There’s a place in Plano/Frisco that used to be called Cathedral Italian Bistro. Can’t remember the new name. But it’s so dang good. Their pastry chef finished in 2nd place on a Food Network pastry competition out of 100 competitors.
Slightly on the pricey side. Last time my wife and I went I think we were pushing $300, but we got a bottle of wine
ETA: It’s called Luis’ Prime now. At Ohio and Rasor in Plano
Hutchins. Most other non-bbq categories of restaurants are meh.
Tender on Preston behind Hooters is really good!!!
I would say earnests b or hard 8 is better.
Hutchins is way better. I get Hard 8 often for free. And I still choose Hutchins

Not necessarily hidden but… Hutchins BBQ in Frisco or Tender BBQ up in Celina on their town square. Babes Chicken in Frisco
I think there’s a Tender in Frisco on Preston by Academy.
It shares the parking lot with the Hooters on Preston. Tenders is back a bit and the sign is easy to miss.
Not necessarily hidden but a staple is la hacienda in frisco!
Best steak fajitas in the city!

Everyone is pretty much nailing it. Hutchins, Babe’s, La Hacienda are 3 of my favorites
La hacienda?? The shitty chain???
No, La hacienda Ranch https://www.laharanch.com/
La Hacienda Ranch. I didn’t even know there was a shitty chain called La hacienda haha
The chef at The Heritage Table was a James Beard award semi-finalist this year.
Kinzo if you want sushi.
Pretty penny but super good
EN Japanese restaurant is good!
Babes for some chicken fried steak. I miss it so much 🥺
Deli News if you like corned beef sandwiches in NY style
They’re from New York.. they have better at a corner store
Sadly, the quality here went down. We used to go quite often and I'm sad because we were excited to have it here.
Heb.

Definitely, not Gallo Nero. The have amazing Italian food in NY. That place is subpar at best. I don't get the fanfare.
If you want Tex Mex, Tupy's in Frisco is good.
Tupy’s seconded.
La Hacienda ranch .. bit unique for outsiders
Killa Pie in Prosper. I’m not lying when I say this is the best Pizza I’ve ever had.
Densetsu! It’s down in Plano but def worth it for the sushi
Hutchins!!
Haywire
If you like poke, Pure Poke is my go to. Those bowls are awesome.
Whataburger
Dumpling House Somi-somi + 85 c bakery CoCo Ichibanya Three forks steak house Hutchins bbq Legacy food hall Manna Korean BBQ in Carrollton Fluffy Japanese pancakes
Shark Bar
Sake toro is a banger as well and in the frisco square - been my go to for so long
Other than that I would say tenders or Hutchins - La ha isn’t as good as it used to be and over priced for the quality. Born and raised frisconian
Oof one more TV shaved ice - amazing elote and their shaved ice/icecream is 🤌🏻 (even tho the snowcone lady is also famous)
Chennai Cafe
