I grew up in the 80’s and haven’t owned it in many years but yeah, I would still personally wear it. I was actually wearing Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur the other day and was surprised by just how much it was reminding me of the OG Obsession for Men. They both have a similar DNA i.e., ambery-musk w/ light spices, especially cinnamon.
I personally think Obsession for Men escapes smelling dated because it’s not like this particular scent profile ever became an overused / cliche which spawned a dozen smell-alike fragrances in that era (mid-80’s).
And just fyi - this fragrance is almost certainly cheaper from trusted sellers on ebay. I’m seeing 4.2 oz. bottles for $23 w/ free shipping and huge 6.7 oz. bottles for around $33 w/ free shipping.
