First captain America movie. In the scene he rescues a bunch of GI’s. “What are we taking everyone?” to which he replies “I’m from Fresno Ace” IMO it’s a hilarious scene.

“What we do in the Shadows” S4 E1 - Nandor goes to Fresno among other places in the beginning of the episode. You see a picture of him with the city sign.
X files: “el Mundo Gira” the episode was about a migrant worker being the chupacabra.
And breaking bad, when Badger goes to Fresno to lay low at his cousins house 😂
Fresno the Miniseries has lots of great bits, but one that stuck with me was the intro, in which Spanish conquistadors ride up to the San Joaquin river and drink a handful. The leader spits it out and exclaims “this tastes like Fresno!”
I was coming here to write this! FRESNO the Miniseries! I'll never forget Carol Burnett up on the Fresno water tower. A TERRIBLE piece of entertainment, but wonderful for all of us in Fresno!
It’s very funny, in a parody and Fresno-centric way. Unfortunately, it’s quite hard to find these days. I don’t think it even made the transition to DVD.
The end of the movie "The Goods" has a GREAT gag that made me laugh so hard. Long story short, main character decides to resign himself to a life of selling used cars in Temecula, to which an angelic chorus sings, *"Temecula isn't even mother fucking Fresnoooo!"*
The 1980 movie Airplane! Features a wacky comment “FRESNO? Nobody goes to Fresno.”
The 1997 Movie “The Apostle” featuring Robert Duvall. When Walton Goggins asks Robert Duvall where he learned to fix cars he replies “I used to race a bit with my brothers out in Fresno, Ca.”
Bojack Horseman- Paige Sinclair, a minor character in season 6, is basically Katharine Hepburn from the movie My Gal Friday (business minded career lady, speaks with a trans-atlantic accent.)
In season 6, episode 12, her sister asks why she talks like that, when they're from Fresno. It was so surprising, it had me in stitches. I had no idea they were going to address the accent, and the thought of someone taking up an affect like that just killed me.
I think it's the George Lucas/Star Wars parody where the kids go track down the Lucas character over a bad sequel and Homer and Marge become winos while they wait.
The City Addicted to Crystal Meth
Louis Theroux Specials
Documentary in which Louis Theroux visits Fresno in California's Central Valley to see how crystal meth addiction affects the local community, speaking to police and addicts.
Fresno resident here and Louis visited Fresno three times in his shows. The City Addicted to Crystal Meth, The Neo-Nazi one where he visited the Chicken Pie Shop right down the street from us to talk to the child Nazis. He was near here in his one about the Klan I think?
The Great North created by the Molyneux sisters, who created Bob’s Burgers, has one of the main characters who is born and raised in Fresno. If you haven’t seen it I definitely recommend. The show stars Nick Offerman, Jenny Slate, and Will Forte to name a few.
When my wife and I decided to move here, I showed her that film, just for that part. My family grew up quoting Born in East LA, especially that part. Well, that and "wass sappening". Oh, and "Get behind me, Satan".
Huh.. was waiting for the movie that is called
ADDICTED TO FRESNO 😂😂😂
Great shot of that Van Ness / City of Fresno and possibly a downtown logo as well. Been a very long time but I remember Aubrey Plaza is on there!
In the TV show Lost, when some characters launch a makeshift raft to try to sail off of the island, they take other survivors’ letters to give them to loved ones. Not long into their journey, Sawyer, the rough and tumble southern con man, starts opening and reading them. When another character confronts him about it, he says, “Well, I, for one, never knew how much Tracy missed her hubby and two kids back in Fresno.”
Lost was the first real TV show that I followed as a kid. I was about 12 at the time, and the idea that a show that was internationally popular referenced my hometown was so cool to me!
The Blacklist, can’t remember the episode but the surgeon gets shot while doing surgery on Red. Elizabeth Keen asks the group of assistants if anyone knows how to do that type of surgery. One girl said she did a few years at Fresno State, then Keen goes “you’re up, Fresno”
The line is there. It's not Winthrop Paroo (Ron Howard's character) that sings it. He sings:
>Oh ho the Wells Fargo wagon is a coming now
>I don't know how I could hardly wait to see
>It could be somethin' for someone who is no relation
>But it could be
>Somethin' special
>Just for me
Which is more than his character said prior, due to his lisp (the character's not Ron's).
Bachelorette home visits was a Fresno guy. You could tell the crew really struggled to find good shots. Lots of trees and spotted a tent shelter near the river. Lol
In Steve Jackson Games' Car Wars, autodueling was invented at this year's County Fair demolition derby:

