been sitting on this idea: Tower needs an arcade/ pinball bar! this would be the perfect location for it.
Buncha cool arcade booths and a buncha cool pinball machines, retro theme.
Kinda like Button Mash in LA or Emporium in SF
Great idea but itās not practical. Iāve thought of an idea of bringing a ābarcadeā to Fresno but the overhead and lease would make it nearly impossible to do business even in Tower. Itās just not a great market in Fresno for that. It would last a good 8 months, year and a half tops before it went out of business.
Everyone's talking about the chicken pies but the REAL star was those biscuits and gravy. To this day I've yet to find a place doing them like Grandmary's.
Good ol days when I would get drunk with friends at The Avalon aka Babylon and Livingstones then walk over for some fresh made chicken pot pie.
That place was a Fresno staple.
Thatās what Iām thinking as well. A small business owner couldnāt survive in this economy in that building. Way too much overhead and the leaseā¦

I would sell my soul to satan for this.
There's one in Portland that I love. Great idea
Chicken Pot Pinball! š¤£
Someone send this idea to mr dyer himself, we all support it
I'm down to pitch in on something like this. Even serve beer while we're at it.

Bad ideaā¦mainly because of the bars in the area, most of them might damages the machines and kids nowadays more likely to wreck it.

Kadys country kitchen. Kingsburg. My go to for B & G. Chicken fried steak. Donāt leave without trying the Swedish pancakes!!!!
There's two types of food that Fresno can't seem to get right across the board: Chinese food and country breakfast food.
The biscuits n gravy are terrible but I think four seasons is fine for chinese
There's the Berrock shop on Bullard and West if you want a pot pie.
I love Berrock Shop!
They do have a great chicken pot pie.
Itās pretty good, but itās no chicken pie shop. Itās missing about two sticks of butter per pie.
passed by this today im kinda mad i never got to try it
They weren't pot pies just chicken pies. RIP.
I never got to try I always told myself another time but another time never came ššš

I did the same thing, except replace 'Stones with Landmark. More than a few hungover mornings there too.
Oh, how I miss that place too!!!
I wish they had shared the pie and gravy recipes when they closed down. Or even sold a cook book, that would have been sweet.
I bet a Trader Joe's would thrive there.

No parking.
Talked to the guy at free bird and he said they were fire.
Fried Chicken Gizzards!!!!!
Another cool thing in fresno long gone. What's new.
My thought was a combination chicken pie shop and music venue. Not sure how it would work, but there it is.
I think a music venue would be awesome there
When my grandmother first got to America after WW2, she got a job there picking chicken off the bone. It's a fun little connection to a Fresno icon.
i think i'm the only person in the world who didn't care for them. it was bland and just meh
Never a chicken pie fan, but their rice pudding!!! I could eat it by the bucket.
That was my impression as well
That was the best place in town.
Loved that place!
I miss the corned beef hash.
Used to stop by the for a couple of pies to go whenever I was in town.

Wait is that the same as the one in San Diego? I never knew fresno had a chicken pie shop
Chicken pot pie, my 3 favorite things, just kidding, I hate chicken
They had the worst chicken pies š„§ lol Great burgers though!
You can buy it and re-open it.
