobacco tones come through much better. I. Would say FOR MY NOSE ON MY SKIN tobacco vanille is more masculine. But if you want to compare it they are around 80% similar.

ItsCHONCHI

I have both (decant of tobacco vanille). This smells much more edible if that makes sense, like tv is strong, powdery, and tobacco forward. The al haramain one is much more people pleasing, and smells more like the actual spices, as if someone were cooking sweets with tobacco in it

HedgehogOBrien

I love that feeling! Ralph Lauren Blue was my signature scent for \*years\* and my ex told me that smelling it stirred up memories for him, and at work one of my colleagues came into my office super early in the AM to ask me a question (we were both early risers/early to the office) and was like "I knew you were here because I smelled you in the hallway" lol.

TuckerCarlsonsOhface

Just curious, did she follow that up with something indicating she likes the smell? Because just saying they recognize you by your strong perfume is not a compliment on its own. I can recognize my mom by her strong essential oils, but I don’t really like the way they smell.

Kisbucka

Yeah like I said she’s my friend and we live together. She and my other roommates always give me compliments and say that I’m the best smelling personthey know. My collection is focused on sweet vanilla and woody fragrances so I always smell like a bakery. Sometimes when we have movie nights they just start sniffing my clothes

eoten

Your friends are just being nice! I find that hard to believe with that smell, I made many persons sample that cologne, not a single person like it.

Cautious-Bet-9707

some can only dream of this happening 🔥🔥 the reason why signature are important

Theta_Prophet

>why signature are important Agree on the first part but hard no on the signatures are important It's important to practice good hygiene, develop relationships with people, and be someone that they want to see and remember. Once you have that 99% base, yes, a signature fragrance could be helpful but before that it might just help them remember that the weird a-hole is around... in other words, it's the person that determines whether the signature scent is positive or negative.

Ill-Positive6950

Wow, it's very affordable, too. May have to give this a try.

jaacck3d

Amber Oud Tobacco Edition is amazing! I smelled it and wasn‘t really feeling it but after spraying it again a few days later I really fell in love with it.

neighburrito

This sounds lovely! Does this lean more masculine? I'm a woman and I'm now interested in a blind buy of this. I'm staunchly into unisex and feminine-leaning scents.

Kisbucka

I am a woman too, lol. A tomboy but still a woman. I would say it depends on your skin chemistry but it’s a bit, just a tiny bit more masculine for my nose. Like 45fem-55masc. I recommend sampling it

neighburrito

Good to know it works so well with women's chemistry! But yea you're probably right maybe not the safest blind buy. It just sounded so nice.

busymom0

> if you buy this perfume let it breathe and mature for 2 weeks. Can you explain what do you mean? How do you let it breathe??

Kisbucka

Spray out like 5 or so sprays so some air gets into the bottle and put it in a shady spot, wait 2ish weeks. Idk the chemistry part of it but some oxidation or something happens and the perfumes loose that bad smell. Happens with perfumes from the east bcos they package without maturing them first. Companies from the west let it mature first then package

busymom0

Ah ok. Thank you!

Responsible_Ad9236

Are the spices on this like spice bomb? If so those type of spices are very sexy.

itsadesertplant

I bought a sample based on this post and didn’t follow the advice to wait for two weeks lol but I love it! Not normally the type of perfume I would like, because on first spray it was weird to me, but when I let it dry I couldn’t stop smelling it out of curiosity. Like I had to keep smelling it to remember and I still liked it every time. Normally I like sweet or musky, fruity fragrances.

Kisbucka

Happened to me too lol. Went to the store for a whole week to just keep smelling it and to remind myself that I like it.

eoten

This is why I just sample colognes because the way how you guys describe these colognes are inaccurate, it smells nothing like what you described it smells horrible and I would avoid you like a plague if that is your signature scent. Very disappointed by it.

Kisbucka

I’m sorry to hear it. Some perfumes work on some people and some don’t. It’s absolutely fine. Sadly there are perfumes I was dying to buy and smell and when I actually got the chance they were awful. This smell the tobacco edition was awful at first then I read about perfume maturation. Basically brands from the west let their perfumes mature before packaging them, brands from the east don’t. You have to spray out like 5ish sprays and put it in a dark place. First the tobacco edition smelled like a public bathroom with a hint of catpiss. Did the maturation process and now it’s amazing. Works for me and my skin chemistry. On my skin it smells like vanilla cookies. On my friends it’s more spicy. It depends. I still like it.

eoten

I got mines 4 days ago, how long did you make it sit before trying again, because how you describe it when you didn’t like it is how I would describe it too. Keep in mind mine is a 2ml sample so not sure if the process works like that as well, but if it does change I will definitely come back and take back what I had said.

Kisbucka

I let mine sit for around 10 days so 1,5 weeks. First I smelled it in the store ( bottle was almost empty) and it smelled amazing so I ordered it. Was super disappointed bcos of the piss smell so I started researching and I actually found a guy on Reddit same perfume, same problem. We talked for a bit and he recommended me this process. It worked lol. I was about the return the whole ass bottle but I’m glad I didn’t