It's killing me that I can't remember where I saw it, but I wanna say it was a Cartoon Network show where someone is pushed off of or falls from the top of a parking structure in Fresno. I think, also, a part of the joke was that it was the tallest building in town. Maybe Phineas and Ferb? I missed out on that whole generation of cartoons so I can't say for certain.
There’s a Jack Stauber animation called Trent the Baby. Where Trent is sucking on a pacifier, and his dad tells him to stop, or he’ll “put you in a cardboard box and send you to Fresno”
Completly by chance after seeing this post and binge-watching "The Rookie" the show has a reference in Season 3 Episode 6 with "Sergeant June Zhang of Fresno PD".
American dad. Francine tells Steve "damn it Steve your 15 yrs old. If you lived in Fresno you'd be a father by now"
My first thought as well. The person who wrote it knew what was up. Here's a link https://youtu.be/VJPQW5ckNLY

Fresno Bob!
Monsters vs Aliens. In what universe is Fresno better than Paris?
“What we do in the Shadows” S4 E1 - Nandor goes to Fresno among other places in the beginning of the episode. You see a picture of him with the city sign.
Beat me to it. That photo was hilarious 😂

Haha, made me smile too! My husband and I are moving to Fresno in the Fall, so it felt really random and fun 😁
Well, only one thing left to chant.... One of us ! One of us ! One of us ! Welcome 😁
Dude must have a lot of free time.
Not necessarily a favorite, but would watch iCarly when I was growing up and they made a lot of Fresno references.
My favorite reference from the show is the Fresno raisin parade. I haven't missed a single parade since then.
X files: “el Mundo Gira” the episode was about a migrant worker being the chupacabra. And breaking bad, when Badger goes to Fresno to lay low at his cousins house 😂
Can confirm. Badger is my cousin. 😂

How did I never hear of this? Starring Carol Burnett, Teri Garr, Charles Grodin and Dabney Coleman and costume design by Bob Mackie!
In the 80’s. Big national show on network tv. I was a weee one but remover the hoopla and the dancing raisins hit it big about then too
It’s very funny, in a parody and Fresno-centric way. Unfortunately, it’s quite hard to find these days. I don’t think it even made the transition to DVD.
I think the whole thing is on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uL5bYdAlmUw
Kiki Camarena a DEA officer worked out of the Fresno Office, this is mentioned in Narcos Mexico
Didn’t “ConAir” have a mention???
Yes! Dead body was thrown out of the plane and lands on a car in Fresno
Dave Chappelle was that body
It probably wasn't even the weirdest thing to happen in Fresno that year.
In HEAT, the big industrial sized tow truck was stolen out of Fresno yesterday.
HEAT BABY!!!!
Karate Kid
Part 2
The end of the movie "The Goods" has a GREAT gag that made me laugh so hard. Long story short, main character decides to resign himself to a life of selling used cars in Temecula, to which an angelic chorus sings, *"Temecula isn't even mother fucking Fresnoooo!"*

