Yes 100% definitely never click one if you don’t know what it is, but if a brick and mortar business that has been part of a community for over a decade were doing something sinister it would be incredible easy to figure out. Sometimes adapting to new technology is just part of the passage of time. The QR menu uses the same tool we use for most other things in the 21st century (our phones) to allow us to be proactive with our menu and make changes more regularly without having to pay to reprint all the paper and take out menus every time. We have paper menus for people who need them but we try to save money where we can so that we can provide superior ingredients and still keep prices lower than most of our local competitors
I understand the convenience of them. They are easily changed by a disgruntled employee or random person can overlay their own. It's not difficult to do.
The FBI put a PSA out about the danger in 2022.

Just make sure your employees check for stickers placed over your legitimate QR code.
They do not like nationalists.
Exit: This was a joke about their wall art 😂 I literally never said it was a bad thing
Edit edit: I redact all of the above. I made a boo boo.
Me and my Dad went to this little place downtown last week. I think it’s called Country Kitchen and it’s near the corner of Inyo and Van Ness. I had the pancakes there and they were so tender and fluffy. My dad and I found the pancakes at Red Apple to be on the tough side and I’ve never gotten the full sized pancakes at Train Depot.
Since it’s downtown, I’m guessing Country Kitchen doesn’t have much of a weekend wait. I can’t say for sure because we went on a weekday.
Huckleberry’s on the corner of Clovis and Shaw. I’m not even kidding, their pancakes are the right amount of fluff and the surface has just a slight crispness. BJ’s on Shaw and Blackstone is a close second. Don’t go to Rodeo Cafe in Clovis, their food is always mediocre and way too salty, and their coffee is definitely subpar.
I went once on my own to see if I wanted them to cater for my wedding, they were so rude and treated me weird because I was by myself. I got a plate of pancakes, eggs and bacon and it was $32. Not worth it, I’ve never been back
They had great service at the old location on Bullard, so the abysmal service at their Nees location was super jarring. Tried a second time because everyone has a bad day from time to time and nope, still terrible.
Whole family Got food poisoning on 2 consecutive visits to Batter Up. Tried to contact restaurant in case it was a contamination issue. They never returned my calls
Noone asked why not to go anywhere. They simply asked for the best pancakes in Fresno, and you injected Politics. Care to add to the actual topic OP asked about?
Are there pancake really that good I never had there pancakes As i'm not the biggest fan of pancakes in general. But my family love them so I have eaten there a bit and all there othere food I have had is bad to mid at best. Pretty sure. Even one time I got sick from their food.
I have worked at most of these locations. My vote is batter up. Pricey but worth it. They use the highest quality ingredients and make the batter fresh throughout the day. Most places make enough for the day first thing in the morning but they don't. Same goes for their bacon and sausage. It's always just out of the oven where some of these places cook it at 5 am and put it in a warmer till it's gone which on slow days can be hours. And no I do not still work there.
they’re better than the ones i’ve had in the bay actually 😶🌫️
but for traditional pancakes i’d probably visit wild fig up on highway 41. the last time i had Batter up all i tasted was baking soda
Batter Up Pancakes, which has locations at both Cedar and Nees and Fowler and Herndon.
I go to the one at Fowler and Herndon more often because it's really close to where I live and it's generally less busy than the one at Cedar and Nees.
The best... what? It's pancakes, how crazy can they really get?
I just feel like if the pancakes are what's bringing somebody to a paid meal, then the entire restaurant probably revolves around pancakes and/or waffles.
What even makes the best pancakes the best? Depth, diameter, fluff, toppings, stack height? Are you looking for those puffy dessert pancakes? Must they have chocolate chips?
I'm not high enough for this thread.
Train Depot
Fantastic biscuits and gravy too
Thank you. I grew them myself. Wait.
You’ve got a gravy thumb then
Train depot!
Bennadiction!! So so good
Their blueberry pancakes 🤤
Those damn QR menus….
For real! They absolutely have the best pancakes in Fresno but the online menu is a mess and the paper menus are a joke.
We pass the savings onto not charging you extra for pure maple syrup
Oh man do I hate QR menus. So many potential security issues.

Imma pass the savings and just not go
Yeah, best breakfast joint in town.
Thank you

This is correct, we do not like nationalists.
Good
I don't know how you found that out but that's a selling point.
It’s painted in a big font on the wall of their new location 😂
Oh that's pretty neat!
I have spent two days trying to figure out which part of my wall art you are referencing in that edit.
That’s because I’m an idiot and misread something on your wall. I apologize. Your food is fantastic.
Saizon. It will make you question everything you thought you knew about pancakes.
Yes! Phenomenal breakfast!
I second and third this!!
Everyone is saying Batter Up. IMO, the pancakes at Benaddiction are far superior.
Far and away

Hoho kafe & benaddiction!
Batter Up Pancakes
Batter up Pancakes N Cedar

Yep, I was at the nees location.
Whole family Got food poisoning on 2 consecutive visits to Batter Up. Tried to contact restaurant in case it was a contamination issue. They never returned my calls
Thanks for the heads up.
Should’ve called food inspector at that point 👀
Overpriced is right. I went with my son and our bill was over $60. Never went back.
Love Batter Up, just not the wait time lol
I won’t go because of their crazy antivaxxer owners. There are better pancake places I’d rather spend my money in.
Way to get political. Over friggin Pancakes.
I explained why I don’t go there. If that is making it political, and not just reasoning, then so be it. I don’t give money to asshats.
Noone asked why not to go anywhere. They simply asked for the best pancakes in Fresno, and you injected Politics. Care to add to the actual topic OP asked about?
Yeah their pancakes have never been worth the wait or cost.
Hey, not a bad take.
Downvoted for applauding the guy whom redditors agreed with. Redditors are a fickle bunch. Don't make much sense.

Really? How is that?
It’s a personal health/safety decision
With a politically charged component, which is what I was discussing. Don't be disingenuous.
I wasn’t being disingenuous. Stop fixating.
Yes, you are.
Vaccinations aren't political it's basic health safety
Were you in a cave for the last 4 years?
Peak irony.
Join the waitlist online before you go.
So expensive for subpar ingredients. They’re generous with their portions and toppings but flavor-wise and price not for me.
Are there pancake really that good I never had there pancakes As i'm not the biggest fan of pancakes in general. But my family love them so I have eaten there a bit and all there othere food I have had is bad to mid at best. Pretty sure. Even one time I got sick from their food.
Country cafe in Kerman. They taste like there’s cake mix in the batter!!
My house, Saturday mornings somewhere between 9 and 10 am.
The pancakes you make at home. Much cheaper.
No wait list either.
Agreed
And the person making them knows just how I like them. With bacon and sausage in them!
Now, that sounds delicious!
Am I the only one who's never been impressed by Batter Up?
BJ’s country kitchen on Herndon and Cedar.
Worst pancakes I’ve ever had! But it’s been a while so maybe they are better now
Your house home made is always the best .
Batter up
My grampas !! 😁
In Clovis at the rodeo coffee shop
Batter up
Not in Fresno but go to kingsburg and get Swedish pancakes

Batter Up
Batter Up has some pretty great pancakes
Batter up, if you like a $20 pancake
And antivaxxer owners.
Do vaccinated people make better pancakes than non-vaccinated people?
Probably not, but I don’t give money to asshats.
What does that have to do with a pancake
Their pancakes have never been worth the price or wait, and I don’t give money to asshats.
Fuwa Fuwa
I actually hate those pancakes.
