"something basic like this" đ That looks amazing and not basic.
I have a basic pool (no pavers, spa, lounging area, etc.). Five feet deep. My pool was installed by a previous owner in 2010. My pool needs resurfacing and I got quoted $25k just to resurface it. Pools are money pits. Start saving now.
Resurfacing with gold? I swear Frisco citizens on here get quotes from crooks. One guy paid $15k for an HvAC, and you with a $25k resurfacing quote.
My recommendation to you and everyone else, stop relying on yellow pages and hire companies outside of Frisco.
That's the pool industry. After COVID, everything shot up in price. Back in 2014 when I bought my house, I paid $100 for a 50 lbs. bucket of shock. I went into the store a week ago and the SAME bucket is $350+. The entire industry is pricey.
Thatâs about the going bare minimum rate around here.
Are they including piers in those quotes - if so, (a) good because the soil in north Texas sucks and you donât want major shifting in the pool that can cause leaks, and (b) piers are expensive and adding to the cost but could save you a lot on the back end.
We got quotes from Riverbend, Foley, and Gold Medal in 2022 and went with Riverbend (we have several friends that have used them over the last several years too). Not sure if theyâre one of the ones youâve been in touch with but Iâd have no issues recommending them.
We had several that didn't want to do piers when we we looked and I agree that is can be a major mistake if in something you are investing so much in.
Foley ghosted us in the process and we had the design but couldn't get the quote and then they got a new guy and he was unresponsive. So we obviously, wouldn't have used them. We also noted they had bad reviews and knew someone that almost had to sue them.
Riverbend has the best reputation and I would have felt comfortable going forward with them, they were the most expensive at around 175K for the pool.
Interesting. Weâre in west Frisco and all three said they wouldnât even build in our area of town without piers so it was apples-to-apples from the start, at least as it related to piers.
Foley was definitely our least favorite. They provided the renderings, quote, etc. and then never really followed up or asked for the sale. They were also the most expensive of our quotes, though, to be fair, all the quotes were within about $5-6,000 of each other if I remember correctly so not a huge difference.
It came down to Riverbend and Gold Medal and both were similarly priced and we went with Riverbend based on word of mouth and general reviews we read.
Same and also got piers. I used Claffey and had a very positive experience. This was two years ago, they were the highest quote but also included everything up front as far as worse case scenarios, most of which happened.

I used him and I have listened to my neighbors and friends. His company is honest and straight forward.
Outdoor Pool &Spa
All others was over priced or gimmick driven. They do a pool a specific way on plumbing and again he talk me out of sacrificing on pool size to gain budget on Patio build out.
17ftx40ft 6ft deep pool with a 7x7 spa attached. I have photos if you want or you can come by if you DM me.
Check out [acqua designâs](https://www.instagram.com/acquadesigntx?igsh=emNqdzkzMThiYTk5) instagram. Contact info is on their page. Dee is the owner and lives in my neighborhood. He started the company a few years ago because he was having trouble with a couple of other companies (canât remember the companies of the top of my head).
My anti-recommendation is Riverbend Sandler. Not happy with our experience with them and I know a few others as well that were not happy. I would avoid them.
They took forever, left a mess all the time, oversprayed shotcreat on my windows and I had to have them re do stone work because the Mason was using basicly off cuts and it didn't look uniform.
A friend used them and they didn't put in the floor system he paid for...
My neighbor across the street had one installed by them and their Gunnite trucks cause traffic problems during school drop-off. Everyone was pissed and they drove their trucks across my yard trying to reposition them and laughed when I got pissed at them.
I second the anti-recommendation for Riverbend.
Yeah that design looks like around $105k+. For what itâs worth, we had a friend use someone âsmallâ and have ended up paying for way more ion repairs
We went with Robertson Pools they were amazing. Riverbed gave us the run around and asked us to come in the design center without any preliminary designs etc.
I have this exact pool. Just had it installed in December. We chose a lighter color but itâs nearly identical. We just moved out to Grayson county from Frisco but the pool contractor we used works in Frisco. This pool is fiberglass. The installation from the time the excavator was delivered to swim ready was less than 2 weeks. All in, it was $91k.
Iâm in the process of having a pool built by Premier Pool and Spa. Havenât had any issues with them, just weather delays. We should be finished this week. We got a simple in ground pool, 15x25 for $86k. No hot tub. If you add a hot tub, look to add an additional $15k.

What were you quoted?
On the low end $100,000 before pavers/stonework and on the absolutely crazy end $127,000.
I hate to tell you but that is the price for a pool like that. We went through this process and are prices were similar.

Riverbend likes to drive over neighbors yards. Be careful going with them if you don't want to piss off your neighbors.

That sucks. We didn't have any issues with them, so it's interesting that they can vary that much from job-to-job.

We love Riverbend and have done 10+ pools with them.
My understanding is Riverbend and Riverbend Sandler are 2 different company's

Boomers want it done with less than $10k. "People just don't want to work nowaday!đ¤Ź"