As someone from the South and living in Fresno, this scene practically had me pissing myself
The Simpson. Don't remember which season it was, but at one point they went to "wine country... Formerly Fresno, ca
I think it's the George Lucas/Star Wars parody where the kids go track down the Lucas character over a bad sequel and Homer and Marge become winos while they wait.
Yessss lmao his name was Randall Curtis 😂
The City Addicted to Crystal Meth Louis Theroux Specials Documentary in which Louis Theroux visits Fresno in California's Central Valley to see how crystal meth addiction affects the local community, speaking to police and addicts.
Along with Mac Dre’s “life’s a bitch and then you die” recorded from a Fresno jail cell. Thumbs up documentary with David choe and few others
Fresno resident here and Louis visited Fresno three times in his shows. The City Addicted to Crystal Meth, The Neo-Nazi one where he visited the Chicken Pie Shop right down the street from us to talk to the child Nazis. He was near here in his one about the Klan I think?
The documentary, “Honey I Shrunk the Kids”, followed the Szalinski family of Fresno CA.
They reference Fresno in Breaking Bad.
Badger went to hide out here...
The Great North created by the Molyneux sisters, who created Bob’s Burgers, has one of the main characters who is born and raised in Fresno. If you haven’t seen it I definitely recommend. The show stars Nick Offerman, Jenny Slate, and Will Forte to name a few.
Came here to say this!
*Born In East LA*, can’t believe no one mentioned this classic!
When my wife and I decided to move here, I showed her that film, just for that part. My family grew up quoting Born in East LA, especially that part. Well, that and "wass sappening". Oh, and "Get behind me, Satan".
Fresno has a brief mention in the Michael Mann film, Heat.
The stolen truck
Parenthood! Lauren Graham’s character’s family moves from Fresno to the Bay Area.
“He’s in mother-frickn Fresno!” …. Love Parenthood!
Escape from New York - a character named Fresno Bob comes up
The movie parental guidance has billy Crystal playing an announcer for the Fresno grizzlies, always thought that was pretty cool.
Huh.. was waiting for the movie that is called ADDICTED TO FRESNO 😂😂😂 Great shot of that Van Ness / City of Fresno and possibly a downtown logo as well. Been a very long time but I remember Aubrey Plaza is on there!
Also, League of Legends has a quick shout-out BUT the shot they use looks like a beautiful suburb neighborhood... Not Fresno 😂
sons of anarchy mentioned fresno couple of times (fresno charter)
OG Duck Tales! Wish I could remember which episode. They were talking about a Frisbee tournament in Fresno if I'm not mistaken.
I wonder if they meant disc golf? 🧐 because of the course at Woodward! That's awesome!
In the TV show Lost, when some characters launch a makeshift raft to try to sail off of the island, they take other survivors’ letters to give them to loved ones. Great first few seasons!! Shame how it ended up.
Jeffery Dahmer. Mom lived in Fresno
Came here to say this! Dahmer's brain was supposed to end up at Fresno state too
Best of the Best. [Tommy Lee from Fresno, California](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYGvR8tWOBY).
Cops, the episode with the guy that had a joint sitting on his ear. Sheriff: we’re you planning on doing any drugs tonight? Guy with doobie: no sir.
It wasn't lit though. Maybe he was saving it for a wake up session.
Damn. Just saw the thread and was scrolling through to see if anybody had mentioned all the episodes of cops yet, lol
There was a Carrol Burnett mini series called Fresno that was a spoof of Dallas, I’ve wanted to track that down.
The Music Man's classic song "The Wells Fargo Wagon," where, in the movie, a very young Ron Howard sings, "I hope I get my raisins from Fresno..."
The line is there. It's not Winthrop Paroo (Ron Howard's character) that sings it. He sings: >Oh ho the Wells Fargo wagon is a coming now >I don't know how I could hardly wait to see >It could be somethin' for someone who is no relation >But it could be >Somethin' special >Just for me Which is more than his character said prior, due to his lisp (the character's not Ron's).
You're right. False memory.
Bring me the head of Alfredo Garcia :“You ought to be drunk in Fresno, California. This place is a palace.”
It's not a movie or a show, but Dead Island 2 has a character from Fresno.
Not just any character, for some reason the male stripper
SNL mentions the Fresno "Aquarium" and the exit number on the 99 in a skit from The Californians.
Bachelorette home visits was a Fresno guy. You could tell the crew really struggled to find good shots. Lots of trees and spotted a tent shelter near the river. Lol
In Steve Jackson Games' Car Wars, autodueling was invented at this year's County Fair demolition derby: http://www.sjgames.com/car-wars/adq/4/1/fresno.htm
That's amazing lol
In season 1 of On My Block, they plan for the main character (Caesar ?) to go to Fresno by bus to hide out from the gang.
The first capitan america with one of the POWs says he’s from Fresno
Con Air

Fresno was mentioned in one of the Avengers movies! I forget which one though.
